Jane Report 17 May 2019 16:18

Afternoon Everyone
I have just finished cleaning and am enjoying a nice cuppa now. Yes Frank ,H&G will be here this evening. Probably before 8 so dinner will be ready for us all then.

Love the pics Mel and Ann :-D

Crikey Ann, poor OH must have been scared out of his wits when that stupid boy jumped in front of his car like that. What a dangerous and reckless thing to do.I really hope OH has reported this as if thes boys are doing this kind of this to others there is going to be a really serious accident.I bet the video has been circulated between their friends now :-S

I wont be taking shorts and T Shirts on holiday Frank.I dont think it is going to be too warm up in Yorkshire. We shall all be a bit jealous of you enjoying all that lovely sunshine.I hope the dog doesnt get anxious and bitey with you.I wonder if she has been ill treated by a man .You are a real dog lover so fingers crossed she will realise this and will be ok .She will probably still be a bit protective too with her pups.

All ready now Ann? Are you leaving early in the morning?

Mel ,I have received Brigid :-D.I love her .Will send you a pic in a bit. I may well be putting another order in at some point :-D.

AnnG ,we got James a dash cam for his car back in January but I dont think he has fitted it yet ! :-S.. I think they can be a really good idea and I know the police are often quite grateful for footage of 'things'.

Well I have a date for my hip op.June 27th and my pre op assessment is June 3rd.
Fitz is having his new hip on the 19th !!!!!!.So he will be coming out of hospital and I will be going in LOL .

I wonder where Anne is. I know she said she hadnt been too well ,so I hope she is ok.She wasnt going away on holiday was she?

I must get some spuds and veg ready for tonight.I have got 2 deboned chickens with my favourite sunblush tomato and parmesan marinade . Hopefully back later.

Hi all

I keep getting the error page but I've managed to finally get on here.

Just to let you know mum's back in hospital, we went to see her this morning and she had another funny turn so we had to call an ambulance, I think they are going to keep her in to see what is causing the heart problem, hopefully they'll do all the test this time and not send her home to go back as an out patient. She was getting tired and has to wait a few hours for her blood test results, her 92 year old friend was with us as she was visiting mum at the same time as us and she needed to get home to her dogs, so we took her home and came home ourselves for something to eat as none of us have eaten all day. Mum is going to ring me later to let me know what's happening and in the meantime she's going to have a sleep, I didn't want to leave her but thought she wouldn't sleep if we were all there.

My sister is at a wedding today and has been looking forward to it for a year, she is the chief bridesmaid, so I haven't told her about mum yet. I'm going to wait until I know more then text her later. She's staying in a hotel tonight and I didn't want her to worry during the wedding as there is nothing she can do and she would of had a drink so couldn't drive back today anyway. I also don't want her worrying if she rings mum tomorrow and there's no answer, so I thought it best to wait until the wedding is over and she's enjoyed herself before telling her about mum.

I had a word with the doctor about mum away from her as she tends to play things down and also she gets herself worked up about things that she doesn't need to worry about which is what she was doing this morning, which I think is why it brought on another attack. The doctor thanked us for letting him know and won't tell mum we've had a word. I just wanted the doctor to be put in the picture about the way she is when she's at home as I knew she wouldn't tell him herself.

Anyway I'm going to get a cup of tea and something to eat then wait for mum to ring so I know what's going on, hopefully she'll have had a few hours sleep by then which can only do her some good.

I haven't caught up with the posts yet as the error page kept happening and I want to send this incase it goes off again, so I hope everyone is okay. I'll try and get back on here later if I can.

O Frank just as well you have that lampost. Now don't do anything else where you may have a trip or you won't be sitting in the sun for three weeks if you injure your self. Be a good boy and take things easy INDOORS. Aunty Mel has spoken........ :-P :-P :-P

Ann he decided to get me to take him for petrol for the mowers on a Tuesday morning which puts me all out for getting out early which in turn makes me late getting home. This week we went on a Monday as I refused to take him on a Tuesday anymore. He did that to me twice and that was enough.

Still not heard from Anne. Did she say she was going away? We hav'nt heard from her since the 6th May I think.

Annx Report 17 May 2019 14:48

Still gloriously sunny here Mel. I've been watering the wall pots and pots of mint. We did have a shower of rain early this morning, but the ground is dry as a bone again. I've lost the second tomato plant replacement now. The stem has shrivelled up for about 2 inches and gone woody looking and shrunken. I wonder if there is some disease in the soil in the pot? I've never had this happen before?? :-S

Annx Report 17 May 2019 14:02

Afternoon All,

Sunny here at the moment, but I doubt it will last.

OH has gone to his last meeting now and I have packed all but my tops and shoes and there's the bit of food things we always take that will be done in the morning.Tonight, we need to do a bit of watering of the pots tonight and in the greenhouse.

Ooerr Frank, that was lucky you made it to the line post! I'm not surprised it has shaken you up a bit. It sounds like you will be stripped off to your shorts in Spain with those temperatures!! Phew!! It is the usual place in the South West we are going to and I shall resist the cream teas!! Maybe just one ice cream though! I can't be tempted with anything where we stay as the nearest shop is a few miles away.

That happens to me too Mel. I have in my mind plans for the day and what OH decides seems to always involve me in some way, even just holding something. (I should rephrase that really) When they do things we women manage on our own, they always seem to need an assistant!! lol. :-D

Gill, I'm not sure, but from what OH said think the boy moved away to start using his phone after it happened. That's when he noticed him anyway. It's ironic isn't it that children can film adults, but you could be accused of all sorts if you filmed a child. Your mum's room is going to look a treat with the new carpet and furniture, especially when you have decorated it as well. It will be a pick me up for her after having this heart attack.

Going up the garden now.

Frank Report 17 May 2019 13:25

Mel, Ros changed the bed this morning and the sheets and pillow cases have been on the line. It's come over so dark now, I decided to bring them in. Going down the steps to the lawn.I lost my footing, and RAN to the lamp post at the bottom of the lawn to stop me falling over. All gathered in and now on the radiators to finish off drying. Ros will no doubt iron them when she's back from the hairdressers. I would do them, but at the moment I don't feel good on my feet.

Sods Law. I rang Tony to tell him not to buy too much Veg. when he goes shopping tomorrow, only to find he went this morning. (HE NEVER DOES THAT) :-P :-P :-P So I said he can still have all the veg, and if they don't eat it, to throw it away.

We will still be here on Monday/Tuesday to put out and bring in the bins. Next week I hope Tracy will put ours out. If not Tony might remember.

Every thing is done for dinner tonight. I expect Ros will pop to Tesco tomorrow when she has her nails done. There might be a couple of things we want, but not much.

It is so dark indoors, that I have put the table lights on. The heating is on also. Roll on Tuesday, so I can get some SUN on my back. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 17 May 2019 13:03

Rain stopped play this morning and its blimmin cold out there now so no gardening for me today unless I go and do something in the shed with the door shut.

Will Ros's plants indoors last three weeks without water Frank. Don't lose the braclet this time around like you did last time. You don't want that worry again.

Think I may do a bit of craft this afternoon as its so dark and cold out there.

I sent Jane a parcel yesterday but the bl**dy van had no ink cartridge spare so I could'nt get a receipt for it. I paid for first class so it should be there today.

Frank

Frank Report 17 May 2019 10:06

Good morning Mel, and all.

Ann that was a terrible experience for your OH. The little beggers have more than likely seen this SCAM on T.V. or some silly show, thinking they will get compensation if they report it to the police. I think your OH should report the incident, not only to the police but the school also. The little blighters might be trouble makers in school as well, and the staff will know about their antics,

Horrible, cold, overcast morning here. It certainly looks like rain. I did promise Ros last night that I would give everywhere a good watering this morning, somehow I don't think I will need too.

Pam Denis and Tracy are off on holiday to Dorset on Monday, so they won't want any vegetables. So Tony and Val. will get the lot. He won't need to buy any for a week, as they don't eat like we do. She is often sitting outside, with bowl of cereal, for her lunch. I don't think they do a lot of cooking at all.

I see you are busy in the gardens girls, !! It will keep you out if mischief. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Julia is down in CORNWALL looking after Laura's daughter while her and her partner are in the Carribbean for a week. I hope she's back, to take us to the airport on Tuesday afternoon. I will have to check with Harvey tonight.

Conrad rang last night and said. DON'T bring any jumpers/cardigans, as the evening are getting warmer, and daytime temps. are up to 28/30 degrees. JUST a bit warmer than here. lol lol

Ros has her hair appointment today, and her nails tomorrow, so she will be set up for her holiday. We have almost finished packing, with only odd and sods to go in. I am taking mainly shorts and short sleeve shirts, just a couple of pairs of slacks, for going out in the evenings. Plus I mustn't forget the Anniversary Card and Bracelet that I have bought for Ros.

I have just got two sirloin steak out for dinner tonight. I will do the mushrooms, onions, chips and peppered sauce, while she is at the hairdressers at mid day. I have also got a joint of beef out of the freezer for Sunday lunch. So I am well ahead of my self. ;-) ;-) ;-) It is really cold outside, so wrap up if you are going out.I think the forecast is better for you next week. I do hope so.

Is it today that Hannah and Gareth are coming for the weekend Jane. ?? it will be nice for them and James to have a bit of time together.

I hope Ann has a lovely break this coming week, Can't remember where you are going, but enjoy yourself. Not to many cream teas, if you are going South West. lol lol

Ros is cleaning the kitchen windows inside, and cleaning the window sills, dusting all her plants, and giving them a feed. They should last until we get back.

AnninG will be back today, to a load of washing no doubt. lol lol. I hope you enjoyed Wales. xx

Might try to get back later. xxxx

Just wrote a whole piece oh spoke to me and I looked up and accidentally touched the screen and lost the lot.
Annx I. Was saying that used to be called playing chicken.
In our village we have a problem with youngsters riding the path and suddenly swerving into the road, or riding three or four abreast slowly stopping the traffic. Even though the
Police have caught some of them they still do it. That is why we have carcams on both our cars.

Gill think we are going to a garden today. It has been raining but has stopped now.
The sea is very rough this morning, even though we are four floors up it is very loud as it rattles the shingle

Morning all,

Skies a bit cloudy like yesterday but its nice and bright this morning so looks promissing for the day ahead.

Am wanting to go in the garden today but will see what oh has planned for me because if I decide to do something he usually gets me to do something else which is so annoying.

I also want to wash m y hair today.

Jane if you're looking in I have posted the parcel but forgot to take a picture of it so could you please send me one, thank you.

Gosh she got a big clutch there Ann. I hope she keeps all 11.

Sunsets beautiful.

What an experience for oh though Ann. I hope nothing comes of it. I wonder if they had G's car reg on the phone? Surely G swerved in the opposit direction away from the lad and they could have seen that.

I don't know what the world is coming to nowadays. Just wait till they are older and something lik ethat happens to them. I wonder if they would remember doing when young?

I am off to bed now as I am wacked out.

See you all in the morning.

I missed your post Ann, I hope your OH is okay, what an awful experience to go through. He should of phoned the police, if the boy had recorded it on his phone the police would of seen exactly what had happened and told the boys off. I'm sure nothing will come of it and hope he's okay.

I've just noticed the pictures you sent, the sunset is beautiful and those ducklings just melt your heart don't they.

Gillx Report 16 May 2019 22:41

It sounds like you've had another lovely day AnnG, where are you off to next?

The wind picked up here this afternoon and some big black clouds appeared, luckily it didn't rain as I didn't take a coat with me when we visited mum, it stayed dry in the end anyway, but it's gone colder now.

You've been busy to in your garden Mel, it's nice when you can get on with all the outside jobs that need doing, I finally sorted out moving my pots around this morning. I wanted to do it the other week but we had all that rain so it had to wait.
I've taken a proper look at the emails you sent me, thanks again for sending them.

It sounds like you've had fun buying some plants Ann, Sandra and I love pink and have quite a few pink plants in flower in our garden, they look lovely. Sorry to hear about your friends hubby, it's quite scary when that happens to loved ones, you feel so useless and you're just waiting for some good news. I'm pleased to see my mum is finally listening to people and resting, she said she's not going out for the rest of the week, I just hope she sticks to it as she's one for going here and there all the time.

We're going to take her to Homebase for her paint when she's up to it, she wanted to go next week but OH has a few appointments, so I said to wait a little longer as the job isn't being done until the middle of June and she would benefit from rest, rather than worrying about paint. She agreed in the end but, I think it's because she could see I was worried about her.

How are you feeling now Frank? I hope you have another good nights sleep, it'll probably do you the world of good.

Sorry, late on parade?? I have read through but too tired to answer all the posts.
Annx I have been wesri g a fleece in the evenings some days. I do also have a coat with me which might well be of use next week.Realised I have not popped in today. It was sunny and warm all day so lots of visiting different beaches and sitting in the sun drinking coffee or wine. Weather looks like changing tomorrow our last day at Criccieth so we have a garden visit planned. Then it will be packing ready to move on.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 16 May 2019 21:20

Your mum enjoyed the stew then Gill and has more left for tomorrow. It sounds like she is going to be really pleased wehn you decorate the living room for her. She won't recognise her place with the new furniture.

I have been in the garden all afternoon again but you can't see anything I have done. I cut the long grass from around the arch in the orchard and tied up the Clematis on it. Tied up the Clematis in the tubs outside the bungalow and repotted some plants and tonight I had a bonfire and burnt up all the clippings off the rose I cut off the other day.

Pulled some nettles up too. There's no wind tonight so I used the tissues in the waste aper basket to light the fire and picked up some branches that had fallen off the big ash tree onto the lawn and they went on too.

When you look out there you can't see a thing I have done.

Annx Report 16 May 2019 21:15

Evening All,

A nice day, but the temperature has dropped sharply tonight! I was getting in the car to go to one of the free talks at the hospital tonight and dashed back to shut the greenhouse door when I felt the cold breeze.

That's good your mum enjoyed your stew Gill and good to know she had something warm and nourishing to eat. She needs to just take it easy till they have sorted her out. A friend's hubby had a heart attack on Monday and they are keeping him in hospital till they have done the scans etc. He had a heart attack about a year ago and had a bad stroke at the age of 45. He is 80 now.

I decided to give beading a miss again tomorrow as I have too much to do before we go away. I bought some pink Snapdragons today as the other colours didn't look as good and another pink, so have been planting those instead of packing and cleaning!! I did do the bathroom and en suite though. The garden has somehow ended up mostly pink and purple this year, so it will be interesting to see how it all looks once everything is flowering.

Mandy those kinds of days are the ones when nobody notices how much you have done!! It's still satisfying to get them all done though.

Silly me left a cardigan behind at the hospital when I went yesterday!!:-( OH said to ring their lost property, but it was quite an old one that I was thinking of throwing out anyway so not worth making the trip really.

Frank it's horrid when you feel faint like that, but it was sensible and come inside and not risk falling. I hope you feel better now. OH gets like that sometimes and his hands get trembly. I'm sure it's when he hasn't eaten for a while.

I saw the ducklings today, but I think there are a few less than there were. They are so cute though and getting bigger now!

It's good the egg production is up Mel! :-D Let's hope they keep it up. Thanks for your pics. The Wisteria is looking lovely and the Hawthorne tree is beautiful. I love to see a Hawthorne tree instead of just hedges as, with not being cut, they have loads more blossom and I quite like the smell of it.

Hope AnnG had a good day. I try to do the layers thing too AnnG! Ever since the 'hot flushes' as I still tend to get hotter than everyone else. lol It can be a bit breezy where we stay though, so I'm even taking a fleece.
Beautiful sunset tonight.

Gillx

Gillx Report 16 May 2019 19:03

Feeling faint isn't good Frank, maybe something sweet like Mandy said, even if it's just a drink of pop and a mars bar, so long as you get some sugar in you it should help.

It sounds like Colin is getting on well with the panels Mandy. I know what you mean with the little jobs it doesn't always look like you've done anything, but you know you have and I'm sure it does make a difference, every little bit helps.

Mum loved the stew and has some left over for tomorrow. She had a big bowl full as soon as I took it around as she was hungry, she said it was lovely. We're going to see her in the morning and her friend will be calling around to.

Mum's just had a new three piece suite and carpet fitted and it looks lovely, it was done the day before she went into hospital. She's having some new furniture delivered on Tuesday, it should of been delivered the day she took ill so it had to be put on hold, she's also looking forward to us decorating her living room, which should finish it off nicely.

Evening all,

Nice to see you Jane <3 time away for Hannah and Gareth sounds a great idea after all they had to deal with , let the tears flow nothing wrong in that ,it's not good to hold it all in
I'm sorry your psoriasis is back again but with all the stress it's not surprising it's started again ,you need your holiday so you can try and relax .
Oh dear a christening will be hard for them both and hard for the friends who invited them too as they will probably be on edge as to what to say ,i do feel for them .

We've been in the garden ,Colin has got one panel up today , i've pottered and you carn't really see what i've done as it's all little odd jobs .

Ann that's good the surgeon was pleased with you and i had to smile that you celebrated with a choc ice LOL at least you know you can have the summer to see how you go and the two month wait isn't to bad a time to have to wait for the op.

That good mum is home Gill and your keeping an eye on her ,i'm sure the stew will go down a treat .

Lovely photo's Mel ,the tree looks beautiful and the Wisteria ,it sounds as if your girls are getting use to the new house now and laying more lovely eggs for you .
I thought of Anne too ,it's quite a few days since we've heard from her i hope she's ok.

Sorry to hear you've felt faint today Frank and you had a good nights sleep too , have you tried having some thing sweet when you feel like that perhaps your sugar level drops .
