Afternoon all

Lovely warm sunny day here today. I've been out most of the day. Went to the doctors with OH, although I stayed in the car, he's got a throat and chest infection so now has antibiotics. He's told work he'll be back on Friday as he had tomorrow and Thursday off anyway.

I've tax the car and sent the anniversary card off to Australia for my friend. I've also bought some tomatoes plants 4 for £1.99 and at the same place they have a recycling area with plant pots in that you are allowed to take so we got a few of them and re-potted the tomatoes and my cuttings.

I needed a bit of shopping and I picked up Sandra's birthday cake and card. I got a really good card all about what was happening the year she was born with "Happy 30th Birthday" on it. She wants to keep all her cards so this will be a nice one to look back on, and finally we went to OH's mum's although I thought that was a bit to much for OH, of course being a man he said he would be alright but was actually glad to get home as he was starting to feel unwell again, so we're doing nothing else for the rest of the day, just going to watch "Safe House" before I make the dinner. Stake pie and mash for OH and I and stake pie and chips for Sandra.

Sandra had speech therapy went she was little and it's really good Fiona, so hopefully it'll be just as good for Matteo. 2 1/2 and dressing himself what a clever boy, they're so cute at that age.

Hope you manage to sort your pics out soon Mel, we'd all love to see them.

Yes we did have a late night last night Frank and an early morning today so an early night for us all tonight I should imagine.

I don't blame you Jane for staying put when the window cleaners turned up. Good job you weren't in the shower at the time :-D :-D.

Off to watch a bit of TV now Safe House is a callin ;-) ;-)

Afternoon All, Evening kim

Another lovely sunny day, still a chilly wind though if you are out of the sun, washing on the line, great to see it blowing and smelling fresh.

Victoria & Daniele took Matteo to see the Development therapist on Friday, seems he is doing well, only his speech is on the slow side and certain words are only recognizable to his closest family. but every other thing is good, he is 2 1/2 now and can put on his trousers, shoes and sometimes his own jacket.
Victoria is going to take him to a speech drop in centre on a Thursday afternoon, from 2-3 pm, I will need to pick up Sofia from school and take her home as Victoria will not make it back in time.

Morning all and evening Kim,

Nice day again and oh and I have been planting the clematis we bought yesterday, up the arch he made last year with the white seat under it.

I must learn how to put my pics in the right place on this pc and then I can send some again.

I tried to send a video the other night but it took ages to load and never really got there so I think the new cameras pictures are too big to send on emails. Sorry.

Morning to you all, Evening Kim,

From your FB page Kim, you are having a rough old time with the weather. Keep SAFE and don't risk being blown over.

A beautiful spring morning here, blue sky's and a light breeze. I am in my shorts already for the garden. The back lawn looks like it needs a mow, so that's a job for later.

Ros is popping off to Tesc# and dropping some Runner plants and snow drops to Valerie. She will also call at Carolyn's and feed the DUCK. and water her pots.

Had an Email from Carolyn this morning. They went WHALE watching yesterday, the sea was nice a calm, and they enjoyed themselves.

Mel, My beans are all fleeced up, I did that when I put them in. They are well protected as well, as they are on the fence with the shed one end and the greenhouse the other.

You did have a late night Gill, I was all tucked up at 11.00 and we didn't get up this morning till 9.00 am, Lazy beggar's. but it made a change for me, as I am normally up early. I did get out at 7.00 am and the sun was beaming through the lounge window..

I watched "SAFE HOUSE" last night, and am thinking it should turn into a good serial over the next few weeks.

What are you all up to today ???

Hi all

Love the pics of the jackets Mandy, you got them done quickly and the girls certainly look pleased with them.

Didn't go out in the end today, all three of us fell asleep, not like us at all. Sandra is ok she doesn't seem to have caught the bug and I'm ok now I had a few hours sleep this afternoon, even OH is feeling a bit better now, so sleep must be the best medicine. Sandra was just tired because she'd had to many late nights. :-D :-D.

Sorry to hear you had a bad tum Jane, hope it's all cleared up now. I recorded Safe House so will watch that with Sandra tomorrow.

I can think of better exercise than tripping over a tray of plants Frank. At least you didn't hurt yourself, just watch where you're walking next time and you should be ok.
If Safe House is only on for 4 weeks then maybe you could record them and then watch them all at once, that way you'll keep up with what's happening.

Sounds like Cassie's having fun with her training, I'm sure Merlin will get used to her in time and won't mind sharing his field with her.

Been spending then Mel, at least you got everything you wanted and can now get on with all the jobs you want to do. I must get my tomato plants soon. Mum gave me some flower seeds the other day and I have some over from last year so I'll be planting them soon,

I just want to make sure all the frost has gone first, this time of year we can still get the odd frosty night so have to wait a little longer before planting seeds if I want them to germinate. All my cuttings have done well in my kitchen over the winter months and now need potting on so that's another job waiting for me to do.

Well, OH is tired now, he was like me and wasn't tired earlier so it looks like we're having a late night. Must tax the car tomorrow and get the anniversary card sent off to my friend in Australia or she won't get it on time

See you all tomorrow
Night Night

I don't know Frank and Mandy missing yesterday and now Ann today.

Just had an easy tea toniight as we ate out. I think I like it better eating a main meal during the day as you seem to get more of an evening.

Fed all my hostas this afternoon and my three toms plants. I don't know where Iam going to put them this year, I think maybe in the front of my shed. I wanted to get three big pots for them today but oh was'nt too patient today.

Liz I can just see Merlins face with Cassie in his field in his space. He got on well with Millie though did'nt he?

Frank there may be a frost tonight so have yu covered up your beans?

Jane

Jane Report 20 Apr 2015 20:43

Ha Ha !! Liz I bet Merlin wondered what on earth the little creature was being trained in his field :-D :-D Virtuous and knackered sounds like it has been a very successful day :-D
I feel quite 'virtuous' too as I have got quite lot done today before the tummy thing.
I have decided to sleep in the spare bed tonight just in case I need to get up quickly.I can use the main bathroom instead of the en suite and waking Chris.
Plus I want to watch the new programme Safe House that starts at 9 and as I want to be in bed by then and we don't have a TV in our bedroom then that is where I need to be :-D
I think we will give it a miss tomorrow going to the Botanical Gardens in Cambridge. It might be better to go a bit later this year when there will be more blooms.Maybe in a month or two.Chris said he might go on one of his jaunts .
Where is Ann???

Frank

Frank Report 20 Apr 2015 20:34

Evening all,

Watering all done, as I was putting the hose away I TRIPPED over a tray of plants that a certain person had left on the slaps outside the greenhouse. I flew up the garden, instead of down, when I trip over the step. Gave me a bit of exercise :-D :-D :-D

I bet it was the CHILLY that upset your tum Jane, if the prawns had been kept in the fridge, they should have been fine. Most Saturdays Ros buys me either a seafood platter, or prawns/mussels which I have Sunday evening. They have never played me up. Maybe I have a cast iron stomach !!!

Can't say I missed you Mandy, as I had a day off also. Yes I suppose it's a bit early for CRABS. Did you have your F & C ??

Saturday night Ros fancied F & C she always has Plaice. Being a good boy, I just had a few of her chips with Ham and Baked Beans. NO BATTER for my TUM.

It's been a beautiful day today, got lots of odds and ends done. that weren't to tiring. Plus I rested in between jobs.

New series starts tonight "SAFE HOUSE" the only trouble is it's in FOUR PARTS, and I tend to forget what happened the week before (OLD AGE I HEAR SOMEONE SAY) My reply is, YOU WILL GET THERE SOME DAY :-D :-D :-D

Lewis rang tonight. He has been very busy with homework, and was having extra tuition during his half term. One of the teachers came into school throughout the holiday to help those who needed extra help. How nice was that. I believe it was for only two hours in the mornings, but he had to give up his time.

Not out tonight, so I am in my dressing gown, and going to have a couple of hours T.V.

See you in the morning.

Oh Jane, I would never eat shellfish that had been left overnight even in the fridge (and I love it!) as it can be be very dodgy and needs eaten there and then so to speak!!
I remember being very ill donkeys years ago after eating crab that had been bought the day before and put in the fridge! everyone else who had it was ill too, so although it didn't put me off, I am extremely wary of shellfish and it has to be very fresh.
Another lovely day, washed the small veranda outside the back door as it was very green and slightly slippery, so that was a good job done, then we did some 'weeding round Millie and Ruby's grave, washed the kitchen floor(!!) and finally cleaned the oven! So I feel very virtuous!!! Cassie has had two nice walks today, and OH took her into the field for some training(!!) much to Merlin's slight bewilderment!!
This afternoon OH and I sat in the garden (while the baby played! This evening we're all knackered!!
Easy supper tonight and an early night!!

Lovely day by the Sea then Mandy :-D.I can picture the sea sparkling with the sun shining on it.You had PASTIES..I can't wait until Hannah I I go down to Plymouth next month.I will be going to a favourite shop on the morning we come home and will have a shed load of Proper Cornish Pasties to put in my freezer :-D :-D.You just can't get a decent Pasty here.Well not the real thing.
I bet the girls looked lovely in their new jackets.Looking forward to seeing the pic :-D

Chris and James have eaten .Mine is keeping warm for now.My tum feels fine now .I don't think I have anything left .I just thought I would leave eating until a bit later,to be on the safe side. But I don't actually feel too hungry just yet.

Looks like your pic has just come through Mandy ...will have a look now

Oh what a great photo

Evening all,

I too had yesterday away from the pooter , son came for coffee in the morning ,it was nearly lunch time before they went ,i gave the girls their Jackets yesterday they did look nice in them, son took a photo so will pass it on later .
Then in the afternoon we went to see sister and BIL they were busy on the garden ,they have decided to dig a little of their garden up to plant some veg.

Then today hubby had a day off so we have been to the coast ,it was beautiful there today the sun was quite dazzling on the sea ,we had a nice walk round Sheringham we bought some Pasties to eat and drove round the coast to Cley , all the ducks came to the car as we were eating ,i dropped some thing out the window for them and all the old Sea Gulls swooped at the car !! :-D one nearly came in the window !!

Oh Jane i had some prawns once when we went out for a meal and within ten minutes of having them i was in the restaurants loo ,i had to come home i felt so bad .
You'll know not to touch them again now :-( hope you soon feel better . Chelsea carn't eat Prawns she has been poorly after having them which is a shame as she loves them .
No Crabs today Frank , bit early for them yet ,next month they are about .

Mel i will be posting some thing prickly to you tomorrow :-D i hope it doesn't get too squashed in the post , look after him/her ,he/she needs a name too :-D
You've had a good spend up today , hope that grease comes out , a little Fairy Liquid rubbed in before you wash it some times helps to shift it .

So you have sore fingers after the glass class then Ann, don't suppose gloves can be worn as you wouldn't be able to pick up the pieces of glass ,looking forward to seeing what you have made .

Jane

Jane Report 20 Apr 2015 17:54

Now Now Frank :-D ;-) What are you like. Hope that grease comes out Mel.
Sounds like you have had a good day spending plenty of dosh :-D

This afternoon I have had such an upset tum :-S :-S...I had bought some ready to eat Prawns with Coriander and Chilli for Jess, but she didn't have them.So I thought I would try them.As you know I never eat 'seafood'.Well 2 hours later I was getting the gripes and since then I haven't ventured far from the loo :-S.I am hoping it has stopped now...I can only think it was the Prawns. My lips feel all chilli(ish) and my face is sweaty...maybe it was the chilli and not the `prawns..Whatever ,I won't be trying THEM again.
Just put dinner in the oven. It's Chicken Breasts with Asparagus wrapped with Bacon.
Then my usual big roasting dish of Red,Yellow,Green Peppers,Mushrooms,Courgettes,Leeks and Charlotte Potatoes. It's all gone in at the same time so no messing around :-D.I will miss out the leeks on my plate.

Frank what a to do with your Neighbour..How can they insist he is DEAD..He's not a Ghost is he?? That is certainly a right old mix up.I hope it isn't going to cost your neighbour to get it sorted.
WE DID miss you yesterday you know, and all the other missing ones. They are still missing :-S

There was a big Travellers Funeral in town today.Police out ,Roads closed off.I have no idea how many mourners there were. But it was strange to see all the men and boys together ,so many of them ,and then standing outside the Church were the women and young girls all dressed up in their finery. The men seemed just to be all in their T Shirts and jeans.
They usually close some local pubs here when there is such a funeral.

Frank

Frank Report 20 Apr 2015 15:55

Do you need any help with that grease Mel :-D :-D :-D :-D I knew you would spend a few quid once you got started.!!!

Ros has put a new Clematis in by the new arch, together with two more PASSION FLOWERS. I have fed the tomato's and her potted plants. Will get the sprinkler out later and give the lawn and borders a good watering. (everywhere is so dry), My water barrels are getting low, I keep using the water, and with no rain they aren't being refilled.

My (NEW) neighbour called me this morning when I was in the front garden, to tell me his email address was no longer in use. I appears Tal# Tal#k disconnected him as he had PASSED AWAY last DECEMBER. They must have two customers with the same name and got them mixed up. He has Solicitors onto it now, and a barny is going on with the phone company. They have even produced a death certificate.
;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) So I don't know where this will end up.

What a beautiful day it turned out to be, after that chilly start. I am in shorts and T shirt again. Ros is in a small top, and her BOOBS are on display. FOR MY EYES ONLY :-D :-D :-D :-D She's right at the back of the boarder under the fence. So no one can see her except me. I have just taken her a cop of tea and a couple of SNOWBALLS <3 <3 <3

There are two planes going over MILES UP. but side by side (I suppose a mile or so apart, but look much closer) the streamline is spread out behind them. It does look strange.
Spag. Bol. tonight. I prepared it all earlier, so only have to boil the Spag. and heat up the mince and sauce. Will make a change from roast.

Back to my book for a while.

See you later.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 20 Apr 2015 15:31

I,m back and £80 odd quid lighter in my purse. Had lunch at the garden centre and bought two BIG plastic pots that look like lead barrels, one for the Christmas tree as that one broke when it got blown over in the winter and one perhaps for my beans????? Two new Clematis for the arch oh built last year and one Gardeners Delight tom plant which I don,t think they charged me for and a small bag of Eric compost to top up my blueberry plants and pot my new jap maple thing I bought in Morr*sons last week.. We went in oh's car which was a shame really because if we had gone in mine I would have had it cleaned while we were there.

Then we went on to Brook's Nursery for my compost, the only one I really like and oh bought 6 80 litre bags so that should keep us quiet for a while.

So now I can pot away to my hearts delight......... and thats where I am going now.

I managed to get some grease on my jumper (a light greeny one) off oh's car right on my boob, think it was on the door catch.

Morning all, evening Kim,

I see I wasn't missed yesterday, out of sight out of mind :-( :-( :-(

I decided to have a complete day off yesterday apart from preparing and cooking dinner.

I sat with my headphones on and listened to the football from 1.30. West Ham V Man City. then the 2nd semi final of the cup. Ashton Villa V Liverpool.

I read the paper and dozed in the armchair. Was in bed by 10.30 pm So that was me for the day.

Nice morning here apart from being cold at the moment. But that will warm up later.

I can't believe that in 24 hours my Cherry Tree has almost opened into full bloom.

No plans for any hard work today either. apart from feeding the pots and greenhouse, and watering the veg patch.

Yes Jane I think I might of had a few words with that assistant. It's all very well being chatty when there's not a queue , but not when you are busy.

We have been invited out on Thursday night to a "ST GEORGES DINNER" to friends round the corner. They have a Marque in the garden and are inviting a few friends round. Estel will do all the cooking, we only have to take our drinks. I will ring her later to see if she would like me to make a couple of Bread and Butter puddings for afters.

Hope your OH is feeling a little better Gill.

Ann, that sounds a bit dangerous doing that glass work.

Mel, Go easy will what you spend today. It soon runs away with you. I should know, !!! Madam bought more plants home with her on Saturday from Morriso#s

Crikey, Jane, you're keen this morning!!! We were woken at about 5.30, but after a quick wee all round, we went back to bed and got up at about 7.45. Have taken Cassie for a walk, OH has cleaned out Merlin and put him out, Cassie is fast asleep in her crate, I think yesterday wore her out a bit, and we're about to have a cuppa. I must wash the kitchen floor today as it is sticky from cooking, actually it's just plain dirty!!!
Today we shall try to have a peaceful day, maybe even sit out if we can get out of this cold wind as the sun is lovely!
Watched Vera last night, but went to sleep through a lot of it!! I can't seem to get into this series at all although I do like it, if that makes sense!!!! Recorded Poldark for another night! Now that I am enjoying!!

Hi Jane

Wonder if anyone else will join us today or if it's going to be quiet again like yesterday.

You could be right with the sore throat it feels much better today so it could well be pollen related.

I do have to go out in a bit to post an anniversary card to my friend in Australia, tax the car and buy the lotto tickets. Hoping I buy the winning one this week :-D :-D

Sounds like you've been busy so far today. I was like that yesterday. Might change the beds today as the weather is lovely and sunny.

I'm wondering if I'm going to hear back from the woman who viewed our property the other day. The agent said she was looking at a few more bungalows this week then she'll make a decision on which ones she wants to see again. Let's hope ours is one of the ones she wants a second viewing on.

Off to get a cuppa now, then out to the shops

I've cleaned the outside and top of the oven ,done some ironing and got washing out on the line and the next lot in the machine. All showered and dressed too.So not a bad start to the day :-D :-D

Lovely blue sky now with a bit of breeze .NIce :-D

I think the next load is ready to go out now.Towels this time.
