WALSH JOHN WALSH married to ANASTASIA BURKE. I am trying to find information about JOHN WALSH, his wife ANASTASIA BURKE and also their son John Stephen (my grandfather) who was born in 1884 in the city of Cork. The family possibly lived in the Madden's Buildings. John and Anastasia's children included: John (Stephen) -my grandfather, Christopher and possibly Maurice/Morris, Patrick, Bridget and Mary. My grandfather, John, came to England with his brother Christopher to join the army and fought in WW1. He and my grandmother, Emily Saxon, born 1906 in Rochdale (22 year age gap!) had ten children and lived in and around the Heywood/Castleton/Rochdale areas of Lancashire As he was in his late 40's when he married my grandmother there is a possibility that he was married before and had a family in Ireland or England. Any information will be greatly appreciated. |
