I'm sure your MUM all be very pleased with the stew Gill. I love a stew anytime of the year. Ros makes one, that is to die for.
A neighbour across the road, Jean. Her daughter just called over to ask Ros if she would like some unfinished tapestry and knitting. Together with a bag of knitting needles, cottons, silks, wools and loads of bits and pieces. She knew Ros belonged to "STITCHERY DO" and thought of her before throwing them away. She got married again THREE WEEKS AGO. Her poor 1st husband died a few years ago, as did the new husband's wife. The new husband is clearing out the house of things that were his wife's. That's how Ros has come into all this stuff. Ros will take what she doesn't want to S. Do, which I think will be most of it.!!!!
I have felt faint all day today. I did manage to put the line up while Ros went to Tesco, and emptied the whites wash from the machine into the basket. When I went to take it out to put it on the line, I nearly went a "PEARLER" so left the basket on the patio. Ros hung it out when she got back. She has since done a coloureds wash and this is on the line as well.
She is at the Drs having her Diabetics check up. then she will call and see Valerie Barker regarding Choir practise tonight, and the watering of the plants while we are away. Val and Carolyn have offered to do it between them.
Sorry Mel, What is very clever. ?? I am always doing clever things. lol lol
Ready meals from Iceland for tonight, so no cooking for me. We have a fridge full of fresh vegetables, so Pam and Tony will have that between them on Monday. I know we will never eat all that's in there. I hate to just throw it out.
Pleasant sunshine at the moment, even though I feel cold, and shivery. I hope I'm not going down with anything, before our holiday.
Hope you find Mum well tomorrow Gill, and hope that G & H have a nice break at Whitsun, Have you decided where they are being sent yet ?? Wherever it is, I am sure they will appreciate it, and enjoy the time away, together.
It's starting cloud over, so I think I will try to get the washing in, in case it start to rain.

Love the pictures Mel, that tree is massive and all that blossom what a lovely tree to look at. The wisteria looks good to.
I'm just making a pan of strew for mum, I thought it would be easier for her to just warm a bowl up when she fancied it and it would save her cooking. The weather is suppose to be going colder over the next few days so it'll warm her up to. I'm making a bit extra so Sandra and I can have some here as well. I'll drop mum's stew off later.
There's a lot of noise coming from next door, he's still having his kitchen put in so there's sawing and banging. I don't think it'll take them long to finish it at the rate they are working, it's the insurance doing it so it'll be done properly. I think the new neighbours are moving in next week or the week after.
Well, I'd better go and keep an eye on this stew before it burns, I don't think mum would like that ;-)

You should try and keep all your chargers in one place Frank. Thats what I try and do. Trouble is these days you get so many. You must have needed that sleep and 10 hours was a nice long time. Your shower should have woken you up.
I have been up the top and taken some pics of the lovely Hawthorn tree oh plants out the top in front of the potting sheds. Its a picture in full blossom and a beautiful shape too. The Wisteria is hanging over the wall on the way up and also has a Hawthorn tree which it has gown into. I never prune it because I can't get to it with the top garden being so overgrown and its high up anyway so well out of my 5' 2" reach.
Its sunny but watery if you know what I mean and the sky is a bit cloudy and only showing a little blue here and there.
I had three eggs this morning so thats two days in a row now. What good girls when the weather is dry!

Missed your post there Frank. Pleased to see you had a good nights sleep 10 hours is a long time so you must of needed it. Yes, that's a good idea to let the dog come to you and maybe you could wait for cuddles of her babies to as she might not like it. I'm sure she'll come around once she knows you aren't going anywhere for a while. The slate mine sounds huge it must of been lovely to see, but not so good for the men working down there I shouldn't think. That was nice for you to have a free pint and Ros a free pud, at least your second meal was better than the first one. I hope Ros find the right charger for your razor or you'll look like Grizzly Adams when you get home lol :-D :-D ;-)

Morning Mel, morning all
Nice to see you on here Jane, sorry to hear about your psoriasis and hope it clears up soon, you're probably right and it's the stress that has made it flare up. What a lovely idea of you and Gareth's parents to pay for a holiday for Hannah and Gareth, it'll do them the world of good to get away. I should expect there will be lots of tears and hugs over the weekend, but nice to all be together. How is James now?
Sorry to hear about your sister Frank, I fully understand how you think the kindest thing for her is to pass in her sleep, it can't be easy for you right now. Sending hugs <3 Enjoy your time in Spain it'll be nice to see all those puppies and give them plenty of cuddles,I bet you'll be tempted to put one or two of them in your suitcase when you come home lol ;-)
How is your ankle today AnnG, I remember doing something similar to you and it took a while for it to get better, the walking pole will help.
The teachers and children did well with the fire drill 3 minutes is a good time to get out of the building Mandy, it's such a shame they have to do an intruder one to, but I suppose it's the sign of the times isn't it? How is the painting gong on the fence panels at least you have the weather for it, it's lovely and sunny at the moment.
What a shame you could make it to see the film Vera, at least you got a refund for more plants :-D :-D I loved the comment you made on your garden expanding, it made me laugh. I hope your back is better soon, rest up today and don't over do things.
Not long to wait for your op now Ann, it's good the doctor is pleased with you. Not to many of those choc ices, you don't want to undo all your hard work. You can always send them to me I'll help you out with them lol ;-)
I don't blame you for getting out in the garden today Mel, it's lovely out there. OH and I have just been sorting out our pots, removing the one's that have gone over and replacing them with the next ones to flower. My mum said yesterday every time she comes around our garden is a different colour, she said it looks really nice and she looks forward to seeing what else is going to flower, she also loves our water feature.
Mum was saying yesterday that she has to have something done to her heart, she couldn't remember the name of it, but they are going to speed her heart up then slow it down to see what is happening. It sounds very scary I hope she'll be okay, not sure when they are doing it though.
My sister is visiting her today and we're going tomorrow as my sister is at a wedding, so we've organised it between us so mum has visitors each day, plus it's our way of making sure she doesn't over do things again, as she loves to go out all the time. This way she'll have to stay in for a couple of days which is our crafty way of making her rest. Her friend didn't make it yesterday as it was a bit late for her, she's in her 90's, so she's visiting her this morning before my sister goes this afternoon and we'll call around tomorrow morning. Between us all she'll have some company and be resting at the same time, rather than driving here and there all day like she normally does.

Good morning Mel, and All,
Haven't really read the posts, as there are so many ;-) ;-) ;-). Glad to see you hone Jane, and good that you and G M & D are sending them away for a few days. It will do them good.
Pleased your Mum is home Gill. I am sure she will be more comfortable in her own surroundings. Give her my best wishes. xx
Annin G. When we visited North Wales, we stayed in a cottage close to the railway that went to Port Maddoch (sp) also a Slate mine, which we went down. What an experience. How these men worked down there I will never know. The part we went in was the size of WEMBLEY ARENA. !!! We just couldn't get over the size of it, and how the echo's went on forever. lol lol
Ros has miss lain the padlocks to the cases, so s going to pop and get some. She bought me a new Electric Razor for xmas. and we can't find the lead to the charger. She will take it with her and try to buy another. I have bought THREE on Ebay, but they have all had to go back, WRONG SIZE. :-P :-P :-P
Jan rang yesterday, she is still in Spain. She warned us that the DOG doesn't like MEN other than Conrad. A builder chap came the other day, and she tried to bite him. !! I said to Ros if she try that with me, I will get her a muzzle. I couldn't stand that for three weeks.!!! I will just ignore her and see if she comes to me on her terms. lol
Haircut done, and we went on to eat. My Haddock wasn't very nice so I complained. It had been fried too much and was as dry as old bones. They bought me another, which was lovely, and offered us a free sweet for the inconvenience. Rod had a Syrup Sponge and custard. Me not liking sweets so much, settled for another PINT.
Last night I slept for almost TEN HOURS, apart from a wee. I suppose as I haven't been sleeping too well, it just took over last night. I am walking around like a ZOMBIE at the moment. A shower should bring me to life. lol

Good morning all,
We have another nice day here today and I am hoping to go in the garden and do some more work if my back will let me.
There's washing to go on the line first and feed the girls.
I am still worried about Anne and hope there is nothing wrong.
Jane will be looking forward to have H and G for the weekend. It will be nice to have the family together for lots of hugs and kisses and there's bound to be a few tears but time will heal and I am sending best wishes to you all. <3 <3 <3
Now I must get on as I have to catch the post van.

Good to see you on here Jane but just check in when you feel like it. For you it is double the grieving. Your own grief for your little one and your grief for H as you know you can’t make it better as mums do. One thing is to let her talk about the baby, you all need to do that. She will find that people avoid the subject as if it didn’t happen. When something similar happened to our son and his wife they had a cremation/funeral, just for them we didn’t go. But there is a memorial stone in the churchyard which was/is a great comfort to visit. I hope your psoriasis soon clears up and that H and G will feel a bit better after their break. As Vera says tears are good. Hopefully they are strong and have each other so will get through this horrible time.
Annx difficult to know what to pack. I can only suggest layers I have camisoles, T shirts, long sleeved sweat shirts and sweaters, looks like our weather may not be good next week too.

Good evening all
It’s good that your Mum could come home Gill and reassuring that the doctors thought she was well enough. I am sure it is a comfort to her to have you reasonably close by.
Hannah and Gareth will appreciate the time away Jane. It’s probably the best thing you can do for them at the moment. It’s good that there are tears - tears are healing. Sorry to hear about your psoriasis. Hopefully it will improve soon.
I am pleased your ankle injury isn’t too bad AnnG and you have been able to get out and about in the good weather.
It sounds as though you are also doing well Ann as your surgeon is so pleased with you. Don't have too many of those choc ices. Now I just fancy a choc ice....
You must be concerned about your sister Frank. It’s very sad but it would be best for her and her family if she could just quietly slip away in her sleep. I hope at least that she is not in any pain. I haven’t had time to read your life story that Mandy kindly emailed to me but I have saved it in a separate file so it won’t accidentally get deleted and hope to read it soon.
Your son’s fire drill went well Mandy. It’s good going to get everyone out so quickly. Isn’t it sad that children and staff also have to practice anti-intruder drill?
I hope your OH’s back is OK Mel. Did he manage to clear your pond of leaves and flowers without clearing it of fish?
My back is still giving me some problems so OH planted up the rest of my troughs for me and I couldn’t resist another couple of plants for the garden so he put those in for me. I have one more spot in the garden that needs filling and then I must stop buying plants. I wouldn’t mind but I took a load of cuttings last summer and autumn so that I wouldn’t have to buy so much this year. I’m sure our garden is expanding :-)
We had tickets for a film at our little local theatre tonight but I decided my back wouldn’t stand a couple of hours sitting still in one of their seats. We were picking our tickets up at the box office so I rang them to say we wouldn’t be there. They emailed me a couple of hours ago to say that they had resold them so I will get my money back. That will help pay for all these plants I keep buying.
Have a peaceful night everyone.

Oh I forgot to send my post and so missed Jane popping in! I think the main thing Jane is that H knows you are there for her if and when she needs you. That will help her recover, as will having such a caring, supportive husband. I think the little break to get away will help them both too. What a nuisance the psoriasis has flared up on your scalp. It must be stress as you say, but the itchiness must be awful. I hope it starts to settle soon. Does the heat make it worse only I just had a vision of you with a bag of frozen peas on your head?? :-)
Yes, a few of us seem to be going away. I must admit I like May holidays with all the flowers and not too hot. It doesn't look such good weather for us though and that always makes it harder to know what to pack. :-S OH does his packing in half an hour, but as he always says, he is the only man on the beach dressed for the office!!!! lol.

Chicken crown tonight with carrots brocc baby sweetcorn and short beans and new pots. That should fill him up.

Evening All,
Another nice, even hotter day here. I was like wilted lettuce till it started to cool down.
That's good they have discharged your mum Gill. They must be pretty happy with her to do that and the angiogram will pinpoint anything with the stents I expect.
We stayed just up the Conway road at Beddgelert about 9 years ago AnnG. We did go on the train for a trip as it was just after OH had pneumonia and I didn't want him to do too much driving on that holiday. I expect prices have gone up a lot since then though. We like it there too and where we stayed the living quarters were all upstairs to enjoy the views. It's good your ankle is no worse and I also find those walking poles a boon, especially on uneven footpaths. At least your ankle hasn't stopped you getting around thank goodness.
I hope the baby fish are still all in your pond Mel, especially as they like to hide among anything floating like the flowers. I remember the Swallows building a nest last year and making lots of mess! You won't be wanting that again!
I saw the surgeon this morning and he is delighted with my progress. He asked me how I felt about continuing as I am for another 4 months, and then seeing me again, which was what I'd hoped he would say, as the lighter I am the better. I asked what the wait was once on his list and it is only 2 months so not that long. I would rather have the surgery in the winter anyway when there is nothing needing doing outside. So, after celebrating with a choc ice I am back to healthy meagre rations!! :-D OH was getting concerned about an unexpected roadworks hold up on the way back where we couldn't turn off anywhere, as he had a meeting at 1,30pm in the city, but when we got home, he got a phone call to say the meeting was cancelled!
I have done a load more washing and must go and water the pots and greenhouse now.

Afternoon Everyone I have just wizzed through some posts as I didnt take my lap top with me. I am sorry you have had that awful worry about your Mum Gill, but am glad to see she is home again now.
Ouch AnnG your ankle sounded painful. You have been good to be able to walk all that way on it.I bet the walking pole helped take the pressure off it a bit. Ankle injuries are a right b*****.
Hannah and i didnt do much but we did go up to the little Garden Centre at Ally Pally and had a mosey around there and had a bit of lunch .We then went right up the top and sat in the sunshine looking out over the London Skyline. Hannah looks so sad and tears flow a lot :-( It is just so hard to see her like this and other than a hug and a cuddle and an ear there is nothing else I can do to help her. Gareth is being such a rock even though he is grieving too.He just wants to comfort Hannah. Us and Gareths parents are paying for them to go away for the BH weekend .So they have booked a lovely quiet place in Suffolk.I think it is Woodbridge so Aldeburgh and Southwold are very near by .They love the coast. It is the least we can do for them.
Frank you will be off any day now. I can't remember how long you are going for.Is it 2 or 3 weeks? You will enjoy yourselves with all the nice sunshine and seeing Harveys dog and little pups :-D
I bet your case must be packed too now Ann :-DI know the weather doesnt look too clever for this weekend but hopefully it will pick up again for you.Fingers crossed your back will be ok sat in the car for that long journey. My sister and Larry are off to Spain tomorrow for a week and then us next Friday to Yorkshire. Everyone is on the move :-D
I am having a real problem with scalp psoriasis at the moment and it is driving me potty.I think it must be all the stress that has caused to to flare up :-S It is so difficult not to keep scratching at it. H&G are coming on Friday night. They have a Christening to go to at the weekend, which am sure is not going to be easy :-(. I have booked us all in for lunch on Saturday down at the Red Lion in Cranford . James will be here too as he said he wont go away to Jess this weekend as he hasnt seen H&G since 'it happened' and he he wants to see his Sister.More tears then I think. It will be the same too when Hannah sees her Dad :-(. Good job I have a plentiful supply of tissues!.
I am still not feeling too chatty if you know what I mean . It all feels a bit of an effort still, but I will try at least once a day to post :-)
I meant to say Frank, I am sorry your Sister is as she is. It must be pretty miserable for her and so hard for her Sons. I agree too with you and think it would be the best and kindest thing is she was just to pass away in her sleep. That is how I would like to go if I was in her situation. I see it will be your Anniversay when you are away. You have reminded me now to get a card for Chris as we shall be away for our Anniversary too.Ours is the 30th .You have a good few more years on us. I think we are 38years.
I know I have not commented on so many posts and am sorry. Please let me know if I have missed anything important. I would hate to think anyone things I am ignoring :-S
