I don't know whats wrong with me this morning. I showered and shaved, got dressed, and I have had the shakes and shivers every since. If I don't feel better later I won't be going out to eat. I wish I could stop shaking.
Have heard from Paul, My sister's son. There is no change, she is sleeping most of the time. He did have a conversation for 10 minutes, when she knocked her jug of water all over her bed. He had the job of doing a full bed change at 11.30 pm.
Ros is down the garden again this morning, weeding round by the pond and greenhouse. She is so particular about her garden. I wish I could be more help to her.
I'm going to lay on the bed, to see if I can get warm and try to have a sleep.

Good morning to MEL, TWICE lol lo and you too Jane, you are an early bird.
Another drab sort of day, no sunshine but a steady breeze. Lets hope it brightens later.
Yes, good luck to your OH Gill, and to Fitz. It does seem strange that you will be on the same ward Jane, but I think it's quite common these days. Glad that Colin is feeling a bit better Mandy and your OH also Vera. What with one thing and another we could all do with being put is A BIG SACK and have a good shaking. We all might come out feeling a lot better. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Barry rang last night to say he will be here Saturday. Lets hope the forecast is right, so it will be dry and warm. The half cut back lawn does look funny, I really should try to finish it, but I am not going to.Thinking about it, Lewis could perhaps do it, if he comes tomorrow.
We have our "TWO FOR A TENNER" at Toby this evening at 5.00 pm. So certainly won't want any supper after that.!!!
Going to dice with the shower gain now, lets hope it behaves. :-S :-S :-S If it plays up, I will have to buy a new one.
Hope everybody stays WELL today. See you later. xxxx

Morning all
A bit cloudy here today, but warm with it.
OH isn't at the hospital yet Jane, his friend is picking him up at 11.30am OH is supposed to be there at 12.30 but his friend has to go out. All being well OH should be home no later than 7pm. It's only a 30 minute op. I've just asked him to go to the shop to buy a washing up bowl so he can wash his feet, I doubt he'll be able to reach the sink and he can't have a bath for a while. He's just had a bath and Sandra got him some new trainers for father's day, to where to the hospital as his other's were a bit smelly, so they've been thrown away now. His bag is packed and he has been drinking water like there's no tomorrow, they told him to drink plenty of water as it stops DVT's and helps with the recovery, he can drink up to an hour before he has to be at the hospital, then it's nill by mouth until after his op. My tooth isn't hurting today, so hopefully the tooth will come out okay tomorrow, I'm not looking forward to it, but it has to be done. I'll be glad when it's Friday and everything is done and out of the way with OH and I.
I hope all is going well for Fitz Jane and wish you luck for tomorrow.
I also hope everyone else is feeling a little better today, there are a fair few of you under the weather at the moment, which isn't very nice for you all. Sending Get well wishes to everyone.
You'd think it was me going for the op today, I'm that nervous for OH. I'll be glad when he's home safe and sound. My hair needed colouring again, so I've decided to do that today to take my mind of things. I need to rinse it off in 10 minutes and put the conditioner on, then once I've finished I thought I'd busy myself with OH's family tree. Sandra has some programmes she's recorded for herself and will be watching those, so I don't fancy sitting here on my own with nothing to do.
We're putting bird nuts out for the hedgehog as it's all we have in Mel, she seems to like them and comes back most nights. She's in and around my pot plants so she's getting plenty of slugs and the like to. We didn't see her last night but the nuts were gone by the time we got up, so maybe she came to our garden after we'd gone to bed, either that or the birds had them this morning before we got up. Either way they're gone.
I'm running a bath so I'd better go and check it. With my hair being so long I have to rinse the colouring off in there.

I am so pleased that your oh is feeling a bit better now Vera lets hope it continues to improve.
Good luck to Fitz for tomorrow an d you Jane the next day. At least you don't have the 5.30am start to your op. Will you be able to get on here on the old Ipad? It would be nice to know how you are getting on. Best wishes for Thursday and we will all be thinking of you and Fitz. Hannah's little pressies were just the right things for you to take with you. She's a careing girl. Bless. <3
I see Colin is on the up too and hope he continues to to get better.
Sorry about you not being able to open the video. I have to open in in something called Twinresult or something like that. It takes a while to open too. All the pictures were very large and I can't send videos from my new camera as they always say they are to big to send.
Glad you got your t shirts ok and wait in antisipation to see the results.
I did take a pic of the blackbirds this morning but hav'nt downloaded it yet. Its nice to see the changes even in a day as they grow so quick.
Gill what are you feeding the hogs in your garden? good luck to G today for his op.
Anng sounds like you had a nice drive around today and have been lucky once again with the weather this time.
We had a really hot day today and I am glad I packed all my ice packs as I bought a lot of stuff in Lidl which needed the cool bag and when I cam eback to the car after Morrisons it was really warm in there even though I had parked in semi shade.
Tired now as I did the works, the poundstretcher and the card shop across the way to find some crepe paper and not one of those shops had it. I then did Lidl and then Morrisons so was shattered by the time I got home and got it all away.

Silly me getting my days muddled up Jane, hope all goes well for Fitz tomorrow and you the next day. It sounds like you're ready with the Ipad and Kindle.
Thanks everyone for your kind wishes for OH, I've passed them all on to him. Yes, Jane all being well he should be home tomorrow evening. His friend is taking and bringing him back.
Pleased to see your OH is starting to feel a little better now Vera. Let's hope he carries on improving. Hope the heat pad works.
Pleased to see Colin is feeling a bit better now to Mandy.
That's good that you didn't need the biopsy in the end Ann. I hope the new meds help with the pain and you feel better soon. Your OH is such a funny man isn't he lol? Pity you couldn't see Frank's video, the two kittens were very playful, Sandra loved them.
Yes you will have to batten down the hatches when you have those lovely kittens at yours Frank, you'd feel awful if they got out and got lost somewhere. I didn't realise they were that expensive.
How are the Blackbirds getting on Mel? Sandra was asking about them today and asked me to ask you about them. Have you seen the hedgehog again? We've noticed a few coming into our garden so have started putting some food down for them. We all love watching them.

Evening All,
A dull murky day here too!
I'm glad Colin is a bit better Mandy and hopefully he will pick up now. OH gets IBS so maybe that is why he took a while to shake it off.
Vera I find those patches are very good. I get the Deep Heat ones. They can be tricky to get in the right spot though and hard to do yourself as you say. I hope your hubby continues to improve and doesn't get those pains again.
Best wishes to Fitz with his early start tomorrow. He will have to find some of his large volumes to go under the bed legs at home to raise it up! Best wishes to you Jane on Thursday too in case I don't get on here tomorrow. <3 <3 <3 You sound like you have thought of just about everything and have some pampering treats from H too! You will soon be home again with Chris waiting on you!! :-D
Best wishes to your Hubby too Gill and try not to worry! I hope you get that tooth sorted on THursday. It will be good to get rid of the problems it's causing.
AnnG it's good you have both managed to get some sleep and the Sudafed seems to have done the trick at night. You find some good places to visit and have been lucky to escape the rain. I haven't visited much of that area either. Just Blackpool with training courses at work......usually in the middle of winter!! Also a trip into Morecambe when I got a lift with OH when he went to a match in the area. One more day then before you come home.........make the most of it!
I still couldn't play Frank's video, but thanks for sending it to me to try Mel. I don't think I have what you need to open Winzip files which is what it is.
Frank you will be like my friend with the Maine Coons. We have to be careful when we open the outside doors and one sits watching through the front door! I love their thick fur, like little Teddy Bears! Do you know whether Lewis's job is safe after the latest with Val Pattisserie?
Luckily I didn't need a biopsy last night as she thought the problem had improved. Still pain though, but I have different medication for 2 weeks so will see how things go. I had to smile in the carpark at the snooty looks some gave as they walked past my car. Being a private hospital, most of the cars were either Mercedes, Jaguar or large BMWs, and not lowly manufacturers like mine!!
I got a T shirt this morning for the block printing tomorrow. I couldn't decide what colour and they were only £2.50 so OH said get both which I did. I've also put some potatoes in my bag as I'm sure they said we might use those. Daft OH said would we be able to eat them afterwards!!!!!!! I wonder about him sometimes! ;-)

She also sent a moisturising face mask and a foot nourishing sock pack !.A lovely card too. I think she feels a bit bad that she is going to be away so won't be able to visit. Chris is going to bring in an old iPad on Friday so if Ifeel like it I can watch some tv programmes.I have learnt how to use it today :-D

Poor Fitz has his early drive in tomorrow to the hospital I wish him all the best.
Jane I expect you will be sorting your bag out ready for the hospital ,just think next week at this time you will be home ,I think Colin was only in for five days .
It's very murky out there now ,we did sit out this afternoon ,Colin is a little better it just takes him longer to get over tummy bugs because of his irritable bowl problem.

Vera It sounds like OH is picking up now :-D. I hope it all continues to go well . The bottom is not an easy place for these heat patches but they are good.

Evening all
It's been a very busy day here today getting everything sorted ready for OH's op tomorrow. First we nipped to the shop to buy the screening, OH won't be able to do the job for a while and the shop doesn't stock much of it, so I thought it best to buy it and keep it in the spare room until we're ready to do the job. The builders next door to mum has offered us all the wood so at least we won't have to pay for that and OH's friend has kindly offered to take me to pick it up when the builders have taken it all out. I called around to see mum as she was supposed to have a procedure today making her heart go really fast then slow it right down to see what's going on. She got up at 6am and got a taxi to the hospital only to be told it had been cancelled so she wasn't very happy about that. We're not sure if she's going to have it done now or not. We then came home and I rang the dentist as my mouth is still a bit sore and I've finished the antibiotics now, but I think the receptionist got my message wrong when I asked to see the dentist for more antibiotics and she ended up booking me in to have my tooth out on Thursday, so I hope the infection has gone. At least the tooth will be out and I'll cancel the appointment I originally had a week later. OH is now cutting the lawns so that job will be out of the way. So all in all we haven't stopped today.
Good luck for your op tomorrow Jane, I'll be thinking of you. Hope all went well for Fitz today.
I see your OH's cough is a little easier now AnnG and he's managed some sleep.
How is Colin's tummy now Mandy, I hope the Imodium worked and he's feeling a little better now.
How is your headache Frank, I hope it's cleared up for you now. I've just taken a painkiller as I have a headache, but I think it's the warm weather that's caused mine, plus I'm a bit worried about OH's op and my dentist appointment. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll relax more and the headaches will stop.
Going to have a cuppa now and a lay down, that normally works and will give the painkillers a chance to work properly to.

Evening All
I have just skipped through the posts as I seem t ohave been on the go all day. Frank, It sounds like the Dr wants to give this infection a good blast with these new antibiotics.I hope they do the trick.
Another nice day out for you Ann I see :-D. Good to hear that OH's cough hasnt been too bad now . Did you manage ot get a better sleep last night?
It has been a horrible rainy and dark day here. I was expecting torrential rain and thunder last night but other thsn t jusy beong really hot and humid nothing really happened.
Frank ,Fitz goes in early tomorrow morning and has his op tomorrow .He is getting himself in a bit of a tizzy now. He says he is now thinking his bed is too low!!!! Silly so and so should have had this sorted by now. But this is what he is like . His OH is still taking him in at 5.30 am so she can go to the Gym :-S :-S I will have to be in at 7am on Thursday. Ring the ward at 6 tomorrow night to check on the bed . I did remind Fitz just now to ring .
I went to the Chiropodist this morning to have a good toenail cut. She was a bit os a scary woman . Built like a brick you know what . She spotted a kind of cyst on hte underside of my big toe and decided to take a scapel to it .She really should not have done that as it bled and although she put a plaster on it it came through and the inside of my shoe (by the toe is all bloody) . I said i didnt need an open bit of skin just before going in for an op. I think it will be fine by Thursday . But I have to say I was a bit cross.I wont be seeing her again.
I have been wondering how things have been today for Vera and Bob.I do hope that things are ok.
Must make a start on food. I decided to night is an unhealthy one with Burgers,Sausages, Chips,Mushrooms (maybe some veg :-D)

Evening everyone
Is your headache any better now Frank? I like the sound of your evening meal - I’m not a big meat eater but I do like lamb. I hope Ros’s new antibiotics work for her.
Poor Colin, he seems to have had that tummy problem for a while now and it must pull him down a bit. If he hasn’t seen a doctor would he have a word with a pharmacist? They might be able to suggest something or might tell him to see his GP. The ones round here are quite helpful like that.
AnninG, I’m glad Tony and you had a better night last night. I’ll have to remember to try Sudafed the next time one of us has a cough.
Mel, we have got hot water bottles and a wheat bag but he wouldn’t be able to keep them in place. They have got to go on a particular muscle on the buttock. They vary a bit but the heat pads we have got go on for 8 hours, then the muscle is supposed to retain the warmth for up to another 8 hours. You mustn’t use them in the same spot for more than 8 hours in 24. OH said not to get up at 2 am as he would manage to remove the pad himself and call me if he had problems, but I was wide awake so got up anyway.
Today has been a better day. Now he has stopped being sick, he can take painkillers again which has helped a lot. His stomach pains have gone. Doctor thinks what caused them may remain a mystery though we would all like to know in case it recurs. He managed to get up and have a shower, then had some soup and has been sitting up watching tennis.
Not long now Jane and you will be free of pain and dancing the night away.
Just seen the time...I have to go and apply tonight’s heat pad. OH can take it off himself but can’t apply it and be sure of getting it in the right place so I will now go and do my Nurse Vera bit :-)

Anne you sound as though you had a lovely drive out today. How was your weather.?? That's part of the Country I haven't been, even though I have been to Blackpool back in 1956/7 when I went there with what turned out to be, my ex wife. She was evacuated to a village outside Bradford. We visited the people she and her Mum lived with. The daughter took us to Blackpool on a coach trip.I remember it was a scorching hot day, and I got SUN BURNT
The weather hasn't improved much today, still overcast and very drab. Barry didn't show, which I was expecting, I thought he might have phoned, but as yet Nothing.
I heard from my niece on FB to say her Mum (FRAN) had a fall and was in hospital. I asked why she hadn't let me know, and said "I'm only a PHONE CALL AWAY" As yet she hasn't phoned, even though she said she would.
Are you already for the off Jane. What time do you have to be there. I expect like everyone else, you will have to ring at 6.00 am to see that they have a bed available. ;-) ;-) ;-) I know I had too when I had my wrist done a few years ago. Even though it was only a DAY STAY.
Ros ordered more Anti-Biotics yesterday from the Dr. They are totally different to the ones the hospital gave her. There are only 12 tablets, and she has to take FOUR a day, so I would think, they are a lot stronger, than the ones the hospital prescribed.
Minted Lamb Steaks, New potato's, Runner, broad Beans, peas, carrots, and spring cabbage. So that will keep the Wolves from the door.
All I had earlier was a COC and a cream doughnut. So I am looking forward to my dinner tonight.
Still getting this Bl@@dy headache, together with my usual aches and pains. So won't be late to bed tonight.

Afternoon all Tony took a Sudafed pill before bed and slept without coughing all night. We drove to Barrow and took the road to Walney Island we followed a narrow winding road for miles across marshes, with free roaming cattle on, until we came to the South Walney visitor centre. Not wishing to go into the nature reserve, it being the time when seagulls are hatching, we stopped and had a quick look round before driving back to a turning we had passed which led us to a beach area. We stopped here looking across to rows and rows of wind turbines in the distance, and to our left a faint view of Blackpool Tower. Spent about half an hour there taking a few seascape photos before driving back to Barrow. We had intended taking the coast road round to Bardsea but met with a road closed sign so we drove back the main road route Furness Abbey in in Dalton, it is about five minutes by car from Lynda’s.
However, this morning we drove round to the abbey on the way back to see if the nice little coffee shop was open. Unfortunately it shuts Monday and Tuesday. I stopped and took a couple of photos of the abbey over the fence. I have been in before and it is very interesting but I didn’t want to pay for another visit. It was getting near lunch time now so we drove on to Charnleys garden centre and had lunch there. We both had the seniors lunch of Cumberland sausage, egg and chips. It was nice except that some of the chips were a bit hard, warmed up I think. However, it came with a very nice salad which had a very tasty dressing on it. Back home then to relax. When we turned in to the private road we found that the electricity men were doing something at the end of it and had parked right across the four parking spaces at the end of our drive, Although we don’t park there we need the space to turn in to reverse up the drive which has a narrow entrance. When we pointed this out one man moved the van parking it properly in the spaces. One day left now. The sun came out at 2pm.

Good morning to you good folk, xxx
Horrible rainy day here. It started last night and I think it rained all night. It's still peeing down now.
I was in bed at 8.00 pm laid and read and finished my book by 10.35. I put my head round the lounge door and Ros was watching her Jewellery Programmes. I had an excellent night sleep, got out once, and slept until 7.45. I woke with a stinking headache, which I have had on and off since my STROKE. The Doctors have said it's normal, but I still don't like them.
Glad you all liked the kittens. They are ENGLISH BLUES. I believe the cost is around £400/500 each. So Harvey will have to be very careful they don't get out, like the last one did. We will have the ENVIOUS JOB of looking after them, when Harvey goes down to France in August. All doors and windows will be shut, and bared while they are in residence. ;-) ;-) ;-) I would never forgive myself if anythng happened on my WATCH.
Vera, I do hope your OHs medication is starting to react to his condition. It must be soooo worrying, not knowing what it actually is, that's affecting him. My thoughts are with you. xxx
Not long now Jane. Does Fitz go in today, and you tomorrow. ?? Yes I think a plastic bag will work just as well as a swivel seat, and at no COST. Again my thoughts and prayers are with you, xxx
How is Colin today Mandy. With all thats going on, it's difficult to know who is well and who's not. lol lol I hope it hasn't affected you, or you will be in trouble, each trying to look after the other.
Lewis is coming up on Thursday (Weather permitting) to spray our roof with "WET AND FORGET" in the hope it get rid of all the moss that grows on it. I will have to move all the pots under the front lounge window, and cover the flower bed with plastic sheeting, so it protects the flowers.
I see that France, Spain and parts of Europe, are in for 44 plus degrees of heat. Poor Julia, I bet she will be inside with the Air Con. on. G & H will also have to be careful in those temperatures. Nothing worse the sunburnt neck and shoulders. COVER UP FOLKS. The only cover we need is UMBRELLA'S. Adam the postman has just delivered a parcel for Ros, he is soaked through. I offered him a cup of something, and a dry pair of shorts, but he declined the offer.
Ros went to town with Carolyn at 11.00 am. I doubt they will want to be walking out around town in this rain. No doubt they will end up at the Garden Centre for lunch and coffee. Which reminds me, I haven't eaten yet today. (naughty boy I hear you say) lol I have a tray of seafood that I might have with some B & B and a coffee.
Stay dry Mel, if it's at all possible, if you have my weather. See you later folks. xxxx
