Did you have a lovely meal Mandy? What did you have? Did you have LOTS of candles on your cake ;-) ;-)

Glad you are feeling a little better today Gill ,hopefully tomorrow will be an even better day.

You will be pleased all your results were good AnnG.I must be due a blood test soon(to do with the tablets I take for Psoriasis ). I am supposed to have bloods done every 3 months.
Anne how is your Brother? How is he coping with having to give up the job he loved doing ?

Just about to dish dinner .

So sorry to hear about your sister Ann, as she was younger than you she was of no age to die like that.no wonder you are in shock

Not surprising your OH is worn out with all the chasing around to get his prescription and so worrying when none of the chemists had it in stock, you would have thought the hospital was aware there was a distribution problem.

Good news about your blood test AnnG it's so reassuring to hear that all is ok.

Gosh Ann did your sister live alone? What a terrible thing to have happened.

Why could'nt the hospital have given oh his prescription? Would have saved all that running around and his getting stressed out about it. Have a nice relaxing evening if you can. I am so sorry to hear about your sister even if you were'nt that close she was still your family. I hope you can get a good nights sleep tonight. Sending love.

Ann, I have just seen your post. Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear about your Sister. What a dreadful shock. Even though your were not terribly close it will no doubt have knocked you sideways. Please accept my condolences <3. I wonder if it was Sepsis? Today has been one heck of a day for you both what with that sad news and then the craziness and run around of trying to get OH's Eye Drops.

Yes Frank do ask tomorrow if you can be given
Omeprozole. It will do the job better than your Gaviscon.

<3 <3 :-D HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANDY :-D <3 <3 It sounded like you had a nice day planned and I hope you had a nice meal.

Well what a day we have had. This morning we went to Boots to get OH's prescription and he was told they hadn't got the medication he needed. Then we tried the pharmacy at Asda and they hadn't got it either but suggested we try Patel's Chemists near the city. Off we went there and paid parking but still no medication! Off we went back to the hospital again and OH said eye casualty was packed to the gills with no seats left and about 20 people standing and waiting. He eventually got to see a doctor who gave him a different prescription. Off we went again and tried Boots and Asda, then Lloyds and Lloyds told OH that the doctor had put the same medication down again but just with a different generic name. They said a small village pharmacy might have some, so we tried in the village and were told there that there was a manufacturing problem with the medication and we wouldn't be able to get it anywhere!! We'd been out trying to get some since before 8.00am and it was gone 1.00pm by then so we went home to grab a snack and to collect my car so I could drop OH back at the hospital to save a second lot of parking charges. Poor OH was at his wit's end by this point, as his eye condition is considered a medical emergency, and 30 hours since the hospital had seen him he still hadn't got any medication. I dropped him off again and waited at Morrisons which is nearby. After a long wait at last they were able to prescribe something else but seemed oblivious to the fact there is a manufacturing problem with what they had prescribed before. OH also insisted they give him a white prescription this time so he could go to the hospital pharmacy. He's absolutely shattered with all the worry and racing about and walking and waiting. He said we are turning into a 3rd world country and if this is what it is like before Brexit!!!

Before all this I had a phone call first thing this morning with some shocking news I still can't quite take in. My sister didn't wake up this morning. It seems she was at home and not on antibiotics in hospital anymore. We were so unalike and not close but it is still very sad as she was 9 years younger than me and I remember feeding her and changing her nappies when she was a baby. I expect we will get to know more once they know what happened.

As the pork joint was so big (for 2 of us) we have cold pork and oven chips tonight. The pork was lovely and tender so will be nice cold. And I think there will be enough over either for sandwiches or curry. I remember when it was wrong to re-heat pork but looking on the internet apparently it is ok now. I think I read somewhere it is because of the way they are fed.

Hope you are not going to be overun with rabbits Mel, deer are lovely but you forfeit your garden if you have them.

All good news then AnninG. My budlia needs cutting down too and so does evrything else up the border but with the deer coming in the garden I have lost heart a bit with the border cos they eat everything.

I spied a BIG bunny out in the back field when I changed the solar lights round this afternoon. I do hope I am not going to have that trouble again.

Done the big bathroom instead of the little loo and have helped oh a couple of times and I have done some ironing. Oh is in now as the suns gone round and he was feeling chilly so he came in and I turned the heating on.

The next job is to corn the chickens and then fill both our pill trays up.

I have a peice of gammon for dinner and must put that on too. A nice big cauli for cauli cheese to go with it.

Afternoon all. Frank if you have not always suffered with indigestion the medication you have could also be cause the indigestion.

It has been a glorious sunny day here and OH has pruned our buddleias right back. As we usually do in February.Walking round the garden this afternoon it was quite warm in the sun.

I had a doctor's appointment to discuss the results of my recent blood test and was pleased to hear that everything was fine and blood sugar had actually gone down but was still just about borderline. The ECG I had at the same time was also fine and, despite the palpitations I have had he said my heart is healthy. So that is all good then and the low sugar diet I am following is working. :-D

Just been down the garden, I can see we will need BARRY over soon. Everywhere is starting to bud up, and Daffs won't be long before they are open. Snow Drops are everywhere and look a real treat.

Ros got me a Crab Sarnie for lunch about 2 hours ago. The indigestion is just about crippling me. I have taken indigestion tablets, but not seen to be moving it. So I can't see me wanting any dinner tonight. She has made a Chicken casserole with mash and veg.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOUNG LADY" Enjoy your lunch out with the family. xxxx

Well northing has changed this end. Still NOT EATING, Fighting with the bedding an pillows, Was in bed by 9,00 last night. No sleep, when Ros came in she had to remake the bed. Finally I gave up and got up at 2.00 am. Read my book and returned to bed by 3.30. Slept well till 5.15, then laid quietly while Ros slept. I got up at 8.30 for COT

Have rung the Dr. ands rang back an hour ago. She has made an appointment for me to see her at 10.00 am tomorrow. Then I will see the nurse for my dressing, and if necessary I will get a blood test.

Ros is coping with my swing moods. This morning I showered and shaved and she helped dry me off and get my clean cloths out.

Simon rang me back this morning. He took his Labrador to the vets this morning for tests on this CANCER. The vet will ring him with some answers later today. He will then have to make the BIG DECISION regarding his dogs future. How I do feel for him, as I had the same years ago with my LAB.

Bright sunny day here, I should try to get out, but don't feel that good on my PINS. So I will see how I am tomorrow, I might walk to the Doctors.

See you all later.

Good afternoon all. Happy Birthday Mandy, hope you have a lovely day.

Gill pleased that you are feeling a bit better, hopefully you won't overdo things and set yourself back.

Mel, Camelias are lovely my parents had a gorgeous one in their front garden. It is one thing we have not tried to grow here, I don't actually think we have the space.
Not a lot planned today, we went for the paper and called in for a coffee to the community hub. They are having difficulty with funding so are cutting back on cooking breakfasts and not opening Saturday mornings (they never opened Saturday afternoons. Shame but understandable as they only have a couple of chef trained staff.

I have a Dr's appointment to get results of a recent blood test otherwise nothing else planned.

<3 <3 <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANDY <3 <3 <3
Hope you have a lovely day, do you have anything nice planned?

Bright and sunny here so the washing is pegged out and should dry nicely.

Still feeling a bit under the weather, but slightly better than yesterday.

You've got the same weather as me Mel. By the sounds of it you should have a good display on your Camellia when it flowers.

Nothing much planned for today, just some washing, I don't want to over do things with not feeling 100%. I had a word with the boss next door and he said the rendering is starting tomorrow and the roof is being finished then to. I wanted to peg my washing out and I'd heard the rendering is being sprayed on, so I wanted to check it wasn't being done today incase any of the spray blew over onto my washing. His labourer isn't very well so he's had to do some work himself, he was sweating all over the place, clearly he's not used to hard work lol.

Morning all,

We have sunshine this morning blue skies with like long ribbons of white cloud like folds in material and see through.

Nothing to report from yesterday and I hope we hear from our Frank today and hope he's been behaving himself.

The Camelia down the garden has buds that are showing colour so things are stiring in the garden.

Jane a Fat Quarter is a piece of material that measures 28" X 22" of a yard of material 44" wide. I think thats right but someone will put me right if I am wrong.

I made 18 sausage rolls and 10 sultana scones this afternoon. Guess whats for tea but neither of us are hungry yet as we had a coffee and scone a little wile ago. He'll come out and eat a scotch egg later and a sauage roll and I will eat one when and if I want one.
