Frank it's us that have been married for 51 years! I don't think Ann has?!! It's probably three life sentences if you count remission for good behaviour?!!! Cassie has spent the morning helping (?!) me garden. OH has been tidying the barn in preparation for the re clad. The timber will be cut over the weekend, and next week it's action stations!!

Morning all, evening Kim,
Glad to see you back Gill. A word of warning Gill, This couple who are coming back (hopefully) to view. MAKE SURE they do not let the Agents know, or they will still charge you their fees, Their argument will be THAT HAD THEY NOT GONE INTO THEIR OFFICE, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE KNOW IT WAS FOR SALE. So please be careful. <3 <3
Mel you have been busy. We don't have much luck with sweet peas, even though Ros loves them. They smell so nice when cut and in a vase.
So your OH is still serving his TWO LIFE SENTENCES then Ann, ;-) ;-) ;-) 51 years, congratulations. Not many last that long :-D :-D Mine would have been 56 in October but ended after 17 with her affair.
Glad you are getting back to normal Liz, Nice to do your own thing, isn't it ??
Here I sit at the computer after lazing around and having my breakfast. Eggs bacon and Bubble and Squeak. Two slices of B & B and more tea. I had my shower, now only have to shave and get dressed. What a lovely life. But that's what I worked 50 odd years for !!!
Spoke with Jan on Skype. SHE'S not coming home TODAY but Thursday. !!! Good job I looked at her message, or I could see us sitting at Luton tonight waiting for her. I would not have been a HAPPY BUNNIE :-( :-( :-(
Glad the creams are working for you Fiona, nothing worse that having itchy hands. I can never leave them alone.
It's very cloudy here, and that wind is getting up. I am not sure of the forecast, but am looking forward to next week for some permanent sunshine 30 degrees out in Spain today. Bliss. ;-) ;-)
Now for a shave and get dressed. WHAT SHALL I WEAR TODAY ???

I am going shopping today. Oh seems a bit quiet today so he has probably had a bad night as his back is bad from mowing the little lawn out the back with the pushy type mower. It goes along by itself but you have to keep up with it and oh dos'nt do fast walking anymore. Bad hips too.

Morning/Evening All
Gill, your poor Mum has had a couple of upsetting weeks what with her friend and then her dear cat.She must be feeling so sad at the moment.
Fiona ,what a nuisance if the deramitis never clears completely.Chris gets a type of dermatitis on his fingers during the summer months ,once he starts all the working in the garden.I have to stop him picking at the flaky skin :-S :-S
Mel that's good yours seems to finally be getting better. The creams must be doing the work :-D It seems to be brightening up here a bit now ,but there is quite a cool wind.perfect though for getting the washing dry :-D
I had a message from my Birth Brother Peter to say he will hopefully give me a ring at lunchtime :-D.it has been a few months since we last had a natter.

We both had a really good rights sleep, so feel a lot better this morning. Nothing much doing here today; OH has the Dentist this afternoon then we shall pop into Tesco's for a few bits, but apart from that it will be a restful day. Surely your OH could help you do your shopping Mel if your hip is painful? Managing on your own could be quite difficult and another pair of hands could make all the difference. Sun is out, but the wind is so COLD!! My SIL tells us that its 35 degrees where she lives in France!!

Morning all
I've finally got the problem fixed on my internet, it kept cutting out and I lost my connection all the time. Well I had a good look at all the cables going to the router and couldn't find anything but then yesterday I thought, I wonder if it's the telephone extension lead and wouldn't you know it.....it was damaged so I went out and got another one, but putting it in took ages as it goes all around the mulberry bush to get to the router. It's all done now and so far I haven't lost my connection.
I've missed out on so many posts, a lot has been happening.
I love the duck Cassie got I bet she loves it and the picture of Thomas, I didn't realise how big he was Jane. Glad to hear the bell seems to be working so no more pressie's for you then ;-) ;-). I bet you were relived when Hannah text you, it doesn't matter what age your children are you can't help but worry about them....It must be a mum thing.
How wonderful Pat that you got some offers on your place and over the asking price to. I bet you can't wait to move and be settled, how exciting. I would try an open day myself but our agents are useless, so much so that we got a note posted through our door the other day off a couple who wanted to view our property but said the Agents were very unhelpful. I rang the couple, they left their number, and booked a viewing for last Saturday unfortunately they had to cancel because they had a viewing themselves on their place, so I'm going to give them another ring later and see if they'd like to book another viewing with us. The good thing is if they do want our place then we won't have to pay the Estate Agent as we will be selling to the couple privately <3.
I'm just out to my mum's now, she's still upset about her cat and it was her friends funeral yesterday so I think she needs a bit of cheering up. I'll catch up on all the posts when I get back.

Morning Mel
Glad your hands are improving to, Dr said I was doing good with using the Latex free vinyl gloves, I got them in Wil*kinsons for a £1 and I am on to my second box. great for using when washing my hair, and I wear one on the right hand under my rubber gloves during dish washing & doing the laundry. also need to cover my hand when in the bath or shower so it doesn't get wet, just have to be careful when washing my hands , try only to wash fingers of right hand, bit of a nuisance really, as the irritation is in the crease's of my hand,
Hope your hip eases up, have you been carrying anything heavy that would put a strain on your hips,

Morning all and evening Kim,
Fiona I said it was dermatitis when we first had it. The trouble is I am always wshing my hands. I have to use the two creams twice a day too. Mine is clearing up again so I think I shall keep using the cream for a week or two.
Sun with huge white clouds scudding across the sky quite quickly today. I am supposed to go shopping today but I have woken up with a badly aching hip.

Morning Everyone, Evening Kim
Just got back from Drs, my itchy hand is improving but still sort of inflamed , so the dr said it was a form of dermatitis , and likely will never go away, so every time it starts to get itchy I will need to use the Canesten cream for 7 days ,twice a day and use a moisturizer, all the time, at least I now know what it is and can control it.
Lovely morning here today, hope it lasts for a while, we have had lots of rain and strong winds the last few weeks, thought we would never see the sun.
Need some form of refreshment, better get the coffee on
:-D

Frank, OH was born in July 1940!! and we've been married for 51 years and four months!!!! Perhaps we both deserve a medal!!! No soaps in this house Frank, so it's never an issue! The closest we get is Home Fires, which we both enjoy, tonight it's things we've recorded over the last few weeks and an early night-again!!! Tomorrow we shall get to grips with garden weather permitting. There's a new series on BBC2 9pm tonight about wild life in Japan. It looks good and well worth watching.

Frank no the pheasent has'nt been back today that I have seen.
Liz glad you enjoyed your company for the fews days but as everyone says it is nice to get back to being on your own and pleasing yourselves rather than everyone else.
Well I got on quite well in the end. I have put the bag/tub thing outside the bathroom window where there is a trellis on the wall and filled it with compost, it took almost a whole bag!! and put strings up the trellis too and planted my sweet peas in it. Also cleared the other two concrete sytens with the clematis in, of the old tulips and put three pots of sweet peas in those too. All fed and watered. Had a sweep up outside the shed and now oh is out the shower I am going to wash up and do some pasta in cheese sauce for dinner.

All fed and dish washer is on. Unusual for me, but I like you and Chris Jane, I have no go in me today. We should use it more often. We soon fill it with four/five saucepans and cooking pot or dish from the oven, plus the usual cups and plates etc.
Jane FUR BALLS are a thing you can expect from a long haired cat. !!!
It's clouded up here now, and quite muggy. The wind is also getting up, so not sure what we might get.
Glad you enjoyed your friends company from Holland Liz. But as you say it's nice to get back into your normal routine. What a nice offer you have had. I have been to Wells but not round the Cathedral. What age will Ian be in July ??
Two boring hours of soaps, so I will be in my little hidey hole in the conservatory. It might be difficult to see the T.V. even with the blinds down. The sun sets right down our garden :-D :-D :-D
Mel, Has your Pheasant been back with the babies. I bet you are busy feeding them. Bless !!!!
No Gill again today. WHERE ARE YOU ???

I wonder if it is the weather as neither Chris or me feel motivated either.Seems like we all feel like it.maybe it is the wind blowing all the pollen around.I know has been sneezing like mad.
Frank it was James who decided to call the cat Thomas.I would have gone for something different. But now he looks like a Thomas :-D. Chris called me to to the garden earlier when he was cutting the lawn to ask if what he was looking at was cat sick :-S..Yes it was his breakfast.Yuk.There was something else in it too which might have been a fur ball. Then again it could have been mouse.I think more likely a fur ball.He is always grooming. So he has had a pouch with fish for his tea instead of meat as fish will be easier digested.Lets hope all stays down tonight :-DHe slept from 8.30 last night until just after 7.30 this morning when he came up to the bedroom to give me a good loving :-D..Obviously wanting feeding lol
Sausages and Buffalo Burgers tonight with what is left over from the rice and lentil dish I did yesterday, plus the spicy tomato sauce I did ,and I think Spring Greens. So not too much to actually do :-D

Well we have finally got home after taking our visitors to finish their trip with mutual friends. The visit to us was a great success, but as you said Mandy, entertaining, cooking vegetarian (!!) meals, going on trips, and appearing bright and breezy ALL the time, can be very tiring, so for the next day or two we shall, as they say, chill out!! Cassie was such a good girl, and our friends adored her. Now she is digging a large hole outside our back door!!! Son's partner has emailed, wanting to take me out for the day to look round Wells Cathedral and have lunch, they also want to take us out for the evening on OH's birthday in July. The answer to both of these ideas is Yes Please! Glad Hannah arrived safely Jane. Elder granddaughter flew back from Slovakia yesterday. It's always nice to know that they are safe.

Well dinner is already and the meat is in the over. That will tick along 'till 6 ish. It should just fall apart. It's smelling really nice, it's making me hungry.
Ros is still on the patio. She has trimmed all the plants that have gone over. Transplanted a couple of others into larger pots, now sweeping up, I have been out and told her it's time to come in. She will be complaining about her back now. But as she rightly says, if she doesn't do it who will ;-) ;-) ;-)
Still mentioned about getting a new patio laid next year. I said your SON promised a new one all those years ago and we are still waiting. I will have a word with "PADDY" and see what it will cost. Too much no doubt.
Turned out to be a nice afternoon. The wind has dropped away, and it's quite nice out there.
Like you Mel, I couldn't get going today, so I have DONE NOTHING. !!!!

I can't get motivated today. I have done a bit of sweeping up outside my shed, fed all the chickens and bantams and wild birds and now I am sat here it's time to get some lunch on the go.
Loved the Moorhen story Frank. They are such funny little birds.

So pleased that Hannah has arrived safely.
Not very warm in doors, mind you I am in shorts. Ros has decided to finish off a bed at the back of the greenhouse. I just don't seem to have any energy or desire to go out there today.
I have got a tray of stewing steak out of the freezer, That's sitting in a bowl of water to thaw. I will put that in gravy in the oven for a good two/three hours, We will have mash and a selection of veg with it, about 6.00 pm.
I am sitting reading my book, but my eyes keep wanting to shut !!! so have left it for a while.
Better go and see if the worker needs a drink or anything ;-) ;-) ;-)

Morning all, Evening Kim,
Pat it's not only your battery needing a re-charge. Both Ros and I feel our batteries HAVE RUN OUT !!! I have said it's an easy day today. We will see.
Yes I thought it was a "DUCK" but was a little unsure the way it laid,!!
Trust you have heard from Hannah this morning, I trust she had a good flight, and arrived at her destination safely. The little bell seems to be working on Thomas. Have you given him that name from the cartoon series ???
All go now then Pat. How long do you think it will take to get it all sorted ??
Mel, What a lovely sight that must have been. Any photo's yet ??
I remember some years back I was driving through a Country lane, when a Moorhen popped out of the grass verge, with a string of babies following. She crossed the road (I HAD STOPPED) and on the other side was a slight bank . She jumped up, but the babies were unable to, So I got out on the car and helped them all up the bank, and away they went. There was an irate driver behind me blowing his hooter. I just glared at him and continued on my way !!!!
I am lost for words regarding your In-Laws Ann, They just WON'T take any notice of what your OH says to them. If they play up with Social Services, someone will put their foot down. ;-) ;-) ;-)
No Gill yesterday, I trust all is well at home <3 <3
Nice morning here again, slight breeze, but I don't think it will be cold. Lots of white clouds and a bit of blue.
