You should be so LUCKY Mel, I can't remember the last time I had one of those.
Miserable morning here also. Very cloudy and windy. So won't be going out anywhere. Ros has an appointment at 4.00 pm Something to do with her eyebrows !!! arranged by Martine.
My Stroke leg (right one) has been playing up this morning. The nerves keep jumping and I get pins and needles . When I try to stand up, my leg gives out, so I plop back into the chair. It's given me the shakes. I think I might go for a lay down a bit later.
What a subject to get onto Jane, Funeral songs, I think mine will be "I DID IT MY WAY" it was that one that my brother BILL had for his.
Where on earth did Chris. think of his one :-D :-D :-D What was the one that made you cry.??
Has your pressie arrived for Cassie yet Liz, We will need a Photo and full description. ;-) ;-)
Left over Roast Lamb for dinner tonight. I will do Roasts and Parsnips today, with various veg.
How's the OH this morning Gill, ??What plans have you got for his days off ?? not working I hope ;-) ;-)
Yes where is William ?? He doesn't normally leave it this long between postings. I hope they are both well. !!

Pinch and a kick for being so quick Frank.
Windy and dull here this morning so no change there then and now they say we are not going to get a heatwave by the end of the week but it will be more settled instead.
As Gill said where has this year gone as we are half way through it already, well nearly.
I was awoken with a kiss this morning!!!!! very strange and then the penny dropped...... oh wants me to go up the shop for some ciggies for him.

Morning all, Evening Kim,
Pinch punch and all that !!!!
Well everything went to plan yesterday. The meat was perfectly cooked and carved like a dream. Nice big thin slices, that covered the serving plate, I put the Yorkshires all around the plate. I think there might have been a couple of Brussels and two potato's left. Ror did a big dish of strawberry's, with fresh and clotted cream. We had Cheese and biscuits with a glass of port. Which finished the meal of to a treat.
Poor old "FLEBAG" If I remember rightly, my old friend had his ears chewed to bits. Ros would put cream on them as they looked to sore We soon got him clear with Frontline. THAT IS IT. He will be staying with you now Jane.
Ann Your OH should make it very clear to his Mum that she MUST stop taking his DAD out whenever is suits her. You did make me smile about talking about other patients, and what they might of had done. :-) :-) :-)
Mel, Fancy the banty getting caught in the rabbit trap. I bet she was pleased to see you appear, an egg also to boot. !!!!
Off to get a bacon Sarnie and another cup of tea.
See you later.

Morning all
A lovely day here nice and sunny with just a light breeze. We had hail yesterday. 1st of June already where has the year gone, it'll soon be Christmas again ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-).
OH is feeling much better he just has an annoying cough he can't seem to shift, but apart from that he's fine now so has nipped out to his mates for a few hours.
Hope Thomas Fleabags has forgiven you Jane for putting him outside <3. I'm sure with you going out to cuddle him he'll be ok and won't wonder off again.
Glad to hear you remembered to shut the bantams in this time Mel.
How did the meal go Frank, did everyone clear their plates.
All the TV should be back to normal now BGT has finished, Sandra loves that program so we've been watching it and the winner was a dog. The owner made up stories and the dog acted to them, he was brilliant and deserved to win, she'd had the dog from a puppy and you could clearly see the close bond they both had with each other.
I'm going to take another look at my family tree today, to see what I can find. OH has gone out and Sandra is till asleep so while I've got a few hours peace and quiet I can concentrate. I've just been in touch with a tree match in Australia so now I'm waiting for his reply.
See you all later <3

I was thinking of William today too. I do hope Carmel and he are alright and am sending love and wishes. <3 <3 <3
Fleas tend to live in cats ears and then come out to feed on the ear edges and drink from their eyes.
Glad you got your refund on the dummy box Jane.
I HAVE SHUT THE BANTAMS IN TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Made sure I did it first before feeding the hogs.
I save Country file till a Saturday night when theres not much on. Last night I watched the weeks before but did'nt get right through it as I was so tired I went to bed at 1am which is early for me. I was up earlier this morning though.
Well I am signing out now so saying night night and see you all in the morning.
Hope Frank's company were'nt too full after their meal.................

Well done Jess. :-) Did you say he was on your bed before? Will you need to spray that.....or inside the hoover? Yes, Mandy, there he was thinking it was cushti at Jane's and now he must wonder what's happened and why he's outside!!
OH has been quite forceful Jane. He told her FIL mustn't go out, only to appointments for himself and laid it on the line what might happen, fall and knock himself out, broken hip, hospital, might not come out again, stroke with his high BP and she told us herself that the Doctor who checked his high BP said he shouldn't be going out as much. She seems to agree at the time but then takes no notice at all. If they think they 'know best' about their medications when they drop them off, they are going to think the same about advice I expect. :-S
I'm off to bed to watch Countryfile now. I hope I sleep better as I want to be up early to go shopping. Apart from groceries, OH needs shoelaces and jackets dry cleaning and I have a voucher for a free chicken from M*S. If I go out for a couple of hours OH will be able to catch up with some of his notes.
We haven't heard from William for a while have we? I hope he's ok.

Ann it was Jess who discovered fleas. Then it was her and Janice who did the treatment :-D.Sprayed the blanket in the summerhouse at the same time...I notice Thomas is not on the blanket but has moved further over the other side of the settee where Chris has his art books. He is perched on the edge now.He obviously doesn't like the smell of the spray LOL Ann if Gordon said to his Mum that FIL MUST stay at home when she goes for her appointment ,would that make her listen.(If he really put his foot down).I'm sure he would be fine on his own just for a few hours.I bet it makes you want to scream!!!
Lawks!!! Mel poor Banty must have got a shock being caught in the Rabbit trap !!!! Hopefully she will stay clear of that one now :-D
Bet Frank and visitors are full to the brim now :-D :-D
Mandy ,I got my refund for the Zirtec. It was a Dummy pack !!!!..Why it had a security tag on heaven knows. The lady said they realised about an hour after I bought 'the pack'that I had bought an empty box.The thing was it did say Dummy Pack on the plastic box..but neither me or the assistant saw that.
I started to watch Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell and have to say I turned it off before the programme was half way through. It wasn't my kind of thing.
Off to go and have a bit of a snuggle with 'Fleabag ' :-(

Janice and Larry have just gone. What a scream we have just had .Janice was saying she has chosen the songs for her funeral ..Well the first one made me cry and I said I don't want to hear it again until 'the time' should it happen. Then Larry said what he wants and played a song by Neil Young.I said I wanted Albatros by Fleetwood Mac for one of mine....Chris came up with ....Ernie (the fastest milkman in the west) `not sure what that is all about lol The fleas on 'Thomas ' were just all on the edges of his ears.Very strange. But it looked like lots of little seeds stuck there, and when you pulled them baby fleas came out.Too small to even 'crack'.But he has now been 'done',and they look as they have almost all dropped off now.So by tomorrow he should be all cleared.Janice had a good look through all his fur and said the same as me .Clean as a whistle .It was just the rims of his ears .It is as though he had stuck his head in somewhere and eggs had attached to his ears.So he is shut out now until tomorrow. Not a happy puss :-S This evening has turned out really quite pleasant ,with plenty of blue sky. I will have a good spray around all the lounge tonight with the flea spray. I think the cost for the Frontline and spray for furnishings was £26 !!!!!!
Mel I didn't need to use the Wet and Forget. The stone wasn't mossy at all .it was just the soil and turf had grown over it a bit ,but once cut back the stone itself was actually quite clean. Will end you a pic. I better just go and have a cuddle with 'Thomas' outside now.I think he is a bit miffed he is not allowed in
:-S :-S

I forgot to say that I only counted 9 bantams this morning when I fed the big girls. I hav'nt seen them about much today biut they were in the box hedge for quite a while this afternoon when the wind was high. I went round to corn the big girls and looked at the rabbit trap and guess who was in there? Yes it was the banty hen that was missing this morning and she had laid her egg in there too. When I let her out she shot back to the banty house and started eating like there was no tomorrow. Bless, I bet she won't go in there again!! :-0

Afternoon Folks,
Yes, there was a mention of the Norfolk village of the same name (different pronunciation though) on the information boards Mandy and it said they used to run train trips between the two years ago. (with several train changes). :-) The kiddies that were there were loving the trikes and jumping from one to another to try them all.
Yikes Jane, so he's 'fleabag' now then and banished to outdoors. Janice and Jess certainly won't want to be taking any home with them! Who was it who spotted them?
What a shame your hubby has had another virus Gill. I hope he continues to feel better.
Frank, I just couldn't sleep last night and lay awake till 3.30am!! Of course I was shattered then and had a lie in.
MIL rang again this morning. Yesterday she wanted OH to take her for the endoscopy and said that FIL would be going as well. OH told her again he didn't think it was necessary for FIL to go and suggested she ask the carers to sit with him that day. She'd also had another appt come for a colonoscopy which she hadn't mentioned before and wanted OH to take her for that as well. Well, again he was happy to do it, but needed to check and ring her back Monday about a meeting that had been suggested. Well, with her impatience, she couldn't wait so said she has it all sorted now as a neighbour is taking her. I presume FIL is going as well! :-S OH said it is twice as hard dealing with and sorting two instead of one with the state they are both in. Also, with the two of them, and them both being quite deaf, they sit staring at and loudly discussing other patients that are waiting and constantly point out eg I bet she's had something done to her nose, eye etc, wherever they see the bandage or dressing!!
OH has emptied out the greenhouse this morning and moved the bench/staging around for me and I think it will work very well. :-) I had a good sort out and threw a lot of pots and stuff out so it looks much tidier now too. Tomorrow he will drill holes in the tub and I've found a bag of polystyrene packing bits I can use to put in the bottom to make the tub lighter to move. While he did that I cleaned the rest of the conservatory while it was cooler. No joke wiping the floor when you can't kneel, but it had to be done!! I wish they did one of those Kar*her window things on a pole for the floor!
I did a bit of FH last night and found a photo of one of my maternal grandmother's cousins. She had quite a distinctive nose like grandma...........but I'm glad I didn't inherit it. Another relative, her brother died in WW1 aged 21. So many lost sons and brothers in the War in mum's side of the family. I must do a count up some time.

The min I go in the garden to the shed I wash them when I come in. It is never ending.
Dinner sounded nice Liz. We have had our BIG breakfast and we shall have the ususal cheese and biccies in a min.
I did'nt know Home Fires is'nt on tonight until I read the posts. B*m b*m B*m why do they do that??????????????

No, I know Mandy! We're gutted as we're really enjoying it particularly as there is so little of any interest to watch during the week. I have to say I do resent having to give way to another programme whether it's sport or variety! Oh well, we were going to record Dan Snow, but will watch it instead! Nothing much happened here today, roast chicken, new spuds, carrots in a parsley sauce, and yoghurt for pudding! It was a proper job, though I say it myself!!

Glad your hand is healing again Mel, bit of a job with hand problems i always think, because as soon as you put the cream on and then you go and do a job you need to wash your hands ,i suppose some of goes into the skin though.
BIL is doing fine now Mel ,he's been digging up some of his back lawn to make a small veg plot ,he's put in potatoes ,runners ,carrots , some dwarf beans and sister has a row of sweet peas in there too, plus they have a little green house . But he did say that once or twice his leg has given way under him , he thinks it's the muscles in the leg still weak from all the sitting he had to do .
We've had the roast and it went down a treat ,we are both soooooo full ,hubby's having a doze now to sleep it off :-D
No Home Fires tonight :-(

Mandy my hand is getting better again but |I am still treating it. I forgot yesterday doing all the gardening so have done it today. The pimples have gone down and it has skinned again but I will keep it up for longer this time.
Gill I suppose it comes with the job for hubby to keep getting these things that other people bring into the home. Hope he feels better for his two days off and can enjoy them rather than feeling ill.
I have been chasing ancestors for someone today. Not been out in the garden as it is cold and windy and I ache today anyway. My hands ache and my toes where I was bending and pulling the weeds out.
I liked Liz's Lupins too such nice colours. The ones I had up the border need replacing and I have bought one new one this year but hav'nt planted it yet as I wanted to get the weeds out first. I also have to clear the patio off as oh wants to treat it with the Wet and Forget.
Jane I meant to say to you you should have let the gravestone dry and then put the wet and forget on and it would'nt have got mossy again.
Love to Janice and Larry~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How's Janice's knee now??
And Mandy how is your BIL's knee now too?

Oh dear Jane, good job you spotted the fleas before they got out of hand. Make sure you spray right into the skirting boards as this is where they like to lay their eggs. I think you're right to keep the cat outside for 24 hours to let the flee treatment work.
I think your meal sounds lovely Frank, I'd eat it all. I'd be grateful that someone else was cooking, I can't remember the last time someone cooked me a meal :-D :-D :-D.
Mel, you were so lucky the Fox didn't get your bantams.
The weather's brightened up here with lovely sunshine but still a bit windy, my washing is all finished now so I'm watching a film with Sandra ;-). I thought I'd take your advice Jane and have a bit of a rest watching TV for a bit.

Gill, sorry to hear your OH's not well again i hope he soon feels better and that you and Sandra don't get it too.
That was odd Jane finding the box of tablets empty ,perhaps they empty the display boxes but why have the security tag on them !! Did you take the box back ? Hope you have a nice day up with Janice and Larry ,the cat will be in seventh heaven with all the people to fuss over him :-D
Frank, i think that's a nice selection of veg they should be happy with that ,i would be , i would like the pud too .

Afternoon all,
Sorry I missed your Anniversary Jane, I posted early and didn't post again till now. <3 <3
Another bad night. Was wide awake at 5.05 this morning. Got up 6.30. All veg done for dinner before 9.00 am I haven't bothered with breakfast (naughty boy) !!! just didn't feel like any.
Ros has laid the table for dinner, and made a bowl of fresh mint sauce.
I mentioned that John complained about to much food. Well, I have done New potato's, carrots and fresh peas, cauliflower, and Runner beans, Roast Leg of Lamb and individual Yorkshires. If that too much, TOO BAD. Ros has done fresh strawberry's and cream for sweet. And of course there will be our cheese and biscuits. Mandatory Red Wine, and Ros bought a bottle of PORT for the cheese.
Nice photo's of the dog and barn Liz, the garden is looking good, with all those lupins. Ann, you certainly find some nice places to stop. All those men in Licra You saucy thing ;-) ;-) ;-)
You are taking a chance Mel, forgetting to put the girls away. Mr FOX will think Christmas has come early.
Trust your OHs virus clears up, and you don't catch it Gill.
Tony is home, and telephoned this morning to thank me for doing his lawn.
Going to have a quite hour before starting to get ready for J & C coming.
I must open the wine to let it breath !!!
