Been outside and done some picking and wiring for the wreaths. Not got much done but as you mostly know I have to do the church advent ring first.

The suns been out here most of the morning but there is a strong wind and now it has come over cloudy.

Our friends popped in this morning to see if we wanted to go with them for lunch. Oh was having 40 winks and I had been talking to them for ages before I went to see what he was up to as they had parked the car right outside his study. He came out then and I made coffee which woke him up a bit and we all had a good natter.

Back and etc is a bit easier today and if I stay standing up and walking about it seems not to hurt so much. It is when I sit here at the pc or the table that it hurts when I try to rise.

Must get on with more card writing too as I have so many to send now. Also have to sort something else out so I can then let you know what I have been making.

The washing has gone round the rads and not put out as we have had rain showers inbetween the sun.

My current avatar I cropped from a photo of my self and 2 brothers.

Because my younger brothers are present I'd estimate I'm 4 maybe 5

I don't have any younger photos. My Mother had me at an early age 16 years.

18 months later she gave birth to Dennis and 18 moths later Ralph.

3 Toddlers before she was 20 .... If that sounds busy my Grand Mother had 13

children, 6 sons and 7 daughters.

My Mother was the youngest 1929 - 1994 RIP <3

Well the sun is trying to break through as last.

"Lady Chatterley's Lover" that takes me back a bit. I remember reading that when I was about 15/16 years old (NAUGHTY BOY)!!! It was a serial on T.V. recently wasn't it ??

I thing it's best to play things by ear, and see how things go Gill. Hope you get a better result than the last one.

Ros has had a reply from a local woman, regarding her other sewing machine. She is calling after 4.30 pm today, so lets hope she likes it and buys it. ;-) ;-) ;-)

I had one of Ros's other present turn up this morning. A very nice Diamond and Opel ring. It's her size "R" so it should fit o.k. I hope she likes it.

I missed Jane's post this morning. She will be sitting back either eating her Pizza or relaxing in the Cinema. Hope they enjoy it.

No lunch for me today. I had my Mate and toast this morning, and don't fancy anything.

I see Man Utd are playing tonight, so I might take a stroll to the pub, if it's dry. or I will have to ring Tony. He is a supporter so is sure to want to go. I only go for the match as I watch most, provided it's good football I don't mind who wins. And I can have a couple of beers. !!

Ros has popped to Tesco to get a few bits and bobs, that we are running low on. Not that we couldn't manage without them. With what we have got in the fridge, cupboards and freezers we could last a month or so. Only really need fresh vegetables, bread and milk.

I've decided I'm not going to say anything, just let them do what they want to do.........Hope they don't have smelly feet :-D :-D
Your sister sounds like she's got an important job, but with all her other commitments I can see how she mustn't have much free time for herself.

How old are you in your new pic David, will we see one of you as a baby before the day's out ? ;-) ;-) ;-)

Pleased to hear you're back to your usual self today Anne

Sandra's decided she wants to watch another Christmas film this afternoon, so I'm going to leave the Christmas cards for another day now. To be honest, I'm not sure where they are, I put them in a SAFE place and now I can't remember where that was :-S

The agent rang me with the feedback from yesterday's viewing and they don't want our property. I'm getting used to it now. Apparently they didn't get the right feeling, which is fair enough I suppose, you need to have the right feeling about a place you're going to live in don't you?

Good afternoon everyone

I'm back to my usual self today after having a long chat on the phone with another of my many S.I.L, Jean who is married to Peter's brother Michael, they live in Ashford ,Kent, he is a retired policeman.

David you look very young in your latest Avatar. When I was prescribed Zapain pain killers it took me a while to realise that they were causing my constipation.

I haven't read 3 shades of grey either but have heard a lot about it, I can remember when my mother had "lady Chatterley's Lover" hidden in her knitting bag ;-)

The suns trying to come out now but it's quite windy and chilly.

Frank, lets hope the antibiotics are working for Ros. I liked the email about Bob Hope, I'd forgotten that he lived to be over 100.

Gill lets hope your latest viewings are successful . When we had our new boiler installed by British Gas they flushed the system through but we do have very hard water in this area which makes a difference ]not good]

I haven't done much today apart from hoovering and taking Amy for a walk, it's funny when we say hoovering when a lot of us use other makes these days

Jane, I hope you enjoy the film and meal, do you live far from Northampton?

I must go and get something to eat, I think I'll make a toasted sandwich

Frank Report 25 Nov 2015 11:38

Good morning all, Evening Kim,

Light drizzle here, but it does seem a bit warmer outside.

Ros is on antibiotics and cough mixture. She seems a bit better this morning, but when she coughs she rattles the windows ;-) ;-) ;-)

David you are a mind of information !! I didn't know about that bit of advise you gave gill.

How are you felling today Anne, a little less upset I hope <3 <3 <3

Hope all goes well with your viewing Gill, and that there isn't any hic cups with the Japanese.. Just treat them as normal human beings, (which they are) just a little different in the ways.

Liz, I remember that photo being sent to me last year. Lets all look forward to a nice Spring/Summer next year. I am sure it will cheer us all up to get a bit of sunshine on our backs !! ;-) ;-)

Mel, You must try to rest a bit, this weather will help, as you can't be outside doing things. ;-) ;-)

Thanks for your input Ann, I await your email with anticipation lol. I thought I was wrong somewhere down the line.

I have been given my box of Christmas Cards by Ros, so I will have to make a start on writing them, especially the ones to Canada, USA, Australia, and New Zealand. I also need a couple of addresses, which I will pm to those concerned.

Liver and Onions, Mash and peas for tonight. Will make a change from TURKEY :-D :-D :-D

Ann you be careful buying three shades of green, you never know where it might lead :-\ ;-) ;-) <3 <3 We don't want to have to visit you in hospital LOL LOL

Morning All

LOL David .Nice to know the Priest helped things get moving for you .3 weeks is a very long time :-S

Well the sun is shining and it is a lovely morning.Typical ,as we are of to Northampton soon for lunch and the Cinema..The film is Brooklyn.I can't remember if Ann said she has seen this one.

Gill I bet the people will be English and have probably been out in Japan for work.I wouldn't worry yourself about the shoe thing. At least you know if they are Japanese then they may well just slip off their shoes. You don't need to mention it to them.
I hope OH's cough clears up and you and Sandra don't pick it up.
Mel you will have to do easy things today and not aggravate the Sciatica. It is such a painful thing to have.Fingers crossed it is now gradually getting better.

How is Ros this morning Frank?I hope she hasn't been coughing all night and keeping you both awake.
Janice is 56 Frank and just has had enough working for the NHS.There is so much pressure on her and what with looking after William part of the week too she feels worn out.She is an OT Assisstant .She goes to peoples homes and assesses them for any help they may need It could be anything from something simple like raising seats to applying for funds for say a special shower/wet room .In fact any kind of aid to make life easier which will also enable the person to be able to continue to live in their own home.

I have just seen the time and we will be off in half an hour.I think we are having lunch at Pizza Express . BB later this afternoon.

Lucky you, with the good weather Liz lol, it's rained that much here we now have a massive puddle down the garden and the grass is water logged in parts too. Can you send some of your sun to me please :-D :-D I think Mel, could do with some to, with all the washing she needs to get dry LOL.

Yes I was thinking of ringing the Agent, although I'd be wearing my slippers, I get cramp if my feet get to cold, but I should imagine they would be ok with me wearing something on my feet with being English, and it is Britain after all.
I would take my shoes off if I was visiting them in their country though. I'm not bother either way if they take theirs off when they come here :-) You never know they maybe English themselves. Shall have to ask the Agent and find out.

There's no stopping me now David, I've just cropped another two photo's and popped them on my tree ;-) ;-) So something new I've learned today :-)
Thanks again for your help.

Maybe having acupuncture will help you Mel, like Liz suggested. This is the second time it's happen recently isn't it? Glad to hear it's not so painful today.

I think I might write my Christmas cards out today too, ready for posting, as it's almost December........I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by. It only feels like 5 minutes since I was taking the decorations down and now we're putting them back up again.
What a lovely thing to do with your Christmas lights Liz. I don't think Sandra would let me do that, she loves them so much she'd want them on as soon as they are on the tree. Mind you, that's what we've always done, my mum did it to, so it's something I'm used to and so is Sandra now.

You have the right idea Mel, leaving your lights up all year round LOL, it saves all the messing about and all you have to do is turn them on. Have you thought of a feather duster to clean them throughout the year, you said they get full of cobwebs? I have one and they are great <3

Yes, I had a bit of a giggle at what your OH would say Ann, if you decided to have those books lol lol.

Going to put more photos on my tree now, then try and remember where I put the Christmas cards I bought ;-) so I can get those started this afternoon.

Gill, I'd have a word with your agent about your Japanese viewers, they could find out exactly what the story is as to whether you have to be mindful of a particular custom or not. You don't want to cause embarrassment the other way round!
Yes, that pic was taken on our day on the river last May Mel. It was a lovely day and we had such a good time, so I thought I'd ring the changes with it.
Mel, you can do exercises to help that sciatic nerve. I was recommended them by an Osteopath, but I think you can find out on line what might be helpful. Could be worth a try. As I've said, in the end I had acupuncture, which did work, bit like a miracle! but it doesn't work for everyone.
Nice day here, cloudy sun, and not cold at all. Might do Xmas cards, might not!! No decs here till the weekend before Christmas day, we only have lights on the tree and we don't turn them on till Xmas eve. This is what we used to do at home, so we've always done it this way, as it was a signal that Xmas had started amid great excitement when children were small. Daughter does the same, so the excitement is now in her house and not particularly in ours!!!!

Morning all and evening Kim,

Winds blowing here this morning quite hard. Been raining too and I have a load of washing in the machine which will have to go in the drier. Then I shall have to do another lot as the bin is full to overflowing with all this bad wether we have had.

Side feels a bit better today but I hav'nt sat around much yet.

Hope Ros's meds start to work for her soon and she gets rid of that nasty cough.

Ann I can just see Gordon's face when you say yes to those books when you said his eyebrows would go up. Bless......

Sorry for waffling about me team. I hope you're all well, especially those of you in pain.
I've had my share lately, ongoing.
Was taking so many pain killers my DO's didn't move for almost 3 weeks. Now it is serious when you ask a priest to intervene.
Don't know what he said but it was effective :-D :-P

Good morning each

The avatar makes me smile That boy is me 58 years ago. Within months I'd repeatedly held up my hand and told the teacher I couldn't read what he'd chalked on the board. It wasn't their hand writing, it was my eyes. Sight test at Hamblin's Ophthalmic Emporium revealed I need glasses, which I've worn ever since.
Over the years I've considered contact lenses couldn't tolerate the irritation and then along came laser surgery. Great idea that came along too late for me, so I will continue to look like a geriatric Geordie in my Joe90 frames and bi-focals lol

The crop of the photo is surprisingly easy Gill. There is an edit thingy in My Pictures looks like a pencil. Click on that and you get a choice of options, one of which is crop. So I cropped me out of a 1957 group photograph. Then went to my account in GR and uploaded the cropped me as an avatar :-D <3

Morning all

It was absolutely pouring down with rain this morning, poor OH got soaked just going to the car, it seems to have stopped raining now, but for how long, who knows??

Thanks Jane for letting me know about the Japanese, I thought it was them, but wanted to check first. OH said they maybe English as their daughter lives over here. It was her who found our place online and is coming with her mum on Tuesday for the viewing, so I'll find out then if they are Japanese or not.

We only have the Premier Inn here Frank, so I don't suppose they'd have those slippers. I just didn't want to offend them if they took their shoes off, so now I know, I won't stop them if that's what they want to do. Might have a word with Premier Inn just in case, it can't do any harm to have some of those slippers here, although I'm not sure what size to get if they do have them :-S :-S

Pleased to hear you had a nice weekend with your sister Jane. Did you get lots of nice things when you both went shopping? Is your sister a nurse like you?

You look very smart in the picture David, you did well to crop it. I'd like to do that to some of the photo's I've got so I can put them on my family tree, but can't seem to find the right tool to do it.

That was nice of you Frank to send a copy of your family tree to your daughter, she'll be pleased with it, even if she doesn't say so and at least she'll know you're trying to help her. How is Ros today, is she on antibiotics? it's sounds like she's got a bad infection, hope she's feeling a bit better and is fit again, in time for Christmas.
I haven't had time to start reading my books yet, but I've heard they're pretty good ;-)

How are you feeling today Mel, did you make an appointment with the doctor in the end? Hope you are starting to feel a bit better too <3

Hope things are better for you too Anne, it's never easy around anniversary's is it? Give Amy a hug, I found hugging my pets always made me feel better <3 <3 they always seem to know when you are feeling a bit down.

OH came in from work last night and said that he was tired as he'd only had a couple of hours sleep the night before. He's got a terrible cough which kept him awake, so we ended up having a really early night last night, which meant that I've been awake since 6.15am. It was nice to see OH before he left for work though as normally he's gone before I get up.

He's got a lot of days off next week and two together on Thursday and Friday, so we're going to put our Christmas tree up then. Sandra can't wait as we've left it very late for us this year with having all the viewings and the boiler to work around, so that's something to look forward to.

Going to get another cuppa now, see you all later. Oh, it's just starting raining here again :-(
I knew it wouldn't stay dry for very long.

Nor me Mel! I think the film is on Sky at the moment as well. OH keeps picking the books up up in the charity shops and asks if I'd like them so I just might just surprise him and take him up on it next time! lol That should make his eyebrows go up. Mind you he says he's not into anything that involves pain so he might regret it!!!! :-) Years ago books and other things out of the ordinary would be called 'kinky' wouldn't they. Things have moved on so far now you never hear that word.

Frank you know we will always help if we can and I've sent you an email already. :-)

Anne I often watch Escape to the Country too! Some of the houses are fabulous aren't they. I've seen the Coroner a few times, but must see if I can catch up with that one on the iplayer Jane. It'll be good to have a stick handy in case you need it. I'm glad I have my walking poles, I could always use one of those if I needed to.

Crikey I'm missing my beauty sleep and I need all I can get!! TTFN.
