Afternoon all, HAIRCUT done, feel half a stone lighter. Ros was in Tesco while I waited in the hairdressers. There were four in front of me, so I had quite a long wait. When I got into Tesco Ros was coming down from the tills. We stopped and had a coffee, the first time I have stopped there. Nothing special but it was very hot, and took owe sometime to drink it.
We then went to get the car cleaned. Yesterday I thought I said it was £5.00 WRONG it was £6.00. But today it's gone up to £7.00. So inflation is catching up with car cleaning materials. lol lol. They did an excellent job, and there were at least 5 in front of us, and as many behind us. So they are earning their CORN.
Just made Ros a COT she is in the garden again finishing off one of the beds, clearing all the dead stuff. Under a bush where she's 'working is the Hedgehog's box. She opened the top and it's full of leaves and straw. So it looks like he had a nice warm hibernation. No sign of him now, so he must be out and about.
I have just ordered 20 coloured green lights from Ebay. They should be here next week. The ones in the garden are giving up, they have been in there for a couple of years, so I can't complain.
What another cracking day it is. Eos said her neck is getting the sun on it. I hope she doesn't get burnt.
I have had no trouble getting on here today Jane so it must be you or the area.
Stir fry tonight, that Ros. will do, so I can sit back and relax and do nothing for a change. !!!
It's my sisters 85th Birthday on the 4th March, so I had better get her card written and in the post. We can post it Thursday, when we go to the hospital for Ros's appointment.
Valerie next door has been sitting out in the sunshine. I am surprised how well she is looking, as Val Barker said she's in a poor old way.
I'm going to get my book and sit on the patio for a while, and get some sunshine. Be GOOD

good afternoon. I didn't get on this morning as I was feeling a bit off with a muzzy head and we wanted to go out so I was going slowly! (slower than usual that is). 5am this morning I woke up for the loo and turned over to get up. As I did the room went round and I was holding on to the bed. Managed to stabilize and get out to the loo but after that I was fine laying on my left side but as soon as I turned over onto my right everything spun round again. It was a horrible feeling. Once I got up I was ok just a bit 'delicate with the muzzy head. Still not quite right but ok if I don't make a sudden movement with my head to the right. OH had this once and he was fine in the day but it came back at night so I sort of dread going to bed tonight.
We did actually go out as it was such a lovely day. We drove to Evesham country park and had a gentle walk round the park and sat for a while looking out over the Vale of Evesham. There were a lot of beautiful blossom trees out as along the edge the park is quite wild and unspoilt with many plum and apple trees. We were not sure if the blossom was on fruit trees (On the way there a whole orchard was in blossom) or if it was Hawthorne. I ttok some photos so will see if I can check. There were also lots of trees smothered in catkins so I assume they are hazel.
We had lunch in the garden centre (2 course seniors lunch £9.95, then looked round the plants, OH bought three garden lights to match ones we already heave and I bought a packet of seeds (too early for other plants, having to remember it is still only February.
My next stop was the Crafters' Companion shop where I spent a few pennies. We didn't look round the other shops (it is an outlet centre) as I didn't want to push it too much. We got home just after 3pm so it was a pleasant day out.

Meant to say the other day thzat I went out to put something in the dustbin and turned the outside light on and when I turned around to come back in I saw a RABBIT come up the back garden from down Prickly Bottom walk straight up towards me as I watched and promptly went on the raod down towards me shed and then up the orchard. I hope I am not going to have rabbit trouble again like I did a couple of years ago.
Thomas where are you when you're needed down here!!????

Good morning Mel & Gill, and to all you other dear friends,
Great nights sleep last night. I was so tired I was in bed by 9.00 pm with my book. The Radio was rubbish music, so I was tucked down by 10.00 I think I got out in the night once, and was awake around 6.30 am.
Peter the Plumber rang to say he would come round, which he did. The water pressure was low, so he sorted that out, and started the boiler again. Within 20 minutes we had hot water and C.H. He didn't even charge us for coming out. What a nice guy to have just round the corner. s you know he serviced it last month, so I expect that's why he didn't charge me.
HAIR CUT today. I am showered and dressed, Ros is still in her night dress playing games on her tablet. I will have to GEE her up to get ready. I don't want to be out all day, fuffing around. lol lol
Good GIRL Gill, Try and relax and enjoy your day. Glad you had a good nights sleep, and feeling a bit better this morning.
How were the panels Mel, all dry ?? I don't expect it will take oh long build your HEN HOUSE knowing how quick he works.
Harvey rang last night, and who do you think spoke to us FIRST. ?? LEWIS the little B. He puts on an Indian accent, and asks what you would like to eat tonight. I made a nice change to hear from him. He is well, and still enjoying University, and his weekend job at Valerie Patisserie (SP) The one he works at in Milton Keynes is the best productive one in the Company, so even though they are closing a lot of their outlets, HIS IS SAFE.
Ros is now in the shower, so there is movement. We should be on our way before midday with any luck.
I trust Mandy, Annx, AnnG and Jane are well, I will no doubt catch up with you all later. xxx

Morning All,
Glad you are feeling better Gill and we have sunshine here as well so it looks like being another nice day. Good idea to try and ignore next door for now and it does sound as if the outside work is about done. What colour are the cushions you are doing for your mum?
I had a scratchy throat yesterday and now I have a streaming cold and headache! It's a nuisance as I need to go and look for some navy trousers today. Still, I can put up with a cold as long as it doesn't develop into something worse. A woman came and sat near us on Saturday and was coughing and sneezing without covering her mouth so I might have picked it up then.
I hope the wood is dry enough for your OH to get on with the chicken house today Mel. Are you gardening today? I need to start pruning and tidying, but need to go through the biggest wardrobe first to finish that room off.
I hope Frank had a better night and has his hot water back now.

Missed your post there Mel, yes I feel much better today after a good nights sleep. I hope the boards are dry enough for your OH to carry on with his work. I'd love to see a picture when it's all finished please. It sounds like you have the nice weather like us, I think it's been very warm for this time of year. I hope I haven't spoken to soon and it snows like it did this time last year. Some of my bulbs are starting to come into flower now, so it's starting to look really nice, both in the back and front gardens.

Morning all
Another sunny day today and it's warmer to, I've just had a cuppa outside and it was lovely, a Robin came and had his breakfast so that was nice to watch. Even though there are some workmen next door they are so quiet now it felt almost normal again. OH spoke with the neighbour this morning and mentioned that the fence is solid and it would be difficult to add a new piece of wood with our screening and he seems okay with that, so at least that is out of the way now. I think today is going to be another good day :-)
I had a good nights sleep last night so I feel more refreshed now and think I'll have another go at the cushion covers for mum. Unfortunately my knee is sore again with knocking it yesterday and my ankle is still to sore to use the sewing machine so it'll be another one made by hand. Sandra wants to watch some films I've recorded so I'll sit and sew while they are on. OH has gone to see his mate so he won't need to sit through chick flicks, he's not to keen on those. I do record thrillers which he doesn't mind watching with us, so it's not all girly films.
I hope you managed to sort out your hot water and heating Frank and everything's back to normal now. Has Barry cut your lawns yet or is it still to wet? OH has cut ours twice so far this year. We've noticed since the new extension has gone up next door our garden isn't as water logged as it used to be, so we're happy bunnies now :-) :-)
Did anyone watch Long Lost Family last night, it was really interesting, they used DNA to find parents and other family members for babies that had been abandoned, unfortunately a few of the mother's had passed away which was quite upsetting to watch, but they had found both the mother and father for another person, they seem to leave that one up in the air a bit as the parents didn't want to meet him, but with a bit of luck they'll change their minds and he'll meet them in the end. It was such a good programme, the way they did it was fascinating and well worth watching.

I decided to ignore the workmen today and I've had the best day ever, apart from the headache of course, which a few drinks of tea soon sorted out. I haven't felt so relaxed in ages. I caught up with all my programmes in peace as OH was out and Sandra was watching her programme in the other room. I put the heating on as it was colder here today and was so relaxed I almost felt asleep on the sofa.
I'm going to take all your advice and try to ignore what's going on next door, OH is in and out most days so will see if anything is a miss, so will be able to sort it out if necessary.
I think you're right Frank and I should wait and see what the new neighbour is like, for all I know he may of just mentioned the wood thinking it was a nice thing to do to let us know as we can't see it from our side. The workmen were so quiet today I didn't even notice they were there until I saw the side window open, so that was nice for a change. Apart from the drive all the work that's left to do is in doors now. Have you got your hot water back on now?
I'm just watching long lost family, born without trace, it's very interesting. I'm getting tired now with not having much sleep last night, so I will be off to bed shortly.

Where is our Jane. I bet she's reading up about this new cooker. Mum had a Zanussi when she moved down here in the bungalow before this one. She left it there and bought another cooker for here but not a Zanussi. Her one had a rotisery in it too. That bungalow was a new build so she had the kitchen she wanted put in that one and then about a year later they found this place.
Oh went up to the big arch where I could see the lorry this morning and they unloaded the stuff up there then oh brings down what he wants in small batches with the mower and small trailer. He was charging the battery for the big mower that pulls the big trailer and did'nt have time to put the battery on so thats why they did it this way. It was our normal delivery driver so he knows he can't get his lorry through the big arch.
That was nice Ann getting £100 present this morning and G buying your sisters flowers.
I have made a chicken and brocc plaite. The chicken and brocc is in a nice thick cheese sauce, with new pots and tenderstream tips.

I do hope your plumber can get your boiler fixed tonight Frank.

Afternoon All,
Another glorious sunny day, but it turns quite nippy by teatime. We had a frost first thing too and it was on some of the Camelia flower buds now they are quite tall, so they may be spoiled.
I think it may be worry and stress that has made your tummy upset Gill and it is likely the headache is due to dehydration as you say. I hope drinking more has helped, it's what I do with headaches before considering painkillers.
I suppose with the fence it depends whether you have put your fence up on the boundary line and whose boundary it is? If it's your boundary there's no problem, and if they want a different fence they are within their rights to put one on their land behind your fence in that case. If it's their boundary and they want a new fence, they can ask you to remove your fence so they could put theirs on their boundary. It would be up to you then whether you reinstate your fence, but on your land. Did you ever get your deeds from the building society as they show which are your boundaries?
I had a slightly different thing at my last house, but it shows what can happen. Our footpath down one side of the bungalow was a foot lower than the next door neighbour's driveway butting up to it, as the properties were built on a slope. We had a tall wooden gate each end of the footpath and it was our boundary but there was no fence between us along the edge of the footpath and neighbour's driveway. This suited our then neighbour as he could swing his car door wide open that side without any fence being in the way and it suited us as we had a wide footpath the other side of our bungalow and never used the path that side of the bungalow anyway. Years rolled on and the old neighbour sold his house to a couple with a 3 year old. Understandably, they were concerned he would take a nosedive off the edge of their drive onto our path and hurt himself and offered to put a simple fence there on the boundary line, paying for it themselves. I agreed, but pointed out that if I moved, a new owner would assume a fence on my boundary was his and may wish to replace it. I told him to keep the bills for the fence he was putting up so that he could at least prove it was his to take down if he wanted to re-use it elsewhere.
We got the flowers ordered this morning and OH kindly offered to pay for them, which I didn't expect. We then drove on to find the the cemetery and it was a good job we did, as there were notices up on part of the route we were going, to say the road would be closed for one day on the day of the funeral!! OH has now planned to go a different way. The cemetery is in a beautiful setting, all among mature trees in the middle of countryside and very peaceful. We then carried on to a Planters Garden Centre OH had spotted and had jacket potatoes and then went to Repton, which OH had been to a match at and said it was quite old and nearly all school buildings! OH said Jeremy Clarkson was expelled from the school!
Frank I think a visit to the doc would be a good idea as it may be your medication causing these bad nights. It's a wonder poor Ros manages to sleep with not knowing what to expect!!! :-0 :-0
I got a nice £100 cheque as cashback for my camera I had for Christmas today. It was a palaver to do the claim for it and I expected it not to work or I had the wrong model camera or something, so it was a nice surprise!! I never told OH at the time, in case the claim didn't work, so he was surprised when I said I owed him £100, but he insisted I kept it as I'd done the work claiming it! :-)

Afternoon everyone.
Pleased you have all the timber down for OH to get started. Couldn't have picked a better day. The sun is very warm.
I have just made Ros a COT and then took it down the garden to her. I have walked round to Peter the Plumbers house, and put a note through his door to ask if he can pop round this evening, and try to sort the hot water and Central Heating. You feel totally lost when you can't just turn on the tap, and get HOT WATER.
Gill, You must stop worrying about your new neighbour. They might be perfectly alright, and be good neighbours. I wouldn't let a little bit of wood make up your mind about them. If push comes to shove, you can always ignore them. !!! or as you and OH had often thought of doing, MOVE AWAY. Only JOKING. lol lol.
I still feel a total wreck, I have the shakes, and am not very steady on my feet. I have cut the cold beef and put it in the gravy and covered it in TIN FOIL. and peeled some potato's. I was about to get the veg out of the fridge, when I stumbled, so came back in the lounge to rest. I will do the veg a bit at a time during the afternoon.
I am reading another book from Amazon. They have one hell of a selection of books from only £1.00 each. Better than buying the book, and having to store it. and pass it on to a charity shop. How times have changed.
I hope your cooker has arrived Jane, then you can start burning things in it, until you get use to it. lol lol
Have a good afternoon everyone. xxxx

Frosty first thing here but no fog thank goodness and a beautiful sunny day. OH was at golf all morning and is now exhausted of course. I do wish he would admit his age and go to playing nine holes.
Frank You are having a bad time lately (as is Ros!). Have any of your medication got morphine in them? The reason I ask is a friend was given morphine for pain in hospital and was intolerant to them. He had terrible hallucinations. And it happened again (in hospital another time) when they ignored his notes.
Gill sorry you have been poorly and that your ankle is still hurting. Are you sure the ankle is not more than a sprain? Have you had it checked at the surgery, It seems obvious that the work next door is causing you problems and, as you said it is possible your upset stomach is a result of you getting worked up. You will know if it is a bug if your OH or Sandra get it. I hope they don't though.
Mel, pity they dumped the wood without asking but it seems your OH has got it to where he is using i.t

My ankle is still sore Mel, I can walk on it but I think pressing on a pedal of a sewing machine might irritate it. I don't mind doing things by hand, I put a film on and sew at the same time. It's only a few straight lines and zips so doesn't require a lot of concentration. Yes, I think it is the worry of next door's work, but each day is a day closer to it being finished and this time next year it'll be a distant memory. I just worry about the damage that's being done and keep wondering what's next to be broken. I know I shouldn't, but the boss is such an arrogant boy he doesn't care and just says I'm not paying for the new fence so it's nothing to do with me, forgetting that it's not the new neighbours fence to take down. He won't be told either, so anything's possible with him.
It sounds like your OH is getting on well with his work, have you got the sun like us, it's always better to do outside jobs in good weather. He's very handy isn't he? I'd keep him if I was you LOL :-D :-D
With being so sick for the past 24 hours, I've now got a headache, so I'll have to drink plenty as it's probably a bit of dehydration. The bath helped, but silly me took the skin off the graze I've got on my knee, when I dried my leg. I must be more careful next time. I don't know, I'm not safe to be left alone am I? LOL ;-)
Still no error page so hopefully Genes have sorted the problem, it's much better now and doesn't take forever to do anything anymore. Let's hope it stays that way.
Going to get a cuppa now, then dry my hair.

yes Frank you've had a lot of worry lately with Ros and your Sister not knowing whats going on could be playing on your mind.
Oh has cut out the roof and the base and is now painting them both with a black bitumen paint to waterproof them before he starts on anything else. He took the small trailer up and brought those boards down and it a lovely warm day so they should dry.
There will be a lot of thinking going on as to hows the best way to make it up as I know from experience from him making my shed and his filter shed but I know he will get there in the end.
Gill this sickly feeling could just be worry on your part. Try not to think about it too much and hows your ankle now? You may be able to use the machine for the cusion covers if it feels better now. It would be so much quicker than hand stitching.
Must get more washing in the machine.

Morning all
Just woke up after a bad night, I didn't go to sleep until almost 4am, still feeling a little sick but haven't been sick for a few hours, so hopefully that's the end of it. I'm running a bath to see if that helps. I'm now starting to think it's not a bug but the upset of next door. I really will be glad when it's all over, but have a feeling the new neighbour is going to be one of those who complains about everything with him mentioning the rotten bit of wood yesterday. I hope not as I've got enough with Mr Grumpy on the other side.
The workmen have just turned up, only one van so far so we think it's the kitchen fitters as the neighbour said the kitchen should of gone in last Friday.
Pleased to see James didn't cut himself when he broke the glass Jane. So he's giving it a few more months with Jess, I hope if they do decide to split up they remain friends. What time is your new cooker arriving, I bet you can't wait? I'm making 6 cushions for my mum, so far I've completed one, I don't feel like doing it at the moment with feeling a bit sick, I don't think concentrating on small stitches would do me any good until I start feeling more human.
Did your OH get the raspberries and clemitis in okay yesterday AnnG? We've got lovely sun again today although it's not as warm as it has been. The water feature is on and the sun is shinning on it, it looks lovely and sounds even better. I gave up with the error page in the end, I couldn't read any of the posts because I couldn't go back a page, but I know when I post it goes through even if it says error. It seems okay this morning but how long that'll last is anyone's guess.
It sounds like you had a lovely day out yesterday Ann, the church sounds lovely.
Yes, I've been watching the sewing Bee Mandy, Sandra and I love that programme. I record and keep them so we can watch them again. I think it's going to be a good series. I noticed Gardeners World starts again 8th March, if anyone's interested and the F1 starts again on the 16th March, so plenty to look forward to.
How is your OH getting on with the chicken house Mel? It sounds like a big job, will it take him long to do?
Sorry to hear you've had another bad night Frank, I think seeing the doctor is a good idea, you can't keep going on like this. Do you have something on your mind, that might explain why you're having these bad nights? Hope the doctor can help.
