No call from the plumber, so I will try to find a local one tomorrow, who can come and sort it out. No hot water or Central heating at the moment. Might just need the boiler to be restarted. I can't and won't get up in the loft to see. PROMISE.
Had a small meal tonight roast beef and trimmings, Ros not impressed with what I ate.
Will soon be in bed, as I feel tired and in a bit of pain with my ribs.

Mel I remember weaving baskets with those paper strips and little wooden sticks :-D I think the biggest one I did was a waste paper basket.I really enjoyed doing that.I think you started off with the base and then put the sticks in all the holes ,then start weaving :-D

Evening All
We all had a lovely weekend ,the Christmas Dinner was a success although I thought the Turkey was a tad dry. We pulled our crackers and wore our hats. Gareth kept his on for ages. Chris was still rather quiet and not really joining in with everything and was i nbed by 7.30 on Sat. But at least he made the dinner :-D. He is yawning now so I can see him eating very soon and then disappearing up the stairs.
Frank I hope all goes well for Ros Tomorrow. At least it will be done at last. You just be a good boy and dont get into any trouble when you are on your own :-D :-D
Gill, you were so lucky to see the whole Moon thing. No such luck here. It was far too cloudy .It is a pity Sandra didnt witness this spectacular moment .She would have been amazed.
Mel your new girls look lovely and in really good condition . I hope the eggs don't dry up .But if they do then fingers crossed it wont be too long before they start laying again. I am not sure what that little Puppy is with Philip Shcofield . It could be a Cocker Poo but it is so young its a bit difficult to tell. Whatever it is it is a real cutie :-D :-D
How did it go today Ann with your Knee Assessment?
I know I must have missed lots of posts over the last coupe of days so am sorry if I haven't commented on all.
Thomas was out ALL night last night. It must have been to do with that moon :-D. I did wake up at 1.20 am and me being stupid got up and went out to see if he was waiting to come in.I think James let him in this morning .
Quick curry tonight . Nothing fancy.

Good luck to Ros for tomorrow Frank, that's an early time, does it take long to do? I'm sure you'll be okay on your own if you take it easy and it's nice to know you have Pam next door if you need anything. I love the little puppy on the advert to. Did you see him with the kitten not so long back, that was cute as well? Hope you get your hot water back soon. Could it be the water to water heat exchanger, you might need a new one? Do you know anyone who could take a look at it for you?
What a shame you couldn't see the moon with all the cloud Mandy. I sometimes think the sun looks like the moon when the fog or light clouds are around, it does look strange doesn't it.
I've recorded a film Sandra wants to watch so I'd better go and press play, we've had it on pause for 5 minutes.

Afternoon all
Not long woken up after staying up all night, so I haven't caught up with the posts yet.
We were watching the SUPER WOLF BLOOD MOON AND THE LUNAR ECLIPSE.
OH and I watched the whole thing from start to finish. It was AMAZING, the only time we couldn't see it properly, as the cloud was a bit to thick, was just before totality but after about 20 minutes the clouds moved away to reveal a dark red moon. We watched it until it went down when the moon was very big and bright yellow, the same as when it was rising and slowly moved down out of view. At the same time the sun was coming up and the birds were singing the dawn chorus.
What a beautiful ending to a wonderful, magical night and something OH and I will never forget. <3 <3 <3

LOL Mel, I think Tony next door would play any wind instrument, HE'S FULL OF WIND.
Just had a call from the Drs. She is going to leave out some stuff to stimulate my bowel movements, and some suppositories (SO STAND BY) lol. Eos can pick them up tea time today.
Ros is out collecting Lewis from Luton Airport. Harvey says he has a touch of food poisoning, and is staying in bed, so I expect Ros will get him and Lewis some lunch before coming home.
I thought the little puppy was a cocker spaniel cross. If I had it, I wouldn't want it to grow up. ;-) ;-) ;-)
I expect I will get an "ear full" when Ros gets home. I have put out the Blue Bin and waste food container. Adam the post told me to get back in doors, I should have texted him and he would have down it as he walk passed. Easier said than done, I CAN'T TEXT.
Lewis has just landed and is looking out for Ros. I told him to ring her mobile and she will drive round to pick him up. She is parked up close by, and will only take a few minutes to get to him.
For some reason the Central heating is working perfectly but we don't seem to be getting hot water. I hope we haven't got a problem.
I think I will warm up a tim of soup for lunch, then watch a bit of NAT. GEO.

Good morning Mandy, Mel. and all.
Ros has just had a call from the hospital, to say they have a free appointment for her to have "ANGIO PLASMA" carried out tomorrow at 7.45 am. Carolyn will take her and bring her home again. She is going be there most of the day. Ros will have to ring Carolyn when she is able to come home. So I will have to cope on my own. If I need anything I will ring Pam next door.
Was in bed by 8.20 last night. dropped off for a hour or so, then the pain in my ribs started again. Was still awake when Ros came in at mid-night. Clock watched and dozed the night away. Was up by 7.00, had my two COT and porridge for breakfast. Ros is busy doing our months tablets into our trays, then I will see if she will cover my dressing,(NOT DRESSING GOWN) lol lol so I can have a shower, and wash my hair. I always feel better after that.
We didn't eat last night. Just hard boiled egg sarnie's, with tomato smashed up in it. Lets hope I fancy a Roast tonight.
Do any of you know the breed of dog Phillip Schofield has in that advert. I must try to find out on Google. Just CURIOUS. What a beautiful little thing it is. NO I am not getting another DOG. !!!
Looks a right miserable day out there today. I can see I will be tucked up in my chair in the warm, for the day.
I must take my morning medication, I will be rattling with all these tablets I am taking. ;-) ;-) ;-). Ros takes even more than me, so we should start an EMUNDO ROSS band. (if you remember who he was )
See you all later. xxxx

The Moon will turn red in the early hours of Monday morning as Britain experiences its last total lunar eclipse for 10 years. The Moon will start to darken at 2.35am with full eclipse beginning at 4.40am. It will be free of the Earth’s shadow by 7.49am.
It is the last chance for UK observers to see a total lunar eclipse in its entirety until 2029.

Had a busy day today sorting out some cuttings I did last year, the roots were poking out of the bottom of the pots so they all needed re-potting, then we all spent the rest of the day catching up with all our programmes we've recorded, we're running out of space on the planner so had to clear some of it.
Love the pics of your new girls Mel, they're bigger than I thought. I hope they settle in and carry on laying for you.
Hope your knee assessment goes well tomorrow Ann, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Sorry to see you didn't have a very good night last night Frank, maybe you'll have a better one tonight.
We saw the Heron today, they are so big but fly so gracefully. No workmen all weekend so we're not sure if they've stopped again, no doubt we'll find out tomorrow.
There's a lunar eclipse tonight that OH and I will be watching. Sandra likes her sleep to much so said she didn't want to see it. The only problem might be the clouds, so I hope there isn't many around so we can see it properly.

The new girls will get pecked for quite a while until the others get fed up with it. They may go off lay in a couple of days as they have more than one get coming down their tubes in stages. After the move they may have a few days off after the upset.
This is about St Bridit.
Apart from being the second patron saint of Ireland, St. Brigid is also the patron saint for babies; blacksmiths; boatmen; cattle; chicken farmers; children whose parents are not married; dairymaids; dairy workers; fugitives; infants; mariners; midwives; milk maids; poultry raisers; printing presses; sailors; scholars; ...
The cross is protection against fire in the home.
Iv'e not perfected it yet. I don't like the way you have to tie the arms off as I keep breaking the rushes.
