Morning/Evening All
What a windy night it was. Pots all over the place his morning :-S..We decided that we couldn't leave the summerhouse door ajar (even secured ) as the wind was so bad so Thomas was put in the kitchen on a comfy padded bed.We went off to bed and about 20 minutes later I was reading,a little black and white face appeared in the doorway. I have no idea how he got out ,other than the door hadn't clicked shut properly.Anyway you can guess where he ended up sleeping :-D..On the bed until just after 3 when he started to wake and wandering about. The wind was still howling but I managed to stay in bed until about 4.14 when I let him out. A couple of hours ago I had some clattering noise and found him on top of the Upright Fridgefreezer !!!!.He had landed on the pile of tupperware things stacked on the top lol
I think his tum might be ok now..My Sister reckoned it was most likely the Frontline .
Hope your leaks are fixed now Ann.I have to nip out now ,not that I really want to but needs must.
It is Kim's Birthday today....Happy Birthday Kim.Hope you have had a wonderful day <3 <3 <3

Morning all and evening Kim and Happy Birthday to you,
Still very windy here and dull and wet with it. so much for flaming June and ne'er cast a clout till May is out. Do you think we are going to get any summer this year???
So much for global warming as ever since they have said we have had worse weather.
Ann the fused glass is lovely. I love the square dish very artistic. I thought you were going to do a dragonfly on something?

This doesn't stop me buying things I like in the charity shop when I see a bargain
We were shown 3 different layouts so had a choice. We will be choosing. Showers and kitchen units and everything else ourselves

Ann. We only live in a 2 bed terrace at the moment so we don't have a lot more things to get rid off
My big items like the double bed from the second bedroom and my large 6 seater table and chairs I donated to the charity shop where I work. We have fitted wardrobes here so that is something we will have to sort out in our new place. A lot of bric I have also donated. You will be surprised how many cooking items you don't need over the years.
Another settee will be going as well. Things look big on plans but until it is built. You can't really tell

Our gales hav'nt stopped all day and are still going on out there. I went to shut the chickens in and got soakes right through my trousers. Oh has told me to go and change them. My coat is dripping onto the floor where it is hung in the corner!! I have turned the heating on for an hour to warm the place up.
I think the frontline granualy coats the whole of the cats or dogs coat so if Tomas Fleabag has been washing himself that may have upset his tummy. Also if he has'nt been eating much and now your feeding him that may have upset his tummy. Perhaps a little chicken would be better to give him. I would not let him sleep inside as when mum came down here she took in a dear little cat and left her in the lounge for the night. In the morning the cat had the runs and had down it in the corner of mums new settee. She had the devil of a job to get the new covers off and clean them.
Signing out now so saying night night and hope the weather is kinder tomorrow.

It sounds like you are going to have a busy few months Pat. Will the annex be smaller than your current place so you have to sell some of your stuff? When I moved here I was living on my own in a 4 bed place with a big garden and huge garage. I and OH were selling stuff right, left and centre from both our houses to be able to fit in here. I bet you have been able to help design the annex to suit you though so that will have been an advantage. As Gill says you should be nicely settled for Christmas in your new place.
It also might be whatever he stuck his nose in to get those fleas that has given him the runs Jane. I bet he feels much better for being rid of them. I take it he doesn't have worms?
Mandy they are hopeless at organising anything there. You can never get through on the phone, they come to class at times chasing people for payment when they've already paid or before it's even due. They got a right telling off from me once about the inappropriateness of discussing people's financial matters in front of other class members! It beggars belief that they send a member of staff around the classes to collect payments anyway, most don't carry cash and they can't take credit cards. What a waste of council tax payments paying them wages to do that....money for old rope. Yes, I wish I'd taken a photo of my group of things on the day now like my friend did! :-) lol.
Two calls from MIL today. It seems the free ambulance transport will only take the patient from now on!! If a carer is needed the ambulance people will sort it themselves. She didn't like that as it scuppered her taking FIL............so she's paying for a taxi instead. :-S She said FIL has been in tears the last 3 days, worried in case anything happens to her. We suspect she has been making a big drama of things about her health to him instead of being calm and positive to him. She was complaining again how bad his memory is too, but what does she expect. I'm quite worried as she has no patience at all and on one occasion last summer when OH used his key to let us into their house we were both shocked at the way she was shouting at him. They didn't hear us with both being quite deaf and neither of us had ever heard her talking like that before, like people shout at a dog. We've been mindful of it since but haven't noticed any more signs of the same.
Well, the wind is howling and the rain lashing and we have put a bit of heating on too. We are off to bed now to watch the new Johnny Kingdom series. We enjoyed the last ones.
Early start tomorrow.....my car is in for the leak to be sorted.

Frank Ros is so good with all these Airport runs, although Luton isn't that far from you is it.Hannah is off to America on Sunday.I'm quite relieved we don't have to take her to Heathrow. She will get a taxi probably from where she lives.I bet she is getting the collywobbles a bit now.
Mandy you have been lucky to have had good weather all day.We actually turned the heating on about mid-day,but now I feel too warm.Mind you I do have a jumper on and the oven is on. Thomas hasn't cleared his dish tonight and he just gone running off down the garden. He likes to sit in front of the compost stacks.I bet there are mice in there :-D James has just arrived. He has been to see Johnny's Mum and has come home with some very large slices of chocolate cake with Cadbur* flakes on.He said Denise seemed quite good tonight :-D.So that is good news.Hopefully she is beginning to cope better now with the loss of her lovely son . It's as Black as your hat outside now and looking quite stormy. The 1st of June too. It seems the hight temps towards the end of the week are not going to last.

Evening all,
I had a rest this afternoon and I dozed off for an hour. Feel much better now, but very hot. I am sitting here stripped.
Glad Thomas is clear of the dreaded flea's. He will feel much better not having those little blighters nipping at him all the time. The thing about the runs, we don't know how frontline affects the skin, and how deep it penetrates into his body.
So you are on the move then Pat. Hope everything goes well on Saturday. They say the weather should be fine, so that will help.
Jan is off to Spain tomorrow afternoon. She is coming here from Kerry's, leaving her car here and Ros is taking her to Luton. She will pick her up next week.
Thank Gawd we don't have B. G. T tonight. but still have two hours of soaps !!!!
I'm going for a haircut tomorrow morning, while there I must remember to get an Anniversary card for MADAM. or I will be right in the dog house. :-( :-( :-(
I don't know about the start of SUMMER. The weather outside looks more like NOVEMBER. apart from the leaves on the trees and the light evenings. ;-) ;-) ;-)
We finished off the Lamb tonight I warmed it through in gravy in the oven with roasties and parsnips, Carrots and peas runners and broad beans. I stewed a load of Rhubarb this morning so Ros is having some of that. I don't like it :-P :-P :-P
Have a good evening, I doubt I will get back on.

Evening all,
It's been a nice sunny day up until about an hour ago ,it's now clouded over and really looks more like rain now , i see we have a weather warning for high winds this way tonight and tomorrow.
It was hair cut day today ,i feel all itchy round the neck ,even though i've had a wash and changed my top :-0
Oh Ann you would have thought they would have noted who made what in the fused glass class so you got the right pieces back. What a palaver to get them ,they don't sound very organised .
So it will be all go Pat once the building work starts, bet you car't wait ,you have a good number of viewings so i hope you soon get a buyer .
Poor old Thomas he's got problems from one end to the other !! he's being good not jumping up on the worktops ,i should think as you say he was just very hungry. I can see him being indoors tonight :-D especially as the bed is all ready for him :-D

Evening All We have had trouble with the internet today .Hopefully it is all sorted now. Pat it will be all go for you now !!!Has been a plan of yours to move to your Daughters? I hope your Open Viewing will be a great success and you get an offer :-D
Gill have you decided definitely to stay put now?.Or is the house still on the market?
Ann I hope you aren't missing any of your glass pieces. What a to do to get them !!
Well Fleabag is totally clean now :-D.He was very reluctant to come in this morning lol,but once in has hardly moved..I think he has got a touch of the runs as he had a bit of a dirty rear end this morning :-S :-S.I wondered if the Frontline could have upset him or maybe the Cat Milk.So I will leave that out now.I have got some pet wet wipes just in case I have to do anymore 'cleaning'.He is such a little dear :-D :-D I have Southern Fried Chicken in the oven ,and he doesn't seem to be interested .Plus he hasn't been jumping up on the worktops. So maybe he really was hungry.Nearly a week now since he turned up. I looked up about the fleas on the edges of his ears.It looks like they could be from Rabbits. He probably had his head stuck down a rabbit burrow lol.One positive thing ...we haven't seen a Rabbit since he has been here :-D :-D
The wind really picked up earlier with some rain. But it seems to have calmed down now.I have said we might keep 'Thomas' in tonight .I have a padded pet bed that can go in the kitchen, and then I could put down some newspaper just in case of accidents.Chris still says he should stay out in the summerhouse..Will see who wins the argument.
Frank I can't remember what the song was that Janice chose, and Chris was having a very silly moment with 'ERNIE" LOL..It might have been the wine. Your meal sounded delish yesterday.I never think to do Cheese and Biscuits and Port.I think the only time we actually have Port is at Xmas.We had Strawberries ,Raspberries and Clotted Cream too yesterday :-D
Crumbs Pat,another Grandchild !!.How many do you have now?...I somehow don't see a day when I will have any :-(..Not the rate my two are going anyway..I live in hope :-D I see on your FB that the dogs are enjoying all their trips away with you :-D.They look like they get on really well together.
Mel do you think you might not get another tunnel at some point ? Just a small one. I can understand how you miss having it.Do you have electrics in the Shed?
The oven is pinging

Hello Gill Nice to meet you...Yes they do make you welcome on here
Mel...I have just recently rehomed all my fish..The baby goldfish we took to Clares about a month ago and they have settled in well.
The bigger ones including the ghost carp my friend from work rehomed...That took 2 journeys as we wanted the first lot to settle in well.
The indoor tank and fish went about a year ago to a good home..

We have been stressed this end because we have been waiting for building plans to go though at my daughters,,They have now been passed and the building regs so our house is now up for sale.

They hope to start the building work next week..This Saturday we have an open house on ours so hopefully it wont take long to sell
We hope to move in September sometime...Between Clare and I we don't have to rely on our house being sold straight away

Afternoon All,
Lots of rain here this morning and more to follow by the looks of it. OH did the holes in my tub this morning and then took stuff to the tip. Now he can't get the cords that hold the back parcel shelf in place to clip back on, so will need to get the handbook out. :-S I went and fetched my glass this morning, what a palaver. No one answers the adult learning phone so I rang the lady who did the course!! She said to go to the bungalow at the back of the school. Well there were several and the first one was a child's nursery. Third time lucky and I found it, but was ignored by 3 staff members who were in a flap because they'd given someone there a wrong exam paper. No,' excuse us' or 'we'll see you in a minute' and why did it take 3 of them to sort it out? Anyway, I got my glass and thought I'd check it before I went and wouldn't you just know it, one of the pieces wasn't mine :-S Now I can't remember if something of mine is missing? I think the coasters had been overcooked though as the detail and colour doesn't show as well as that on the dish and I did them the same. Now I can buy some stick on bails as hangers for some things. I only had time to do one other errand then, as there was traffic at a standstill on the way to T*sco for 20 minutes so I turned round and came back as OH wanted to go to the garden centre for lunch and it was getting late. She usually does the leftover meat from Sunday lunch on Mondays, but not any more it seems.
That sounds like a lovely dinner Frank and I am a fan of Lamb as you know. Yes it's like a comedy farce when you take MIL and FIL anywhere. She's even been known to ask patients what they are there for!! She has no empathy nor is she able to read body language and pick up whether people just want to sit quietly, or may be in pain. If they try to ignore her she tells you afterwards that it was a 'funny woman'. :-S
Mel, that was a surprise this morning then, but I think that would have startled me!! I get kisses every morning, but he usually waits till I'm fully awake, probably in case I think he's someone who has broken in. lol. :-)
Better go and finish my errands now, hopefully the traffic is less, then I can plant the new tub up when I get back. Whatever the weather it will be dry in the greenhouse.

I've managed to get back to the 1700's on one couple and found the names of the parents for the male of that couple but no dates for the parents yet. I'm now trying to come down to the present day on all their children and their children etc... I've been on this part of my family for about 4 years now on and off, but keep hitting brick walls.
Enjoy your book and good luck with your tree <3
