So the foot has'nt put you off walking about then so thats good. Sounds a lovely place and don't you just love the new beech leaves on the trees with the sun shining through them. Really beautiful. We have a tree lined road near us and its always nice to drive through that. I have tried to take pictures of it in the past but the camera never captures the magical look of it.

Good afternoon, a beautiful day here sunshine and light cloud and, down on the coast a breeze which means it is a bit cooler than where we have been. We drove to Bedgealert through beautiful tree lined lanes that ran by a river. When we got there we parked and had a coffee then went on a two mile walk along a pretty river to where the Ffestiniog railway crossed the river and back. We got to the rail crossing just as the steam train came across. We had thought about going on this train but it is so expensive. Near the river is a grave that is of Prince Llewyn’s faithful dog. We next drove to a free NT car park and walked a short distance up to a viewpoint where there was the most wonderful and unusual seat carved in The shape of a dragon.
Foot still feels bruised and stiff but I have been using Volterol and that seems to have helped. I used my walking pole today as well and that helped too.

Hi all
Mum's coming out of hospital today so I'm just waiting for a call to go and pick her up. She has to go back as an out patient to have an angiogram, but for now the doctors are happy to let her go home. I can't tell you how relieved I am, it's been quite a stressful couple of days.
Hope all is going well for Hannah, sending hugs to her and Jane <3 <3
Jane didn't say when she was coming home Frank, she said she had an open train ticket so she could stay with Hannah for as long as she is needed.
Has your OH finished fishing all the leaves out yet Mel, hope he didn't catch any fish along the way, or fall in. We have our water feature on at the moment, we like to put it on when the sun is on it or the water will turn green and we'd have to empty it, there's a lot of water in it so it would take a while to do. So far switching it on is working and the water is still clear. OH is cutting the lawns while the weather is nice, it's suppose to be going colder again at the weekend.
It sounds like Colin's been busy painting the fences Mandy, they'll look lovely when they're finished.
I'll take a proper look at all the emails you sent today Mel, I've been so worried about mum when I did look at them nothing stuck in my head. Thanks you for all your help. I was wondering if there is no marriage maybe those ones passed away in infancy. I'll take a look and see what I can find. I'm hoping to have another go at his tree today while I wait for mum's discharge papers to be done.
Phones ringing, have to go

Good morning Mel, and all,
Banning that couldn't have been nice going down on your ankle. I hope it doesn't stop you getting out and about. xx
Heres hoping your Mum doesn't need any more treatment Gill. BUT I know these STENTS do a wonderful Job. Eos has been a different woman since she had her's done.
I have been trying toybook table for Fathers day for Harvey, Lewis and us two. I thing it would be easier to get to see the POPE. After going through everything on line, and expecting them to confirm the booking. It came up with" OPPS" theres a problem. So I rang them, everything is automated, you have to use your keypad to place the Number of dinners, the date and the time. Again there was a problem at their end, so I have given up.
Mandy I am sure if you come to work in a MINI SKIRT, you will get promotion to Private SECRETARY ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) I am most grateful for your help <3 <3
Who's got any plans for today ?? I have showered, shaved and dressed. Ros is taking me for a haircut before our holiday, and I must get an Anniversary card for the 3rd June. FOURTY ONE YEARS. without a cross word. (who am I kidding) but we both still say "I LOVE YOU"
Does anyone know when Jane is coming home.??I do hope that H is feeling a little better having her mum with her this week.. Bless them <3 <3 <3 and HUGS.
Another incredible day here. Wall to wall sunshine, with a little breeze. After we have done our choirs I will take Ros to lunch. One of the pubs we use have a 25% of food. So I printed the voucher. We also need to go to Towcester to look at a garden ornament that Ros thinks will be good for Simon's Birthday on 19th July He will be 54. Where have all those years gone. No wonder I an feeling OLD ;-) ;-) ;-)

I am off to bed soon so see you all inthe morning and hope you all have a good sleep tonight.
Night night.

Its good mum is being monitered all the time Gill and they should soon find out whats wrong. Perhaps she needs another stent. Oh has them, three I think or four.
I like the million bells plants Mandy as they go on and on flowering. The thing I don't like is having to take the million dead heads off. They are like petunias and are sticky and sticky fingers is something I can't stand. Mum was the same.
Today the wind has been blowing the flowers off the beech tree at the end of the back garden and they are all in my pond. Oh said we will get them out tomorrow. He said he will take the net off the top so we can get to them.
This morning we had a Swallow on the wire over oh's pond and I was wondering if its eyeing up his filter shed again. They had a look last year and the year before that we had the babies in there taken out of the nest if you remember me telling you about it.
I have a mac cheese for dinner tonight and oh has his usual curry. I don't like th eTika curry only my home made which I don't seem to do now he has it on a Tuesday. I have a nice chicken crown for tomorrow tucked up for the night in the fridge so nice and easy.
Took my script into Boots and I had to wait for a quarter of an hour as the girls were at lunch. I went up the high st and bought myself 4 more tops in the Factory Shop.
WROTE THIS AGES AGO AND DID'NT POSYT IT.

Apparently it is bees that are swarming while the scout bees are looking for another nest site. And also apparently they are not aggressive at all when swarming.

I hope all of you with sore backs, ankles or any other part of you feel better very soon.
Will write a longer post tomorrow if I can get my act together. Hope you all sleep well.

Ha ha Mandy, he'll be buttering you up now. ;-) ;-) OH will drop me at the hospital entrance and there are seats inside where I can wait for him which is good. Parking is never easy at these places though is it. There are so many varieties of clematis you can get now so it's nice to get a new one. You'll have to try putting something Max doesn't like the smell of around the stems. Oh it was a good job you noticed that swarm. I still shudder at those that stung me that time and still get twitchy if there's a wasp about. That's really good they do all those drills at the school. It stops any panic if the children know what to do. They must have moved fast to get out of the school that quickly! :-0
Gill you must be shattered now so an early night will do you good. At least they are sorting out your mum's heart problem and can do something about the stent if needs be.
Oh I missed your post AnnG, but what bad luck going over on your ankle. I hope a night's rest helps and that it is much better tomorrow. Sounds like you had another nice day otherwise.

Evening all,
Another nice day ,we've sat out in the sun , my back has been a bit twingy today so i gave it a rest ,tomorrow son is coming to help Colin with the panels ,he can make up his hours later in the week . He was saying they had the fire alarm practice ,all children out in three and a half minutes much better than last time it was six minutes . The next thing they will practice is having an intruder in the school ,god forbid that happens but they have to know what to do if it does and then after that another practice with a fire door being locked and the teachers won't know which door so they will have to get the children out another way .
Gill i hope Mum is feeling a little better today and it's nothing to serious ,as others have said she's in the best place .
Oh so i still have a job then Frank :-D Ann it must have been you mentioning the unfair dismissal that scared him into keeping me on ;-) ;-) :-D :-D Your poor sister ,no wonder you don't sleep that well it must play on your mind ,but so long as she's comfortable and not in any pain that's the main thing and if she went in her sleep isn't that the way we would all like to go .
Mel i'll look out for those sausages they sound just the sort we would like . I bought some Million Bells to go in the new hanging baskets we have on the Gazebo . I bought a Clematis the other day ,one called Marjorie so i put that in a pot with trellis behind ,how long it will last with Max about though remains to be seen little humbug if he can nip the stalks on plants he will.
Hope you get on ok tomorrow at the hospital Ann and the parking is not to bad . We seem to get a lot of flies and just a while ago i looked out and just over in the churchyard there was a swarm of some thing you should have seen them ,we wondered if they were some sort of bee they didn't look that big but i didn't like to go out to have a closer look ,they came ovr into the garden and then moved over to next door and i lost sight of them .
Oh dear AnnG sorry to hear you've had a tumble ,i hope the ankle /foot will feel better after a rest so you can still go on your walks ,your having some lovely weather for your walking .

Evening all
We've just got in it's been a long day today.
Mum is being monitored at the moment, they think she's had a mild heart attach and has had lots of test done since she's been there, she's having another test tomorrow to check if the stent she had put in is working properly, if it isn't then she is being transferred to a hospital in Liverpool to have the stent done again, so at the moment she's still in hospital and we've just got to wait and see what happens. I should know more tomorrow.
This afternoon was our old neighbour's 100th birthday so we went up there to see her, they were having a little party for her in the home she's at, it was lovely and she had received a lovely card off the Queen and one from our local MP They had a fella there playing the guitar and singing all the old songs and some 4 year old's from her great grandson's play group came and sang happy birthday to her, they had written happy 100th birthday on a big piece of paper and made hand prints on smaller pieces of paper and put them all around it which was put up on the wall. She had a lovely birthday and was happy to see us. One of the little boys was 4 years old today so we all sang happy birthday to him to, which he loved.....bless him.
I haven't caught up with the post properly yet, but thank you everyone for your get well wishes for mum. I'll try and catch up with them tomorrow as I think I'll be having another early night tonight.
I'm just going to have a cuppa and a sit down, I feel like I could sleep for a year.

I agree about the garden centres Frank, well the ones in the big groups anyway. I used to grow a lot from seed till my knees got too bad to be able to plant them all. OH doesn't mind weeding, or helping or watering but I think he prefers sitting in the garden to doing it and has never grown veg or plants like I used to.
I'd forgotten Clarissa wasn't a ride-on mower Mel. Are there names for any other mowers? I love your description of your OH walking like a gorilla! I've just planted what I bought and the greenhouse was like a furnace!!! I soon came out of there when the tomato was planted. I've cut some large circles out of some ripped compost bags. I thought they would do to fit round the tomato plants when we are away and would help stop the moisture evaporating. I used to use the supermarket plastic bags tucked in the pots but this idea should be better.
I had a call a while ago wanting OH to clerk a meeting at midday tomorrow, but after taking me to my hospital appointment in the morning, he already has 3 meetings in the afternoon and evening so that was a no. He suggested we eat somewhere before going to the hospital, but I told him 'no chance' as they will be weighing me! He's got 3 meetings today as well. Amazing how they all want him when I could do with him here to help get ready for going away. Still they will be on their summer hols soon and he can catch up with things then.
I love seeing the new calves in the field at the back. They look so happy after being shut in. Mind you, the flies arrive with them and I have been shooing the bluebottles out today.
I wonder if Gill has any news about her mum yet.

14 May After breakfast we walked to the end of Marine Drive to a little memorial garden on the cliff. So sad it commemorates a teacher and three boys lost at sea in 2006. Three other boys were saved. We sat in the sun for half an hour then went into Criccieth castle from where there are lovely views. Spent an hour and a half in there and in the exhibition which was all about take overs by various unpronounceable Welsh kings ending with Owen Glendower. Came out of the castle and found a rooftop cafe for coffee, this looked over the beach where there were suddenly close to 100 teenagers and their teachers.they were surveying parts of the beach. We later saw a double decker coach parked which strangely came from Cheltenham. We sat on a seat elevated above the promenade road to eat our bananas in the sun before walking up to find a cash machine. Unfortunately in a shady part my varifocal glasses let me down a bit and I missed a curb and sort of folded down on to the ground. Wasn’t at all hurt except I ricked my ankle or actually foot.which is never good at the best of times but which has been fine this week so far. It is quite painful and I have been limping around since. No swelling so hopefully just a strain. Called in to the Lion hotel and had cheesy chips and a glass of wine in the garden. Then walked (limped) back to our B&B for a rest.

Much against my bodies wishes, I have cleaned the front lounge window, both the kitchen windows and the patio doors. Not forgetting the porch window and front door.
Sorry Gill, I didn't mention your MUM earlier. I hope you find her well this morning, and she was able to come home. If she has to stay, she will be in the best place, they will keep an eye on her at regular intervals. <3 <3 <3 As they did with Ros. Who would believe that you can go shopping, and end up in hospital with a Heart attach.
Anne, these garden centres seem to see you coming, the way they put their prices up. SUPPLY AND DEMAND as they say. In my mind they are just RIP OFF ARTISTS :-| :-| :-| Ros fortunately, sets many packets of seeds, and pricks them out into small pots, to bring them on. She seems to keep Val, Martine and Pam in plants, as there are so many. We aught to have a stall outside the front, selling plants. I know she wouldn't do that, but many do.
Enjoyed your shopping this Mel, I hope you didn't forget anything. Ros has taken a very small list with her. I told her, DON't forget we are going away next Tuesday. I don't want to have to give a FRIDGE full of VEG away to the neighbours, like we usually do. !!! I know it's better than wasting it, but why buy it if we don't need it :-P :-P
AnninG, you have certainly picked the right week to go away, I do hope your weather is as nice as ours, and that you are enjoying the Welsh Countryside, xx
I had an Email from my friend in Australia, thanking me for my LIFE STORY. She thought, I must have spend ages putting that together, where in fact, it just rolled out of my brain (yes I have one) onto paper.
The sun is quite warm but that breeze has an edge to it, so no sitting on the patio.I have started another book this morning. What would I do without this tablet. It must have over 100 books to choose from. In fact I have now decided to start from the top left hand side, and work through them. If after a few pages, I don't like the read, I can go on to the next book.
I sent Conrad an Emil yesterday asking if there was anything he wanted us to bring to Spain. HIS REPLY WAS, JUST YOU AND YOUR CLOTHS, We have everything else.
I have been thinking of Jabe and Hannah, I go hope that H is feeling a bit better, and may be would enjoy a little walk out to that nice restaurant close to her for a bite to eat. Hugs to you both, if you are looking in Jane.
Chicken casserole for this evening, all made and sitting in the oven to go on later. Potatoes all done. This last lot Ros got from Morrison's, are very difficult to peel and hard to cut. I hope they cook alright.
Enjoy this beautiful weather, see you later. xxxx
