Afternoon all

What a wonderful hot sunny day we've got here, so much so I've finally managed to get into the garden which is a good thing as we have 2 more viewing's in the next week. OH has cut the grass and is going to trim the hedge later.

Hope your OH managed to get the lawn mower fixed Mel.

The pics of Cassie haven't arrived yet Liz, there are 2 L's in my surname, have you put 1, that might explain why they're not coming through, just a thought <3 <3.

What a night Frank, did you get your nap, let's hope your body clock isn't going to be all over the place now. It can happen if you have the odd nights disrupted sleep. I guess it'll be an early night for you and Ros tonight then.

Wonder how Jane is. I hope the weather is nice for her and Christ and that they are having a lovely time.

Well, what a palaver when going to vote, I explained Sandra was special needs and could I help her vote like I did last time, but was told in no uncertain terms NO. So the man there had to help her. Sandra knew who she was voting for but needed some help reading, I explained that all I needed to do was point where she had to put her X but he still insisted on going to the booth with her and reading it out for her. I thought it was suppose to be secret, him reading it out meant anyone could here what was said, and then to top it all off he told me, after Sandra had finished, that I could of helped her if I had filled in a form he had on his desk, to say I would be assisting her. Anyway it's all done now but poor Sandra was so embarrassed and wasn't very happy at having to go and put her X in the box with a complete stranger.

After we voted we called round at mum's, my sister was there so we all had a lovely afternoon chatting in the garden, the weather's been so warm today and it was lovely to sit and relax outside.

Going to start dinner now, we're all getting hungry.

Just back from putting my XXX on the paper. That's THAT FOR ANOTHER five years

Sun and showers here this afternoon, so nothing has got done, apart from getting a Chicken Casserole done and the veg.

I feel so tired, my eyes don't seem to want to focus. I am making so many mistakes typing this, I have to keep going back to correct it :-D :-D :-D

Hasn't the OH got a spare belt Mel, It's not like him not to have a backup.???

The trouble with last night's episode was that there was nobody you could stop and ask. There's not a lot of people around at that time of night. So we had to get there the best we could.

I suppose Chris and Jane will be sitting sipping a glass or two of wine by now. Does anyone know what time they will get there ???

I'd better get out in the garden this afternoon then if tomorrow isn't going to be so great. Lots of tidying up to do out there.

Frank and being a man of leisure ;-)you can have a little nap this afternoon, although I find it really difficult to sleep during the day.

Hope Jane has a lovely holiday, I'm too late to wish her bon voyage I was out shopping and voting this morning. I shall be glad when it's all over and we don't have to see all those politicians faces on the the TV. My mum always used to say you'll get pimples on your tongue if you lie, bet they've got loads.

Such a cute little puppy Mandy, like Gill I'm more a cat person, I like dogs but wouldn't have one, they need a lot of looking after.

Right, I'd better get in the garden while it still looks bright out there.

Washing on the line and another lot chugging away now.

Frank you had a dreadful tiem picking them up. I bet they wondered what had happened to you.

Oh has come in as one of the belts on the mower has gone and he is cross as he wanted to get it all mowed today as it won't be as nice tomorrow so he tells me. I get on much better when he is in the garden and I have the house to myself but hey ho.

Morning all (YAWN) Evening Kim.

What a palaver last night turned out to be. We set of at 12.30 am We are only half an hour away from Luton Airport. Going down the M 1 there were diversion signs saying Jcn 10 and 10a were closed. We had to go off at Jcn 11 and follow the signs.

Some CLEAVER BASTA#D had altered the diversion signs, and we went on a tour of Luton and Dunstable. Finally getting to the Airport at 2.45 am. John and Carolyn were frozen by the time we pick them up. We dropped them off about 3.30 and came home. We sat for a while to get our breath back, and was in bed by 4.00 am. We were up again by 8.00 as Ros has "Stitchery Do" at 9.15.

All I have done is have a wash and dress, had two cups of tea. NOW ready for a KIP.

The wind has died down here, but it's still cold outside.

Mel I doubt it will be a restful time lol it is such a busy and hectic city and noisy too.At least our Hotel is in a nice quiet street
Chris is having a look at magazines somewhere so I am in charge of looking after the luggage

Nice sunny morning her for a change and oh is out on his mower going around in big circles sort of. He likes to do it in the morning if poss as the sun goes down over the west side and its gets cold over there.

Well iour Jane is well on her way by now and I hope they both have a nice restfull time. I am sure they will. Lots of places for them both to visit by the sounds of what was said in earlier posts.

Mandy have the children had their hedgehogs? Did they know they were going to get them and what have they called theirs please? Hebe is on the printer as I type.

Feel better today at t he mo and am itching to get in the garden today or if its a bit cold still out in the shed. I have some cosmos that need potting on and my Basil.

The weather has been terrible here today, nothing new there then ;-) ;-).

Well, I've finally watched the whole series of Poldark. It's taken me all day but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hope you enjoy your time away Jane let's hope the weather is better than it's been here <3.

The photo's of your garden are lovely Ruby and the one's of your water features too Frank. Which one did they chose in the end.
I can imagine what John said Frank, so I gather you'll be there to pick him up at 1.30am then. That's going to be a late night for you all.

Was there more pics of Cassie? I didn't get any :-( :-(.

Love the pic of Barney, Mandy, How cute, they're my favourite dogs, I love their ears especially when they run, the way they bounce up and down at the side of their face. It's so funny. I'm more a cat person myself, but some dogs are so adorable aren't they? Not to keen on German Shepherd's though, after being bitten by one when I was three years old :-(.

I don't know where my earlier posting went. I made some nice comments about our Jane's handbag. :-D :-D

Had a call from John earlier, their flight is delayed 2 hours, so won't be arriving till 1,30 am. I said don't worry, sit in the lounge and we will pick you up about 9.00 am. I won't repeat what he said. So it seems we will have a late night. :-| :-| :-|

Just going to get a sandwich and a beer, then a doze for a while (I HOPE)

A WASHING MACHINE .That must be a huge boost with lots of childrens clothes ..But where do you dry them??.Liz you will have to take them up on the offer :-DI have a wonderful photo of our 2 and Fitz's boys when they were young on Fitz's boat.I must search it out and send it to you.it one of my favourite pics :-D

Well the election tomorrow ..We will miss it all .I usually love sitting up half the night watching all the results coming in.It seems like it is going to be a very close call.

I have a funny feeling that the toad in the hole might be a disaster tonight.I don't know why.I am so looking forward to the next 6 nights not having to think about what to cook :-D I think that is one of the best things about going away .Someone doing the cooking and putting it down in front of you and then clearing the dirty dishes away :-D :-D
All I will be bothered about is that James remembers to feed the birds.

Glad you got them in the end :-D they are good those rope toys ,they last ages and you can wash them .

Yes Jane, partners boat is a 26 ft Cabin Cruiser! It's really well fitted out with 3 single bunks one end and a double bunk the other! loo, shower, wash basin, galley with gas cooker, fridge, and a washing machine!!! They have offered it to us for a weekend in the summer - we'll see!!

Ahhh Mandy I have just seen Barney :-D :-D :-D..He is gorgeous.All these new pups.!!!!
