Hi I am trying to trace the Woodhouse Family from Tipton, Staffordshire. Alfred Woodhouse was born about 1860 born Tipton, Staffordshire. aged 41 in the 1901 Census His wife was called Emily, born about 1863 in Tipton They moved to Stockton on Tees sometime after their daughter Lucy was born about 1881. Hi Judith,

I don't actually know about your Alfred Woodhouse but I am tracing Woodhouse's from Rowley Regis and two of my GtgtUncles have move up to Stockton on Tees around the 1890's as well. I can only assume the chainmakers all moved to be near the ship yards.
