Afternoon all,

Sorry I missed your Anniversary Jane, I posted early and didn't post again till now. <3 <3

Another bad night. Was wide awake at 5.05 this morning. Got up 6.30. All veg done for dinner before 9.00 am I haven't bothered with breakfast (naughty boy) !!! just didn't feel like any.

Ros has laid the table for dinner, and made a bowl of fresh mint sauce.

I mentioned that John complained about to much food. Well, I have done New potato's, carrots and fresh peas, cauliflower, and Runner beans, Roast Leg of Lamb and individual Yorkshires. If that too much, TOO BAD. Ros has done fresh strawberry's and cream for sweet. And of course there will be our cheese and biscuits. Mandatory Red Wine, and Ros bought a bottle of PORT for the cheese.

Nice photo's of the dog and barn Liz, the garden is looking good, with all those lupins. Ann, you certainly find some nice places to stop. All those men in Licra You saucy thing ;-) ;-) ;-)

You are taking a chance Mel, forgetting to put the girls away. Mr FOX will think Christmas has come early.

Trust your OHs virus clears up, and you don't catch it Gill.

Tony is home, and telephoned this morning to thank me for doing his lawn.

Going to have a quite hour before starting to get ready for J & C coming.

I must open the wine to let it breath !!!

Morning Jane didn't see your there

Sandra and I are fine, I'm just a bit tired but a few early nights should sort that out. OH thinks he caught the virus from work as a lot of the staff have got the same thing. The doctor said he's ok to work and he's got tomorrow and Tuesday morning off anyway so should be ok soon if he rests.

No such luck having a day off and resting myself, I've got so much washing to do, so I'd better get on with it.......the sooner it's done the sooner it will be out of the way ;-) ;-) <3 <3

Hi I'm back

It's been raining here really heavily this morning, so glad my garden is finished as it's not very warm either.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY for yesterday Jane. Sorry I missed it, hope you had a nice time, even if you did do the cleaning first lol. Did you manage to get your money back for the empty packet your bought. It sounds like Thomas has really made himself at home and has now taken residence on your bed. Can I move in and be your pet, it sounds like a 5 star hotel :-D :-D :-D :-D. I don't think you have any worries of him going anywhere, he's far to comfy where he is <3.
How awful for the poor old lady having her place broken into, I hope they find out who did it and punish them. Is she alright now, it must of been a shock.

How are your in-laws now Ann. It must be such a worry for your OH and you. Glad to hear you had a great day out, but to come back to the message from your MIL, hope everything was ok.

I didn't get the pics of the finger puppets, can someone send them on to me please, I'd love to see them.

Love all the photo's everyone has sent, the one of the view Ann is lovely.

Hope you got your Aspidistra sorted Frank.
Off to do some washing now and catch up on some more housework

Morning/Evening All
Ooh Mel you will have to leave yourself a reminder note to shut in the Bantams LOL

Gill ,not another Virus for poor OH.I hope you and Sandra manage to miss this one.Sounds like an easy day is in order for you .Maybe a day watching tv.If your weather is likes ours it is not a day for the garden.

Well I am just waiting now for Janice and Larry to arrive so will not be around now until later today.'Thomas is in MY CHAIR totally in the land of nod..He has a bit of what looks like a streak of blood on his white bib,so I am guessing he has been a hunting in the night.Plus he didn't finish his breakfast.
I think I will see if i can get the veg sorted before Janice gets here. That will be one job out the way.

Ann that looked a lovely little Windmill you visited yesterday. Thanks for the pics.

See you all later

Morning all

Just got up after not having much sleep the last few days. OH has a virus, although he is feeling well enough to go back to work today. It started a couple of days ago so I've been running around looking after him and not getting much sleep. I've woken up really hungry so I'm going to get something to eat then read all the posts I've missed.

Morning all and evening Kim,

As I said in yesterdays post it atarted raining here last ni9ght and it is still raining here this morning so no "Up the Border" for me today.

And another thing....I forgot to shut the bantams in last night so they were running around at 5 am this morning. Not good news.......when I arose for a wee this morning early there were three huge rabbits outside th e bedroom window.

Well the rains put paid to my [plans for the day, what are you lot doing????

Thanks for the lovely pics again Ann. I love the expectant look on the dogs faces and the little trike idea is great for the little ones.

Did you all get Fiona's pic of the finger puppets?? Good were'nt they.

Annx Report 30 May 2015 21:29

Evening All,

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Jane. <3 How annoying to find the packet of Zirtec was empty! The security tag isn't much use if people can just take out the contents and leave the box behind! Methinks they'll have to rethink that one.

Nice to see you again Pat. :-) Are you still volunteering and finding good bargains?

Frank, I remember years ago I tried to buy an Aspidistra and couldn't find one anywhere, yet they are supposed to be tough plants. OH watched the match too.

Fiona, those finger puppets you made are great. I like the wobbly eyes!!

Liz, your place must really feel like 'home' now you are getting the outside buildings painted and the garden as you want too.

We went to a little art exhibition just north of Melton Mowbray today.........only to find it wasn't on!!! I had the advert for it with me which said this weekend but when I looked on their website, it was on last weekend! I wonder how many others turned up today? As we'd driven there, we decided to go to one of the garden centres and on the way followed signs to Wymondham Windmill as we hadn't been before. The windmill was open and you could climb to the top but none of the workings in it are left. It was swarming with cyclists as there is a lovely little tearoom there and it was nice eating our jacket pots with all those lycra clad men queuing to be served !! :-D I heard someone say that several cycling clubs meet up there regularly. Outside they have created a fenced off area with picnic tables around it and filled it with all kinds of trikes, pedal cars, pedal tractors with trailers etc for little ones to go and choose and ride on and all free. I thought what a good idea it was. We then carried on to 2 garden centres in Rutland and I got some pink Snapdragon plants and some 'cut and come again' lettuce plants for the tub. We had some icecreams and then came home to find a message from MIL. I will say no more!! lol.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JANE AND CHRIS <3 <3

Have had the pc off all day since my first posting. Been up the garden till 6.30pm then got sandwiches for tea and now just caught up with your posts.

You should'nt be cleaning on your anniversary Jane even if Janice and Larry are coming.

What a nuisance about the pills being empty!! Bet that was a shock when you opened them up.

Thanks to Liz for the pics. The barn looks really smart now Ian has had a tidy up on it. How much does it cost now to have a horse shod? I can't remember how much it was when I had my posy, Little Red.

When I was clearing out all the cupboards and drawers in the bedroom before we had it decorated I found a party bag that one of my two had from ` birthday party when they were little. It was at least 20years old !!!!!.All the little gifts were still in it LOL,including crayons, and a little plastic animal :-D
My bed side drawers have already become full of things that really shouldn't be in them.It seems to happen so quickly :-S
Chris's drawers on his side are so neat and tidy as is everything he has.He puts me to shame.

Have just had a good dust and polish in the lounge.Wiped over the floor out in the entrance hall ,watered Janice's Geraniums that are all sitting in there.Scraped all the moss from the drive near the house.it came up nice and easy.We get a lot out the front ,and nothing around the back.
I think I will just have a hoover around in here now and clean the downstairs loo.I know it is just my Sister and BIL coming tomorrow but I do like to have the place looking at least half decent.

When I was at Tes** this morning.I bought a big pack of Zirtec. There were non on the shelf at the pharmacy but there was one on display with a security tag on.So the assistant said to have that one.....Just opened the pack and it is totally empty :-S :-S
That was £9.90..I hope I am believed when I go back with this empty box tomorrow.Good job I have the receipt still.

Morning all, Evening Kim.

Very bright morning at 7.00 am. A bit of cloud around now with that horrible cool breeze.

Ros has just gone to meet Martine for their weekly chat. and get odd and ends from Morrisso#s She has a load of vouchers to spend, so I bet there will be stuff coming home that we don't need.

Last night Ros decided to tidy my bedside cabinet draws. She found 3 bottles of after shave, a miniature tool kit, two wallets, purse and kindle cover. They must have been Christmas presents in the passed and just put away. !!!!

I am going to re-pot an Aspidistra, this morning. The original is over 100 years old and I split it up some years ago and made FOUR. One of those look a bit sick. So Dr. Frank is going to sort it out. It's got TWO CHANCES !!!!

Thinking of doggy toys. J J the little puppy in Devon, has a basket full of toys that Conrad and Ella won on the pier. When he gets excited out come the lot, all over the kitchen floor. <3 <3

You will have to lets us know what you get Liz.

Cup Final today 5.00 pm. What a silly time. It was always 3.00 pm and I can remember we had one of the first televisions in our road, and Dad would make a "STAND" for the men to sit on.. The stand was half a ladder each side of the room with A VERY LARGE BOARD between the rungs. Their legs would dangle down to the floor. Us kids would sit on the floor or any spare chairs. Once in place, there you stayed until the final Whistle. !!! I will be down the pub with the lads, for a bit of banter and a few laughs ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

How's your pussy this morning Jane ??? where did he sleep last night ?? not on the bed I assume.!!! Is if safe to leave the summer house open for him. after your recent scare.??

Must get on and do a few jobs, then it's shower and shave and read of my book until Madam comes home with my lunch.

Those LAMB SHANKE were enormous last night, We could eat all the meat. The bones and remains have gone to Martine's dogs. !!

Morning all and evening Kim,

Quite a nice morning today with some sunshine and no rain yet.

Oh is out mowing and then he has to go and get some more petrol. It now looks like someone has cut silage in the orchard as the grass was so long.

Only have to go up the shop today and then I want to get on with the garden and sow some more seeds.
