I am trying to find information about my great grandfather John WIldridge, all we know is that on my grandfathers (also named John Wildridge) birth certificate in 1903 his father was named as John Wildridge a travelling salesman and his mother was named as Minnie Winstanley. They left my grandfather at an early age in the care of a family in living in York House, Chiswick which was also the site of a company called York minerals, the whereabouts from then on is a mystery. |

Have you had any joy? My Great grandmother's brother (one of four: John, William, Thomas, Stanley) was John Wildridge, born in 1839. He married Margartet Kay in 1865. I haven't sought their progeny but there could have been another John along the line, though1903 seems a funny way on. Great grandmother was Mary (widow at marriage) Her father was William Widrgidge (born 1811) and mother Jane Dodgson (born 1809). For my part I want to find out more about grt grt grandparents and further back. |
