I don't think the posts are too long Ann. I like reading about your craft work and your trips around.

Good photos of the deer and hares Mel. Thank you for sending them.

I am going to have a hot bath now and then read in bed for a while and hope I have as good a night as I did last night.

Sleep tight everyone.

I watched the craft program and loved the girls stuff she made with the Filo stuff. Just my kind of thing. I also liked the purse with the acorns.

Did'nt like the quilts, too busy for me.

Well done finding some of the Milton one Vera. :-). AnnG I think there may well be more that kill the Norovirus now. It's good when you get to the till and find what you've bought has been reduced isn't it. :-)

Nice pics of the deer and hares Mel, especially those by the apple tree. I've got 3 necklaces almost finished and 2 bracelets but need to get some strong magnetic clasps to finish off the 2 ropes. No trouble with the error page here yet.

Mandy we watched it and thought it was a far more serious prog than the last Kirsty one. I think they are wool felting on the next one so I'll be seeing if I pick up any tips on that. It's good Colin enjoyed his lunch and cake with the family. :-) Yes I was wondering how Ros got on.

It's the bead workshop tomorrow at the house with the nice cakes! we are making a crystal Christmas tree at this one.

Evening all,

Thanks everyone for Colin 's birthday wishes I think he has enjoyed his day ,we had a nice lunch and then family came a little while ago for some birthday cake they have just gone home .

No Frank today ,I was wondering how Rose got on last night .

Lovely photo's of the deer Mel ,they are after the apples ,I see there still plenty on the tree , nice close ups of the Hare too.

Ann I don't think your posts are too long ,I like reading them .
It was a good job you mentioned the dentist Ann we have our check ups next week when I checked the calendar.
Did you see the craft prog ? I recorded it so haven't had a chance to see it yet .

That was your bargain for the week AnnG, we have a Dunelm in Norwich but I never been ,I do like the Range though .

So you found some Milton hand gel then Vera ,I might have a look for some when I go in Tesco, it's coming up to that time of year for coughs ,colds and bugs so I'll be prepared :-D

It has taken me ages of page skipping to get on here and read your posts. I am having terrible trouble with the error page today.

I laughed at your reading of my post Vera :-D :-D :-D They have just gone now.

Oh went out just before 6pm for a ciggy and I went out to put something in the dustbin and he told me there was a hare over the back field. I wondered what he was looking at so intently. Came in and got my camera and I have managed to get a couple of picks then moved down bu the ponds and then I saw two and then three but not sure about the last one as it may have been a rabbit.

What did you do at beading today Ann? Just finishing off things or starting something new?

It takes me ages to read the long posts as oh usually asks me something or wants something and then I find I am reading things over again.

AnninGlos Report 4 Oct 2019 18:10

That is a shame Ann nobody has complained about long posts and it is nice to have a lot to read I think.
Well done Vera I will look in our other Tesco by the baby wipes. I did look in that aisle obviously the staff are confused by the name Milton. I got my other one from amazon today, probably as good as the Milton but I need more than one anyway.

Afternoon All,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLIN :-) :-) I hope the back held up so he could enjoy the day and meal out.

I'll be looking to see if our Sainsbury's have the Milton gel and report back AnnG as I want to get some.

Gill the garden centres have Michaelmas daisies in now as they are in flower. Look at the labels though as there are both dwarf and tall ones, but the garden centre plants all look small at first.

I've just had to rebook my dentist appointment as my dentist goes to Africa twice a year doing charity work and won't be there. It's actually worked well as I had my craft class and mammogram as well on the old date.

Touch wood, I am not getting the error page. It’s not like Frank to miss posting so I hope it’s just problems with getting on that’s keeping him away. Hope everything is OK otherwise.

Went to Tesco’s and did some shopping and by the time we came out it was raining again so I still haven’t got in to the garden. While I was in Tesco’s I found that Milton anti-bacterial hand gel that was mentioned a couple of days ago and got a bottle. It was with the baby wipes.

You did well with your sheet Ann. It’s always nice to find you’ve got a bargain.

I looked twice at your post Mel. I’m definitely going barmy in my old age. I read it as “three deer have been in the cupboard all morning” lol. Then I got the giggles visualising these deer crammed in a cupboard. I think the men in white coats will be coming for me soon.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 4 Oct 2019 15:47

Yes it was a nice surprise Mel with the sheet.

We have had sun all afternoon so OH has been out in the garden. I have just noticed he has lifted the stepping stone path across the lawn and put sharp sand or something underneath, looks a lot better now as they had sunk.

I wonder where everyone is?

It looks like everyone is getting the error page as only AnnG has posted. YOu will be more comfortable with that round tray on your lap AnnG. We used to have round ones when we ate in the lounge watching the telly when mum was alive.

Nice bargain with the sheet too and NICE SURPRISE.

Good afternoon all. Yes, loved the photos from Jane (because I love Plymouth). Hope you had a good journey home Jane and feel that you brought a smile to your friend's face so you did the right thing.

It was dry earlier so we took three large bag fulls of garden rubbish to the tip as the garden bin was full., we then went to Dunelm for coffee and shared a scone. Bought a new flat sheet that was marked at £25 but when we checked the receipt it went through at £17.50 which is great, also found a round tray which I have been looking for for ages for eating my meals on my lap. The trays I have are quite large, this will be more comfortable. Went to open the passenger door of my car and it came off in my hand. that is the second one as one of the rear ones did the same. OH super glued that one.He has checked with the garage and they will let us know the cost of a new one but apparently you have to buy a blank one and spray it the correct colour. He does say he cal still superglue this one though so we will have to see. That is the trouble with having a 12 year old car.

Gill, sounds like we have got your rain now and no gardening for OH either so he is a bit lost for something to do. Normally he would be at golf on a Friday but he decided he needed to get rid of the garden rubbish.

Vera, glad you had a good night for once, it was the opposite for me. I dropped and was woken by OH getting up for the loo and it was only 12.30. So then I couldn't get back to sleep . I thought he had a bad night but he says he slept OK, so why did he keep me away with his tossing and turning all night then? At least you have a burst of energy to get the housework done. I could do with some of that.

Morning Gill and all,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLIN. Hope the pills are working and you have a lovely day today and enjoy your time out with the family. X

Cloudy skies here today and it rained last night and made my washing as wet as when it went out as in was blowing under the roof on the patio and it wa that fine rain that soaks everything.

I don't know where this week has gone. It only seems Friday was two days ago and here we are again.

Started two more smudge fans yesterday and the day before. It takes me ages to get the feathers in the right place for me to be satified with the way they look but I did it in the end and covered both handles so it just the finishing off bits of decorating to do which is the bit I like most.

Oh has bought me one of those things that goes on the hoover pipe with all the little straws on the end so I can now suck up the crumbs that get in the knife and fork draw and my keyboard and under the micro without having to move it and under the pc and around my desk. I am forever sucking up thing I don't want to and lose bits of felt and lace and string or wool that I don't mean to hoover up. Its great but if you get one make sure you buy the one with the blue cone shaped base as that fits more hoovers than the one with the black and blue bit. If anyone is interested I will send a pick of my one as the first one he bought me did'nt fit.

Good morning Gill and all

Happy Birthday to Colin.

It’s been raining here too Gill but has stopped now. I’m hoping I’ll be able to spend an hour or so outside this afternoon and tidy up some of the pots and troughs. Some annuals are finished now and need removing and some perennials need cutting back or lifting and potting up so that they can be overwintered.

It’s also great you got a reply at last to your message Gill. Just shows how patient you have to be. It sounds as though your contact is going to be helpful.

Frank I hope Ros got on OK at the hospital yesterday. Did you have a better night’s sleep last night? I had the best night I’ve had for a long, long while. I had an unbroken sleep from midnight to 7 am. I’m on a roll at the moment. I’ve dusted, vacuumed, prepared tonight’s meal and am half way through cleaning all the loos, basins etc. Then it’s just the shopping to do.

I hope Jane has a good journey home today and isn’t too distraught at having said her goodbyes. She must be feeling a bit sad at the moment but she should take comfort in knowing she did the right thing in going. Thinking of you Jane <3

Morning all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLIN

I hope the meds are working so he can enjoy his birthday lunch with the family.
Did he have his card and presents off you yesterday Mandy, with you thinking it was Friday? lol :-D :-D :-D

It's raining here and when I checked the weather forecast for the next few days it's going to be wet so I can't make a start on the wooden planter I wanted to do for Sandra. I hope we have a couple of nice days soon so we can get on with it and make it pretty for her. The plants are there so at least she has something to look at, but no lights yet. The screening looks much better now I've altered it and OH said I'd done a smashing job on repairing the bit of screening by the greenhouse. It's a good job I did that yesterday morning as the wind picked up later in the day so it probably would of been ripped off completely. It's nice and secure now.

I love your Michaelmas daisies Mel and was thinking of buying some for Sandra's garden, you know how much she loves pink :-)

Can you buy Michaelmas daisies now or will I have to wait until next year? I've never had them before so I don't know if they're in the garden centres now or not?

How is Val's son getting on with the decking Frank? I bet you'll be glad when all the knocking and banging has finished.

Yes I'm getting on with the garden AnnG, I needed to take out the summer plants as they were starting to look tatty and replace them with the winter ones. As you all know I have my plants in pots so changing the border is easy. It's nice to have a different border each year without all the digging involved. I must admit the bottom border looks really nice now. We just have a bit more work to do along the side border but the weather is against us at the moment so that'll have to wait for now and of course finish Sandra's little garden for her.

I got a reply from a message I sent about my tree 8 months ago. I'd forgotten all about it so had to find the person on my tree so I knew who he was talking about. Anyway he sent me lots of information so that's now been put on my tree. He's just moved house and said he might have more info once he's unpacked everything.

Going to get a cuppa then take another look at OH's tree, I haven't done any for a few days and there's still lots to copy over from a tree I have access to. It's something to keep my occupied when the weather is wet.

Evening all

Gill, where do you get your energy from? Can I borrow some please? You do work hard with your plants. I bet your garden is a picture. I must try to start getting mine ready for the winter. The problem is that whenever I am free to work out there it seems to be raining :-(

I’m glad your blood tests were OK Frank. Hopefully the stronger meds will help you too. Fingers crossed that Ros gets on OK at the hospital and there is something more that can be done to help her.

Little Lewis must be happy to be back at school with his friends and you and the rest of the family must be so relieved that he has recovered Mandy. I hope Colin’s tablets are working and he is feeling better so that he can enjoy his birthday lunch tomorrow.

Your pink daisies are very pretty Mel and I love to see the butterflies on the plants.

I will also be looking out for that anti-bac hand gel. I carry a little refillable bottle of hand sanitizer stuff in my handbag but I don’t think it is effective against things like novovirus.

Today has been dry but quite cold. Late yesterday my friend whose birthday was today had a call from the owners of the pub where she had booked a table for our lunch to say they had gone bankrupt and were now closed! After a lot of ringing around she found another that would make up a table for 11 for today. They did very well at such short notice. The food was fairly basic but it was all fresh cooked and hot and we all got served at about the same time. After the meal we all went back to our friend’s house and she served us with dishes of ice cream and fruit, followed by tea or coffee. Lots of chat and laughter, then around 5 pm three of us left and the others were staying on and going to indoor bowling.

I’ve had a lazy evening doing the crossword and sudoku and watching the athletics on the box. Hope you all have a good night’s sleep.
