The fog hasn't cleared here all day ,it looks nasty out there now glad i'm in the warm .
That's about how much snow we had the other night Mel ,it does look lovely.
Not sure if we should get to much snow tonight or tomorrow ,when i saw the weather at lunch time it looked like it might fizzle out before it gets to us .

I use to have the under wired Bra's too but stopped for the same reason ,i got fed up with looking down and seeing the wire poking up, they do dig in under your arms ,i got a really sore spot under my arms .

Crumbs Mel that snow is really settled. Is is big flakes? You can't tell from the pics. I bet it will be quite deep soon if it carries on like that.
Frank, I think we have a Yellow warning for ice as well as snow. Ros better take care if she is driving herself to Choir. I am hoping that James will be able to get away from work at a decent time. He did take Chris's car today.
Janice will be on Tenterhooks tonight with wondering how much snow they will get. It does look like the Cotswolds will get a fair bit. She wil be desperate not to miss getting Rachel to London for her Birthday treat.I don't know if her train is in the morning or afternoon tomorrow.

When I looked out of the front bedroom window this morning all the horses were having a good roll .They looked so funny .Normally you just see one at a time rolling. Then they all stood up had a good shake and then had a gallop across the field :-D. It was a wonderful sight.

Frank do you get the daily Amazon Book deals for your Kindle like I do each day? I reckon this is why we were reading the same :-D. I think for 99p they are great value. It is so temping though to download so many.I must have a whole load now waiting to be read :-D. Almost all Crime or Pychological thrillers. I am reading one now called YOU LET ME IN. Did you get that one?

I am going to keep Thomas in now for the night. He probably won't be impressed but if I let him go and he isnt in when I go to bed I will worry if there is going to be a lot of snow.I know he can get in the summerhouse through the catflap but it might freeze shut. Chris says I m daft. I know that LOL he doesn't need to remind me :-D

Chicken Curry sounds good tonight Frank.

Mel I have just seen the snow in Cornwall !!!!!! It looks pretty bad.

Frank

Frank Report 31 Jan 2019 17:17

MY BRA'S FIT ME JUST RIGHT. LOL LOL.

Ros is doing a chicken curry tonight, so nothing for me to do, but rest. She is at Choir practice at 7.00 pm. It's still clear here, so she should be safe to go. If the snow starts before it's time to leave, I won't let her go.

Looks very dark and cold out there, so I am in the best place.

Looks like you have the HIC-CUPS Jane. Everything is repeating on you. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Don't get snowed in folks, please take care. xxx

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 31 Jan 2019 17:06

I see Jane is repeating herself again.

Its been snowing here since I last posted about having sleet and its settleing.

You know girls you can now get a half wired bra. I bought one a couple of months ago but they did'nt have the size I needed in stock so I bought the size smaller and they have been ok. No poking through on that one so I think I shall have to order a couple from M & Co where I bought that one. I too have trouble with the full wires sticking under my arm but the half one was ok. If I remember I will tell you the make of it.

Afternoon All

Wired Bras are a nightmare for me. I never have them now. They always dug in under my arms . It think having a short body might have something to do with it :-S. I remember being somewhere and having ot pull out the wires as it was so painful.

Frank do you have a slow cooker? You could make some lovely meals that would be far less work than doing all those Roasts. You really don't want to overdo things just yet and cause any trouble .Remember it is only a couple of weeks ago you had punctured lungs and broken ribs !!!!.You can't be Super Man just yet :-D :-D

That was a huge icicle on your car Mel !!!. If you now have sleet maybe that snow is on the way.Have you got the girls all done and tucked up for the night?

Bridge Rolls. I too used to love them with Egg and Cress mixed with Salad Cream. I quite fancy one now.The bread was always so nice and soft.

I was trying to get Chicken Breasts with skin on this morning .I had to go to a Butchers Shop in the end to get some. He chopped 2 chickens took the Breasts off and took the bones out. I shall go there again the next time I want skin on .We don't actually eat the skin but for some recipes the skin just helps keep the chicken moist and a nice crispy skin looks better too :-D

The sky is very grey and heavy looking now.I wonder what we might have on the way!

Mel I forgot to say I had a titter (sorry, it just came out!) about your wired bra!! lol :-D I've had a lot of the same trouble with them in the past and countless times I've had to push them back and try stitching across the ends of the wires, only for it to happen again. I find the wires come out whatever the make and had to give up with them years ago. I still get tempted to try them again at times though as they do hold everything in place well. I love things like your pot of soup with everything in. It's lovely and tasty and uses up odd bits of things you have too that might be wasted otherwise.

Those were strange dreams you had Jane. It makes you wonder where they come from. The last dream I remember was a few weeks ago and I woke up thinking my
mouth was crammed full of 5p pieces I was desperately trying not to swallow. :-S

Bridge rolls were nice and soft weren't they and the fillings always seemed to be salmon paste or egg and cress. They seemed to go with the sticks stuck in half a potato covered with tinfoil with cheese and pineapple cubes. I could just eat both now!

Frank it sounds like Ros is right with you being in such pain again. It's frustrating but you don't want to undo the healing. Maybe there are some easier things you could cook for a while, with less bending and stretching, or just sit and prepare the veg to help Ros. I had to laugh at Tony hanging washing out in this frost........you'd think at his age he would know better!

Mandy I wonder if your fog has lifted yet. You obviously got a good frost your way too. The webs do stand out don't they, but I wonder what the spiders make of the frost on their webs. Crikey, you don't have a lot of time to get Lacey's outfit ready.

Better get on with my sorting out again now.

Yer egg and cress. I liked that on them. Another thing we used to have at a party was Cheeslets spread with primular cheese with a manderine segment on top of the cheese. They were nice too.

Mel it's next Friday .

No you don't hear people ask for bridge rolls any more they were all the thing when you had a party ,split them open and spread each part with meat paste or egg and cress .

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 31 Jan 2019 13:18

I have just remembered what I thought about the other day. You don't see Bridge Rolls now. We always had those at a party when I was little usually spread with salmon paste.

Mandy when is this evacuee day please?

I have made a HUGE pot of soup and its got the lot in it today. Nice salt and pepper rolls which are going in the oven soon.

Afternoon all,

Very foggy here today and really white every where ,all the tree's look so pretty and the cob webs too.
Sun's trying to break through but the fog needs to lift .

Mel it's really good of you to try to find the collar but don't worry if you can't find it I can soon make one .

I'm pleased we all had a good night sleep last night. It makes you ready to go the next day.

We are forcast heavy snow soon.

Frank

Frank Report 31 Jan 2019 11:30

Morning all,

I also slept like a log last night. Once I got settled down and didn't wake until 7.50. A record for me ;-) ;-)

Dinner was fine last night. BUT Ros feels it's far too soon for me to be doing it. I was totally shattered last night. This morning I tried to turn over and pulled my back (RIBS) It's a wonder the police didn't arrive, with the SCREAM I gave out. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Like all of you we have had a very hard frost. Everywhere is white, but what has SILLY TONY DONE. Hung out a line of washing. He will be able to STAND IT UP in the corner when he brings it in.

Ros is waiting to cover up my dressing with CLING FILM so I can get a shower. So see you later.
