Morning all and evening Kim,

A great day again with blue sky and not a puff of cloud.

Have to take my car in for its MOT today but it is only up the road a bit to my little man.I drive there pick up his lad who then drops me back to the c ar park and then takes the car back with him and I walk down our drive.

Going to clear out some pots from last year and sow some purple podded peas and maybe transplant the cosmos.

I am all showered dressed and ready to go off to Specsav** .I thought I would get there for 9,but have just checked opening times and they don't open until 9.30 !!!!!
I suppose I could still go and have a look in the shoe shop next door :-D :-D :-D

What a lovely morning again.Have sent a pic of the mist over the fields earlier.It was quite a sight :-D

Yes Jane it's the cadbur*'s cake. I didn't get a choice in buying it today, she practically frog marched me down the cake row of the shop. I only went in there for a call of nature. She said I'll just show you the cake I'd like mum, well, that was it, I ended up buying it today instead of next week. Then she showed me which pizza's she wanted. I said is there anything else you'd like madam, so she started laughing. She's been doing the countdown to her birthday for the last 10 days and promptly told me today it's only 7 days. Anyone would think I wasn't there when she was born lol, bless her.

Off to watch Britain's Horror Homes now, I've got it on pause.

Oh I love flakes.Is it a Cadbu** one Gill.My mum loved those Chocolate flakes.She would buy a pack of 4 and they would be gone in seconds !!!.This was when she had dementia.Chocolate seemed to take over her life.It would be Flakes, Turkish Delight Choc and Walnut Whips.Plus all the chocolate biscuits she bought.Her cupboard would be full of them.
Mandy I think sea air does help with getting a good sleep.Not when you live near the sea but when you visit the coast.I find when I go back down to Plymouth I do find myself feeling sleepy early evening.It never happened when I lived there.I always remember my Aunty Elizabeth who lived in Scotland who when she came to stay with us could barely keep her eyes open .She always said it was the Sea Air :-D :-D
There is nothing like that clean clear sea air :-D.

I have the two fattest Wood Pidgeons parading around the patio doing the 'courting thing' and in the bird bath there are a Robin and 2 Sparrows having a good splash :-D
Chris and James have eaten ..I will have my dinner in a few minutes.

Just seen Cat Stevens on the One Show!!!!!.I would not have recognised him.But he isn't looking bad.I had all his LP's back in the days :-D..

yes I'm hoping to buy a 3 and a 0, if I was to put 30 individual candles on the cake, I'd need the fire brigade on stand by lol

She's going clothes shopping on her birthday but she makes her own cards so likes pretty much anything to do with that. I bought her 500 stickers, the Glee DVD she wanted plus Dophin 2 DVD and now 86 CD as the one she had, one of the CD's was scratched. Then I'll give her some money to spend on her shopping trip as well.

She will be pleased with her cake then Gill and as you say it has a good date on it ,will you put candles on ? a three and a zero perhaps .
Is there any thing special she would like for her birthday or doesn't she mind what she has ? i'll get a card in the post for her too :-)

I've got a flake cake for Sandra, she's been asking for one for weeks. It's got 11th May date on it, but it won't last that long. :-D :-D
She can't wait for her special birthday and to see her sister again.

Good job I mentioned the card then Jane. Sandra will be cuffed to receive your card <3 Hope you manage to get your new sunglasses alright. You're probably right, once you've bought the new ones, the old ones will turn up.

Let's hope there won't be any fisty cuffs in your close Ann, although I can see why your neighbours are so upset, surely the builders can't just take someone else's land.

Sounds like you and Ros are very busy in the garden Frank. I love the photo's you sent. It's easy to lose track of time once you start gardening though, I'm the same.

Watched "Safe House" a bit slow to start with but we soon got into it and are looking forward to the next one.

I'm getting really tired now, think I'll be having an early night tonight with not having much sleep last night.

Off to find some cream for my thumb, I burnt it getting the pie out of the oven. I don't know, what am I like. :-D :-D :-D

Another lovely sunny warm day here ,i had a job to wake up this morning i think it must have been all the sea air we had yesterday ,hubby said he slept well too .

I got lots of jobs done today ,even had a good tidy in the shed ,hubby will chuck all sorts just inside the door and when i want to get to the freezer its like climbing Mount Everest !! :-D
I chuck all sorts out when he's not about ;-) he says it things he might need ...i call it truck !!! :-D

I think sleep is the best medicine Gill and now your OH has his antibiotics i'am sure he'll soon be feeling better too .
I expect Sandra is getting excited about her birthday , what sort of Cake did you get her ?

Frank your garden is looking colorful ,and all that blossom on your tree ,it will look like it's been snowing when it starts to drop .
Yes i had the email come through twice too .

It's so annoying when you carn't find things , can you remember when you last had the sunglasses ,could they be in a handbag or in the car ! oh no they might have been in your old car :-0 :-( i keep a pair just for in the car .
I hate that twitchy eye feeling and no matter what you do it doesn't stop until its ready too .

A blessed fly has bit me on the leg ,it's very itchy i'll have to get the cream out , we had a wasp in the conservatory the other day must be the warmth bring them out .

Frank I got 2 emails with same pics :-D..Sometimes I get an error thing when sending a multi group email and it happens when it just might not go through to one person.But seems to go through fine for everyone else.

I do get grumpy sometimes,not often thankfully.Just silly things that annoy me.The other thing today was I tried ringing the beauty salon to get my eyebrows and few chinny hairs dealt with before Paris.The salon is closed until the 2nd May !!!!.So I can't ring again until then.Chances are all appointments will be booked out so it might have to be a tweezer job :-S .

Hopefully things will still be good enough on thursday for your Marquee party.I think the weekend looks pretty horrible though.

Jane those photo's were sent this morning. When I turned the pooter on a little while ago there was an error notice. Telling me to cancel the posting and try again, so that's good that they are coming through. I can't think of you as Mrs GRUMPY. lol. Enjoy your lunch tomorrow. I am sure the weather will be fine. I hope it is for us Thursday Evening sitting out in a Marque, all we need will be a downpour.!!!

Since then, I have cut the lawn and down the edges. Ros has been in the garden since she got back from Tesc#s planted MORE PLANTS, re-potted others and is now down the bottom of the garden weeding the stone area by the pond and greenhouse,

Roast Chicken in the oven, smelling good. Jersey royal potato's fresh greens, carrots and peas.

Carolyn didn't mention how many they saw but they also saw Dolphins, I think the Whales were Minkie's

No cooking for you then Ann, all this eating out. Your cooker must look like new :-D :-D :-D. I always KISS THE GROUND she walks on. When does your OH find time for anything else with all the footie matches ?? How are the fingers now, getting better I hope.

I can see there is going to be "FISTY CUFFS" in the Close. Surely the builder must know the trouble he is stirring up. and the residents will do all they can to upset his plans. Lets hope the Council take control of him pinching their land.

Frank your garden is so colourful :-D :-D :-D.I see your Daffs are still blooming too.Ours have finished now.Nearly everything has to start from scratch flower wise here so it will be a while before we get many blooms..Our Broom is out and smells so strong (it doesn't go down too well with me) :-S
I just took some pics of the garden but it is too late in the day and a lot has shadow.I will try again earlier in the day.

My friend Di called in this morning and we had a coffee out in the garden. We looked in my shed at ll the seedlings coming up and I gave her some short beans to sow.

Did a bit of watering and some washing which is blowing nicely on the line. Oh has mowed the grass after planting the two clematis.

Been up the road to the shop for cigs and coffee and now I am going to do a bit of washing plant pot holders out so I can put them away in the shed for when I need them again.

Also going to sow some of my purple podded peas saved from last year. I like to keep them going..........

Fiona I hope Matteo gets on ok at the speech place. My SIL's youngest took a long time to speak properly but it came in the end and he has done so well at school and now has a very good job.

Oh heck an the neighbours are getting very serious now.There might be razor wire up soon !!!!!.I do feel so sorry for them though.I wonder what reasonable force is???

I am very cross with myself.I thought I had kept my pair of varifocal sunglasses as i m going to need sunglasses for when we go away.But I can't find them anywhere.The pair of specs I have which are light reactor ones aren't dark enough.So i will have to go in to specs**** tomorrow and choose a pair of sunglasses frames and hope that they will be ready by the 7th.....what is the betting once I have new ones I will find the old ones!I don't really want to have to fork out more money for more specs but needs must.I just can't think where else I can look .So I am now a Mrs Grumpy :-S

What a lovely day it has been and still is.Garden all watered now,the bird bath has had a good blasting to wash out all the poo that the dirty Woodpidgeons leave in there.Why do they have to do that :-S :-S.WE wouldn't do that in our baths would we :-)

Frank did they get to to see many Whales.I would love to go Whale watching.I did see once.It was when we were on the Norwegian Cruise and in the North Sea.We were having breakfast and I spotted it (quite way of).I got all excited and shouted OOH A WHALE....Everyone left their tables and came over to the window side to have a look.Even though it was a way off it was quite exciting :-D

Next doors German Shepard and the doughty other side of them were having a right old barking session at each other just now.(it happens al the time ) and can go on for ages......We just heard the man who lives 4 doors up from us shout out...SHUT THOSE BLOO** DOGS UP .I don't blame him as it does get very annoying.It's all very quiet now LOL PEACE.

Ann I wanted to see that film but we are away when it is on so will miss it.Was it good?
Chris is going tomorrow to see one called Still Life.I will be going down to see Fitz then.Hopefully it will be nice enough to sit out on his terrace,although I think it might be a bit cloudy.

I watched Safe House last night but fell asleep part way through so I'm all confused.I will have to watch it again on Catch Up.

Here I am. :-D Full of the favourite carvery and a nice sticky toffee pud to round it off with. We went to the cinema yesterday morning to see A Little Chaos and I had 2 scoops of my favourite peanut butter cup icecream. :-) Then I put some plants in and did some pruning in the back garden while OH did some tidying and weeding. We were catching up with episodes of Coast Australia last night while I did some beading. We were out in the garden again this morning for an hour before we went out. Back and knees were moaning then and still are but I called and got some runner beans and mini cue plants on the way back!!

Jane the Cambridge Botanic Garden has been on my list of places to go for a few years, since before OH retired! I used to pass it every time I went to a focus group meeting when I worked, but by the time you have done a day's work you just want to get home after. I thought the same, that I would want to go a bit later in the year, although I bet a lot of the alpines are in flower now. Glad you feel better now after the prawns!!!! I sometimes have scampi, but not very often. The penfriend I had from teenage lived near San Diego at El Cajon. OH says he has heard that some schools here have a weapons policy! Our window cleaner is just the same these days.....never know what day he will turn up! We go out and don't wait for him now. It's him that loses out as he can only do the front windows then as the gate is locked.

Another sign has gone up in the opposite neighbours front garden where the opening will be. This one says says Keep Out! We will use reasonable force!! OH says the close is beginning to look like Bosnia. The Inspectorate will be coming next Monday about the plans for the 3 properties and to look at the site. It will be interesting to hear what they and the builder say.

Sorry to hear your hubby has the bug Gill. Rest is the best thing as you say to help you recover so hopefully he won't be ill as long as you were. Can you get the Animal Planet channel? There's a programme called 'Too Cute' that Sandra would love. It's about families of different breeds of kittens and puppies. They follow them from birth till they go to new homes.

Mandy I bet it was lovely at the coast. All that nice fresh air and sunshine and lovely pasties as well! I shall be having some of the cornish ones next month.

Liz. it is a good idea to get Cassie used to being around Merlin. She won't fuss about other horses then when you are out and he is obviously used to dogs from having them before. Many times people would let their dogs come barking after my ponies and be nipping at their heels which was not at all safe when you were on the road in traffic!

I think I am off to the Grantham retail store now I've had a sit down. OH is off to a local match later.
