My paternal Grandmother was Eve(lyn?) Wauchope educated at Victoria College Belfast and trained as a nurse in Birmingham possibly around 1913.She married John Percival Lloyd and had her first child on 21/5/1920(my father) I am trying to find links to other Wauchopes -in particular Major General Andrew Wauchope who was killed in Boer War in !899--I suspect the link is farly tenous but I have been given a pic of the General recently??!!

I am not sure that this is a valid connection,however here goes.
My father,Eric Cecil Barnes was married three times. His first wife died in childbirth, his second marriage ended in Divorce, but his third wife was Isabel Margaret Lesley Wauchope. They were married in the Registrars Office, at Blantyre, Nyasaland (now Malawi) on 22nd March 1950. Lesley Wauchope was born on 2nd June 1912 in Johannesburg, S. Africa. Her father was a David Wauchope who was retired in 1950, but I know nothing else about him.Lesley Barnes (nee Wauchope) died at Fordingbridge, Hants on 20th May 1988. There were no children from the marriage.
