I hope you enjoy your break with Hannah Jane and that you have a good journey. The weather didn't look bad for a few days when I saw the forecast this morning. :-) I'm off to bed now, so night night everyone.

OMG ,LiZ..I must have missed your post saying about your SIL having to have a Triple Bypass...I have just scrolled back through the posts to see .I am so sorry to have missed that. Thank heavens it went well and he is recovering well..I feel guilty now that I missed that post.Trouble is sometimes posts go up and we don't realise.A very long op for him ,but hopefully it has done the business and got things back on track for him. Scary time for all the family .He is a young man so will hopefully now lead a normal life again :-D Don't know if I will get on here in the morning. If I don't then I will be back again late on Monday :-D

Evening All,
Oh dear Frank, these roadworks are a nuisance and they seem to take such a long time to complete. I'm pretty sure OH goes on the M6 and M5. We seemed to miss problems but were travelling roads a bit higher up than you. I think we might have problems going back though as it is the Devon Show at the weekend. :-S Putting your feet up to watch a bit of telly sounds the best thing to do now.
Jane, we have a little sing song sometimes while we are travelling!! lol. I do have to stop him chatting sometimes though as it wears me out answering him. :-S We always travel with a couple of bottles of water, but don't bring any extra here as we know the water tastes fine. I hope you enjoy your days away with Hannah and that the Wet and Forget does a good job.
Poor little Matteo, it must be hard for them at first to understand that 'mama' will be coming back! It's good everyone has got over the nasty virus.
It looks lovely outside here now, still sunny with a few wisps of cloud and no breeze. I wish I had some binoculars as there are old mining buildings on the horizon. We had a less energetic day today, pottering about but I think I shall have an early night as my legs still feel achey from yesterday.
Mandy, I think it is a good idea to get the car wash people to do the inside. I have been wondering whether to do the same as it is really hard on the back reaching all the awkward spots, especially as my car is a 2 door one. I think I will start doing that as it doesn't cost that much. :-) Better to save my back for other jobs. :-)

Oh Gawd Frank. There was me thinking it would be a breeze of a journey.I am not looking forward to travelling tomorrow.I have lost count now of the number of times I have been stuck in jams heading down to the S West.If it is really busy I think I will suggest we stop off a couple of times at service stations to go to the loo. There's nothing worse than needing to go and being stuck in a jam for miles and hours.I don't think I have ever heard of a pub just selling Indian food.I bought half a dozen small bottles of water to pop in the car. My lips will be shut Frank. One whistle and I will be out LOL.I hope Hannah chills out a bit otherwise I will be tearing my hair out(or hers LOL)..She has been working very hard this week so now is time to just relax a bit.
Fiona ,that is great everyone is all fit and healthy once more. These Viruses are horrible.Little Matteo will soon be going into Nursery without a backward glance :-D and no more tears.Hannah used to do the crying thing and ooh doesn't it pull at your heartstrings.I don't remember James crying.
Yes I am all packed .But I couldn't stick to just the 2 pairs of shoes..I have 4 :-D :-D Well ~I thought what the heck ,we are going by car so I can chuck in anything I want :-D :-D.I think the weather is going to be ok(well thats what it seems to be at the moment).I don't mind just a few light showers,as long as they come and go quickly :-D
I have my bottle of Wet and Forget all ready ,shears and gardening gloves,so hopefully we can get the grave stone done tomorrow afternoon.
Frank is the arrival imminent ? I hope the birth goes well and I hear before I go tomorrow :-D Must attend to the oven now BBL

Late afternoon all,
What a terrible journey home. We left at 10.00 am got held up at Newton Abbot with road works. Had quite a good ride from there on, The M 5 and M 4 were busy but no hold ups. We turned off at Newbury and all was fine until we got to Abington. There we got in road works traffic for over an hour. Poor old Ros was wanting to stretch her legs. The first pub we found I said stop and we will have lunch and a break. WOULD YOU BELIEVE it only sold INDIAN FOOD. No worner the car park was empty. So we ploughed on to Towcester, went into Tesc# for some shopping, then made our way to the Carvery. We finally got home at 4.30 pm
Ros is flat out in the armchair, I have unpacked the car, put everything I can away, and put the dirty washing in the bin.
While we were stuck in traffic at Abington JAN RANG to say she was at Kettering Hospital to see Kerry, and she left after us. She goes up the M 5 onto M 6 then A 14 down to Kettering.
No news on the baby front yet. Will keep you posted.
Mel, What are YOU ??? fancy scratching a friends car. !!! Glad that it can be sorted by her brother.. Hope it's not expensive.
Today has been the best weather wise, and we have been stuck in a car all those hours :-( :-(
I am now in a pair of shorts, stripped to the waist. Don't get excited GIRLS. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Have a good trip Jane, and do be careful singing to all those songs, Hannah might throw you out of the car :-D :-D :-D
I looked down the garden to see if everything was O.K. The tomato's are bounding along with flowers up the stems. The Runner beans are going mad also. Both the lawns need cutting, but I have Green Thumb coming tomorrow to do the summer treatment. So I won't be able to cut for THREE DAYS. My poor little mower will struggle with that lot. !!!
Not doing anything tonight other than sit and watch a bit of TELE. and read my book.
Might see you later.

Afternoon All, Evening Kim.
Great week when everyone is well, amazing :-D
Katherine better she's got over the viral infection, I am feeling much better looks like I had the same Viral infection but not as bad as Katherine. glad I have more energy now,
Just had a phone call from Victoria, Today it took only 10 mins of Matteo crying when Mamma went in the next room for a coffee and left him in with the playgroup teachers, he goes on a Tuesday & Thursday so he is becoming more familiar with the people and surroundings. really felt for Victoria at other times, I remember it well with my girls and at the nursery where I worked, sometimes you have to prise them off their mothers, <3 <3
Off to the hairdressers this afternoon for a trim, it is really annoying when my fringe is over my eyes,

Morning/Evening All What a lovely morning.Really quite warm.I hope it stays like this as I have 2 loads of washing to go out. Hannah is shut in the study doing her work ,and then this afternoon we can't disturb her between 2 and 4 as she is doing a video conference.(I'm not entirely sure what that entails). I am off out to get a few bits to take with us tomorrow and to pick up some trousers I had shortened as I want to take them. Then it will be deciding what to pack.Must remember to fill the car up with petrol too and get some cash out. It's all go :-D
Frank will be well on the way back home now.I hope he is feeling brighter this morning. And Gill.I h ope you have had a better nights sleep and have got rid of that nasty headache.
I'm off now .BBL

Morning all and evening Kim,
Bright morning again here and not quite so windy by the looks of it. I have'nt ventured out yet!!
I have the library today and I must'nt forget and then I should go shopping.
Gosh I ache this morning. I think it was all the brushing out I did in the car yesterday instead of lugging Henry out I used the dustpan and brush and leaning in and on the seats to get down to the floor in funny postitions has'nt helped. You just don't think about it at the time till it hits you next day.
Di and I are supposed to be going to Rosemore either this week or next but she works so only has Friday free in both weeks. Weather permitting we may go tomorrow.

I have missed all 'The Detective 'programmes Ann.Must see if I can see them on catch up.Fitz was saying how good they were.
Oh those narrow country lanes Ann.I sometimes forget how the Devon and Cornish ones are SOOOO narrow. It isn't until I get back down there again I remember lol.The problem sometimes is if the sides of hedges haven't been trimmed back you don't realise that there might be a big stone wall just behind and you can pull in close when passing another vehicle and easily scrape the side of the car. It does sound like you have had a really nice day today, and all the better for having a good nights sleep last night :-D..I think you would have had to have something warmer than a T Shirt here today.Friday looks like it could be very warm...I will be sat in a car on the M5.Hannah has already told me I am not allowed to whistle to songs on the radio in the car.How dare she lol.I can see it is going to be a difficult journey :-DI like to sing too. That won't go down well either.I might just stick my head in my kindle and let Hannah do ALL the driving :-D James said just now ...."Now girls ,don't bitch".He reckons I am too sensitive and Hannah is too intolerant.I think he is right :-D The blasted Squirrel has emptied the window feeder twice today. It is a sneaky little thing and just nips in there when I am not looking.I have stocked up on bird food today so Chris can keep it topped up when I am away. :-D.

I would echo what Ann says Gill, but if you feel happier now you've made up your minds to move, then probably that's the best thing to do. Not sure about our friends loving Cassie to bits!!!! She's a bit lively and I'm not sure that they're into dogs!!!! We shall see!!! They're here for four days Jane, and then they're going to stay with some other friends for the rest of the week. We're taking them. Our poor ex Son in law has had to have a triple by pass operation at the age of 52!! He collapsed last Sunday and had the op yesterday. He's doing very well and should be out of hospital by the end of next week, but it's been a bit of a shock for us all. Watching George Gently, hope it's better than last weeks!!!

sorry Jane and Ann didn't see your posts there, sounds like you've both had a lovely day. Yes I think 2 pairs of shoes should be plenty Jane, so you're going to be back on Monday, let's hope the weather is nice for you, it's brightened up here today after a dull start and OH managed to cut the grass, I can't believe how fast it is growing. I love ice cream from Farms Ann, home made is much better than shop bought. Did you go in the hot tub in the end or didn't you bother.
Going to carry on watching my program now

Oh no Mel, are you alright??? Was your friend in her car at the time, is she ok. Was there much damage to the cars. Hope you are both ok.
It's amazing what you can find out when tracing your ancestors Liz, the only thing I find difficult is not knowing the reasons why people ended up in the Workhouse when they had family members who could of helped. Life was hard enough back then without the families falling out as well. Like I said before it's so sad when you hear some of these stories.
Going to watch give a pet a home, I think it's the last one. Safe journey home tomorrow Frank, hope you're feeling better now <3

Evening All,
Lordy, Lordy Mel, of all the cars to scratch you pick a friend's!!!!!!! Luckily it sounds like they will be able to fix it (and yours?) without much cost though which is fortunate. I must admit to shutting my eyes a few times today when OH has been crawling and squeezing past big vehicles on these narrow lanes with steep banks of rock each side!!
I slept really well last night after watching the final of the 3 part Detectives prog. It was really interesting about how the police went about dealing with the allegations of abuse committed by someone connected with Jimmy Saville and also other unconnected cases. It made me glad I don't have to make the decisions!
Today was warm and sunny enough for me to be in just a tee shirt so we went to a favourite garden, Glendurgan, which is in the next ravine down to the sea as Trebah which is another favourite. It is quite steep, but I managed ok and the effort was well worth it. After we had a jacket spud in the restaurant and then drove down to some pretty coves near Lands End. On the way, we called at a local farm to have some of their own icecream in their Ice Cream Parlour which was delicious. They have made a lovely enclosed courtyard with pretty wisteria hanging above where you sit. Then we drove further to a pretty bay and harbour and just sat lazing in the sun watching people and dogs on the beach.
Frank it sounds like you are a bit down just now so a visit to the doc might be a good idea. You haven't been able to get out much with the rain and wind which doesn't help. :-S
I hope you found some extra hours today Mandy!! lol. Did you get everything done he had planned?
Liz, it's good if you can sort a few things out and have some plans in place before your guests arrive. I bet Cassie will love them to bits!! :-D :-D lol.
I hope you feel less worried soon Gill. It won't help your health or to think clearly what's best to do. I would still do as suggested and get more advice next.
