Hi, Im trying to find out about my great grandmother, Charlotte Walton. She had three children, one girl and two boys respectively. I am usure as to her date of birth but I do know it was around the 1900s. I also know she was born in Yorkshire but I dont know which part. She married Thomas Woodend in the late 1930s. They have lived in Burton, Holme, Kirby in Furness and Ulverston; Thomas used to own a haulage firm. Also; they had a farm situated in Kirby in Furness. I dont know anything about her family history as her mother died when Carlotte was young, she then went to live with relatives, she never spoke about this to anyone. Any information would be greatly appreciated, With regards, Chloe

hi chloe,
i am also looking for walton relatives- my grandfather was francis harold walton - his wife died age 32 leaving 3 children who ended up being adopted ( my mum was one of them.)
her brother wallace walton was born in doncaster yorkshire in 1932.
francis was born i think in hemsworth, west yorkshire in 1909 ( hemsworth is 14 miles from doncaster)
looking through notice boards for info and the name charlotte walton rang a bell - i was searching on ancestry.co.uk earlier today for waltons so went back and checked for you.
there is a charlotte walton born 1901 in hemsworth so there just might be a connection somewhere.
i don't have much to go on at the moment but will let you know if i find out anything else.
bye for now,
julie
