Trying to find Warnier

Hi, I'm trying to find some information on my grandfather. His name was Gilbert Victor Julian Warnier and he was Belgian, born 25/08/1917 in Amay. He came to Britain during the 2nd world war and married my grandmother Betty Savage. My grandmother's parents managed the Rugby Tavern pub in Cubbington, Leamington Spa and they lived there with them. Their only child, my mother, Micheline Julie Warnier was born in 1945. Gilbert returned to Belgium around 1949 and was never seen by my grandmother or my mother again. Whilst living in Brussels and working as a chauffer, he died on 11/02/1962 in Ostend leaving a wife, Simone Madeline Pingaux, cause of death is unknown. He was also married to Adophine Zoe Henriette, presumably after he returned to Belgium although my great-grandmother always believed he was a bigamist, they divorced but he never divorced my grandmother. It is unknown whether Gilbert had other children, but quite likely. Any information would be lovely, especially for my mum as she has always been sad at never knowing her dad and not having any siblings. Thank you for your time. Suzanne

Hello Suzanne, I wish I could help you and your mother as my surname is also Warnier and my father was born in Belgium as well. I've checked my family tree and there isn't anyone with the name of Gilbert Victor Julian.
I wish you much luck in your search.
