The breeze outside is quite chilly today. I need to go and do some more gardening as everything is growing like mad since we had the rain. It rained that fine rain here last night.

Oh is having 40 winks.

I wonder how Cassie's getting on, been thinking about her all day, hope she did well.

It's nice when you get a good nights sleep isn't it Mel, although I didn't sleep in as long as you :-D :-D :-D. It was probably all the fresh air in the garden yesterday like you said.

Poor Hannah Jane, with her hair straighteners, hope she managed to get some more and that you both enjoyed yourselves at Fitz's.

Off to watch a film with Sandra, she loves films and has me recording loads of them. It's nice to spend time with her and we both like the same type of films so that's good. <3

It's I ME. Just popping in before getting showered and shaved.

I have been about for hours (Well it seems like it) Have fed the tomato's and made up 4 watering cans of feed for the neighbour if she need to come round and water. I have watered all the hanging baskets flower beds and about 30 pots plus Strawberry plants. Soaked my veg patch and fed the beans.

I have packed my case, and will pack the computer when I post this.

Yes Jane quite a chilly breeze here. Not really the weather for a garden party.. We will go and show willing, but if it turns too cold we will be homeward bound ' ;-) ;-) ;-)

I assume Ann is well on her way by now, lets hope she has a good and safe drive down.

Jane I suppose from where you are, that's not a bad way to go. Conrad keeps nagging us to go M 1 M 6 M 5 But it seems silly going that far north, we can be the other side of Oxford while driving to the M 6. Plus Ros likes going that way.

Has anyone heard from David or William ??? It seems ages since they were in touch.

Beautiful day here too but I don't know what its like out there as I hav'nt been out there yet!! Woke at 7.30 am for a wee and went back to bed and oh woke me at 11am. so I had a good sl;eep too. Must have been all the gardening I did yesterday. It certainly was'nt cooking dionner because I only did hot dogs.

Good luck for our little Cassie today and I hope she brings home all the prises. Also can't wait for pictures.

Gill doesn't it just feel so good to have a really good night sleep.Hopefully tonight will be another good one.
The wind is really quite strong here too ,but the sun is shining which is good as if it stays then we will be able to sit out on Fitz's terrace at lunch time,plus it is quite sheltered .

Hannah has an emergency ....Her Hair Straighteners have just packed up :-S :-S.Oh dear.It is the end of the world !!!!!..She is now looking to see where she can buy a new one.It is not going to come out of Mum and Dads bank either :-)

I hope the sun shines on Cassie today in the Puppy Competion :-D :-D

Mandy it is Ann's Windmill painting on the wall.Looks great doesn't it.

Frank ,yes Friday we go,but to DEVON not Cornwall.It's Ann going there :-D.I will probably go up the M6,turn off at Junction 2 and the follow the A46 Warwick,Stratford,Evesham and then join the M5 at the Tewkesbury turn .I think junction 11.There isn't much difference time wise from going the other way,and I know the way :-D.It is just less motorway driving.Hannah says she is quite happy to drive,but I will probably insist we share as it is a long journey.I expect we will stop off for a break around Bristol (can't think of the name of the Services now)I think the journey will take us about 5 hours or so.Plus it being a Bank Holiday Weekend it may take forever :-S
Just remembered the name of the services ..Gordano.Or we might go on to Taunton Services.

Yes Frank, it will be great if we all get some good weather next week, it will help us perk up our batteries.

One of my beading friends has asked me to photograph a cottage her ancestor lived in while we are in Cornwall. I'm going to Porthgwarra (Poldark country!!) and the cottage is in the next village. :-)

Evening All,

Well I'm shattered now! Just my tops to pack and that's it!! Yes Frank, that's me to a tee when shopping!! lol :-) We've soaked everything in the pots and greenhouse and OH did the rest of the hoovering and cleaned the bath while I was out this morning. We are going to Carnmenellis in Cornwall Frank, not far from Redruth. It's hard to find and in the middle of nowhere and it's where we've been before. The way we go it's a bit out of the way to Mel's, but I always bear in mind that if we did a detour to something on the north coast I could give her a ring and see if it was convenient to pop in.

I had another problem with my car this morning! OH says it wants to leave home as well now his old car has gone! When I started it up in the carpark outside where I go beading the seatbelt warning light came on and beeping started! I thought I just hadn't got my seatbelt fixed properly so redid it.....still the same. I tried it 4 times but it was still the same so I decided to carry on and drive the couple of miles home. Well the beeping got louder and louder.....and then stopped for a few seconds, then it started again and this carried on all the way home. Once I was home I switched the engine off, then started it up again and put my seatbelt on and it seemed fine. :-) Fingers crossed it was just a one-off blip!!!! :-S

That's a stroke of luck Gill and I hope you can manage to sort something out on Tuesday. I'm sure you will, but if you have any paperwork about it make sure you take it with you.

You've reminded me Mel that I need to pack my hayfever tablets!

Fitz has his CT Scan on abdomen in the morning,just another follow up thing from the Kidney Cancer he had.He is 3 years clear :-D and he is looking good :-D

Jane is it next Friday you go to Cornwall ?? We may well pass each other on the M 5.. What way do you go.?? We go via Oxford, Newbury. M 4 then M 5 to Torquay. With stops it takes us about 4 1/2 hours. But we are in no rush anyway. Jan it getting dinner on Sunday for 6.00 pm.

I got it wrong with the weather today, as you say the sun has been out most of the day. I also have had the conservatory door open and the lounge window. There has been a nice breeze blowing through.

Have just finished dinner. Roast Shoulder of lamb, Roast pots and parsnips. Broad beans fresh peas and carrots, cabbage and Brussels. To say the least I am blown out now. Ros has just finished clearing up.

We will watch the new Martin Clunes Programme tonight. He's very good with animals.

I have rung the PARTY GOERS, to see if I can help with anything NO. Just come with a bottle and enjoy yourselves. So that's me sorted.

This morning started off really cloudy but did brightened up to a lovely sunny afternoon ,we had to be at the hospital early for hubby's ear appointment ,we were nearly there when we had to queue on the A47 a bus had broken down !!
We managed to get past ok and got to the hospital well before time in fact hubby went in ten minutes before his appointment time.
But coming back the traffic was dreadful going into the city and son was caught up in it as he had his hospital appointment at ten o'clock ,he had to go more into the city at another hospital and there was no way he was going to get there so he had to ring and cancel his appointment for another day, they turned off and went shopping in Sainb*rys while the traffic cleared .
He said we passed him sitting in the traffic but we never saw him ,he said they both waved like mad too!!

Your sofa's look good Ann, i can just see you stretched out on it with your feet up after a hard day in the garden :-D i love your big red rug and it that your painting above the fire ?

Jane i've seen a lot of people put the artificial flowers on the graves, when you carn't visit the graves very often it's nice to know there's some thing to brighten it up a bit, you need some thing like a tent peg to hold them down if your just laying the flowers on the grave ,that might stop them blowing away .

That's good that you have found someone to talk too Gill she sounds just the right person if she deals with property , lets hope she can help you to sort things out so you can stay in your home you love .

Of course Cassie will win how could she not !! she's such a little darling :-) if she doesn't then the judges must be blind !! :-D

Gill that is good news for you. If the girl specailizes in property dealings all the better. I hope you can get this sorted so you will all feel safe for the future.

Been up on the border but hav'nt made much headway. I went up to put two bunny rabbit plants in but as I tried to dig a hole there was all twitch there so that had to come out. So a job that should have taken me two minuets took me three quarters of an hour. I also tied the climbing rose back up the wall and cleared a lot of last years dead growth now all I have to do is go up there and pick up all the dead stuff I cleared.

Oh Gill, that is good news. At least you'll be able to get to grips with exactly what your options are and be able to make an informed decision. Good too that you've talked to your daughter and to know what she is fully aware of the implication of any serious debt she might get into. Fingers crossed that you can stay put the house that you are clearly happy in, in peace!!
Tomorrow we're going to a local show with our son and his partner. We're taking Cassie,(of course!) There is a puppy show that we want to put her into, you never know, she may well be a super star!!!

Hi Everyone

Just a quickie to bring you all up to speed, I've spent all day trying to sort out this property situation.

Had a good long chat with Michelle online and she has assured me that she won't go into debt and more importantly she won't go into debt jointly with anyone else, she doesn't like the idea of having a joint bank account with any future husband, so there's no need for me to worry. That's all good and well but isn't a guarantee, so I've been chatting with my mum and guess what ????????

Mum's neighbour's daughter is a solicitor specialising in property and has a free morning session where anyone can go and chat with her, just around the corner from where I live on Tuesday morning, so OH and I are off there to try and sort this mess out, or at least get a better idea of what it's all about. Although I'm still a bit anxious I do feel a bit more positive, so hopefully we can get it sorted out next week.

I've not eaten all day and feel very hungry so I'm off to start dinner now. I've not read todays posts yet so will do that later. I just wanted to share my good news with you all. Let's hope things turn out ok then we can take the property off the market and stay here happily :-D :-D :-D.

Got it Frank :-D :-D Thank you.I will get Chris to mix me up some.I will take a good hard brush to give the stones(my Nana) is next to Mum and Dad,and some big scissors or something to trim around the edges.I think I will go to the Garden Centre here and get some silk /artificial flowers.There is no point me putting fresh flowers as they will die and there is no-one to remove them.Also the Church is right on top of the cliff by the beach and if it gets very windy things just fly away.So I will find a big stone or rock and try and weigh down anything I put there.
Hannah has got the details now of how we get the key for the Chalet we are staying in and the directions.I know where it is really but best to have directions anyway.If the weather is nice I think we might take one of those disposable BBQs for one evening.
(I may have already said that,so apologies if i am repeating myself :-D)
Well it is another evening when I am just cooking for us two.Hannah is going out with her friend Hannah,and James is picking Jess up from Northampton Station at 8-8.30 so they will pick something up on the way home.
It is still a nice evening.Patio door open,but I have pulled it to a bit as the Squirrel is about .I have just chased it off the window feeder twice :-S
