Trying to find Walsh

I am trying to find my great and great great grandparents. James Walsh was born in Ireland (possibly Galway) in the mid 1800's. He married Bridget (o)Rooney. They lived on Isle of Man, were stationed in Berwick on Tweed, Gibraltar, Derby and Thorne (Yorkshire). They had at least two children - James William Walsh born 1888 and John Walsh born 189 (plus also Kate, Mary and William). James William Walsh was my great grandfather and the only records I have for him are his marriage to Rose Ethel Carter in 1912 in Hull East Yorkshire, and his death in 1974 in Hull. James William and Rose Ethel went on to have 6 children - May, Rose, Maurice, John, James, and George William (my Grandfather). Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am finding it very difficult to trace such a popular surname! Thanks in advance. Catherine |
