Well I have managed an hour of soaps, but now E E is on that's my limit. Most of the "ACTORS" ???? shouldn't be in it. That Carter family are the pits !!!
Train journey across Africa on at 9.00 so will watch that.
Had a great TWO HOURS of NAT GEO WILD this afternoon. Wild Thailand. It was great to see the wildlife that exists in these Country's. Gill, Sandra would love these programmes. If you have SK# they are on 528 also Eden I think that's on 534.
It has turned cooler this evening with that North Easterly wind. It's looks like being cold on the coast tomorrow, so I don't think you should be venturing out Mandy. No F & C at Wells, and you can live without the CRABS the swimming type
I haven't been out all day, just resting. My left knee is giving me JIP tonight. I can see before long I will have to go back and see the Surgeon about having that bone shaved. Ros keeps telling me to do something about it, but I am a MAN scared to have the operation.
Time for a beer, the T.V. and BED.
See you in the morning.

Hi all
Lovely weather here today so I've spent the whole day in the garden it now looks lovely and tidy.
Sorry to hear you've had a fall Frank. I don't know, you're not safe to be left alone. Hope you are ok and then the picture falling on you, what's the 3rd thing going to be.
So you were a bit tipsy Jane. Nice to have a few nibbles and drinks with friends though.
Glad to hear Cassie's doing well and has settled, that was quick, you certainly know what you're doing and what a good little puppy to respond so well. You'll be teaching her tricks next. Bless her. Did you see Britain's Got Talent and the talking dog, maybe you could teach Cassie to do that lol. Hope everything went well at the dentist.
Hope the pictures of the Robin's nest turn out ok Mel, Sandra would love to see them. Our Rosie came by today for her nuts. Sandra gets a bit worried if Rosie doesn't show at our for a few days but then gets so excited when she does. We've not seen the other tame squirrel again yet though.
So you're all posh now Mandy with your new table and chairs you'll have to invite everyone around to christen it. Hope your OH's car last till he get's his new one.
Best to keep our of any neighbourly disputes Ann, you don't want to end up in the middle. Is it going to effect your property.
It's my sister's birthday today and there is a bunch of us going around to mum's tomorrow to celebrate it. My sister couldn't make it over today as she had to work so her son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren plus mum Sandra and I are going to celebrate together, so long as our mum doesn't do anything, they'll be plenty of us there to muck in with food and the like.
The viewing went well yesterday and I got some feed back today saying that she's looking at a few more bungalows next week and then she'll get back to us if she wants a second viewing. She did tell me when she was here that I've got a lovely place and she liked the garden as she has dogs.
Her only concern, because our garden is around 80 foot long and about 50 foot wide, was how she was going to cut the grass. My OH does gardening for a property developer so I told her he could cut the grass as we've decided to stay living local because of OH job. So hopefully if that was her only concern then she might want a second viewing. Fingers crossed

Evening all, It hasn't been a bad day weather wise ,little bit of sun now and then ,i did take my cuppa out this afternoon but it was a little too chilly to sit out and drink it so i came back in .
Not a lot happening here today ,i did a few jobs ,walked to town and went to the bank ,bought some fruit and veg on the market and that's about it .
Oh dear Frank things are going bump in the night !! now what made that fall down It could have given you a nasty crack on the head if you had caught the corner of the picture on your head !!
How is the Robins nest today Mel ?
That sounds a nice meal Jane ,did you manage to sit out or was it chilly were you where too? I hope poor bunny gets buried today ,or it might be getting a little whiffy !!

Crumbs what a quiet day here.Everyone busy? We has a nice lunch .Not terribly exciting menu but it was all tasty.I had Tomato and Basil soup to start and then Beer battered Fish and chips. The batter wasn't the best as it wasn't really crispy.Chris has Haddock and Chorizo fishcakes and then a really nice big burger with something in.So nothing else to eat tonight.maybe some fruit later.
I don't know how old the bottles were in Jakes garden .The house is in Regent St Frank you know the terraced ones.I imagine they might have been built in the 1800's.
I think I will get the last few things ironed as I am not cooking, then that will be another job out of the way.
Hope OH's car hangs on for him Ann.Next week won't come quick enough by the sound of it lol

Drinking it or smoking it ??? While you are on a high, stay with it. I give you a bump on the head, JUST WATCH IT YOU
I bet it wasn't warm enough to sit out, it's been quiet chilly here today. Would that Pub/restaurant be anywhere near Foxton Locks. I use to take my children there in the 60/70s I can't remember how many locks there are, but quite a few.
Shin of beef tonight in a nice gravy, with cabbage, Brussels, carrots, runners, and Mash. That will fill a hole.
All washing dries and ready for ironing. I might ONLY MIGHT give her a surprise while she is out with Martine tomorrow morning, and do the flat things, and my shirts.
Looks like being a nice evening weather wise.

Morning/Evening All
Have you got a bump on your head Frank !!!!.Might the pic have knocked some sense in to you I don't know how many bottles we had .I think it was 4 !!!..That is the trouble when you sit and chat and eat for hours it just goes down so quickly
Ann I wonder how many others were peeping through blinds and curtains yesterday !! I hope it didn't come to blows .I can see trouble in the close It's no joke though is it.
Fiona I do like your hat It suits you .Shame you couldn't eat out after all yesterday but still nice that the meat was done on the BBQ
We are off to Market Harborough in a minute for lunch. This time it is at (I think it's called) The Waterfront .It is where all the narrow boats are.I was hoping it would have been warm enough to sit out there but it is actually quite chilly.I'm going to have to put a warmer top on I think. I will be drinking Coke
See you later

Forgot to mention, during the night while fast asleep a picture that hangs over the headboard decided to fall on my head. I wondered where the hell I was. !!! It's one Ros made from different materials. with pearls and feathers decorating it. IT will have to find a new place to reside, as I don't want that coming down on me again.
Just got out of the bathroom in time. It's been taken over now !!!

Morning Petals evening Kim,
Breezy sort of morning here. Rosa has a line of Colours on the line and a whites wash in the Machine. So should all dry in the breeze.
Won't be doing much today, we are both feeling a bit wacked after all the gardening. It will be nice to have a day off.
You were lucky Fiona to be able to have a BBQ even though you had to eat in doors. Lets hope the weather stays nice for you.
WELL, did you get an offer yesterday Gill, I do hope so.
I see our P artist is back in the living. That must have been some lunch, come on own up HOW MANY BOTTLES>????
That was some find in the garden, how old were the bottles etc. ??In the olden days they had areas where the buried all there Junk. I have heard before about these pits being uncovered.
Mel, I can only imagine the size of your "GARDEN" I think you mentioned 8 acres. ?? So it's almost a hick to get round that area. No wonder you are as fit as a Butchers DOG lol
What sort of size was the lizard. Not like a Comodo Dragon
Must get in the bathroom as R will be in the shower soon and washing her hair, then I won't be able to get near it for an hour.

Morning all and evening Kim,
Looks like I am first out and first in this morning.
Not so bright this morning as there's a bit of cloud in the sky. Wispy clouds in lines but the sun may burn them off. Or I at least hope so.
Ankles ache this morning so I don't know if I shall get up the border or not. It's a long way to walk up there you know..........and it's a long border as Ann will tell you.
I did'nt see any hogs last night but the food was all gone so they must have come while I was inside.
When I went shopping yesterday as I approached the end of the road to turn right to Bideford a lizzard ran across the road. I wondered what it was at first but it must have been a lizzard.

That sounds interesting Jane. Oh dug up a load of old bottles when he lived out the front. We still have some of them.
Did the shopping this afternoon and was tired when I got home at 5pm. Took me ages to put it all away and have a cuppa. Then I had to get all the banties back in our ground as they were scratching in the field behind us. Then it was wash all the hog bowls and put the lights back on the grass as I took them all up for oh to mow while I was out.
Down at Prickly Hollow which in under a big camelia all the grass is pink with thepetals off the bush. It looks so pretty.
Thanks for the pics Frank. The feature looks great as does your patch. Now you just have to wait for it all to grow.
Hope the viewing went well for Gill today.
Ann hope G's car last till the new one arrives. He must be getting excited now and will want this wekk to go quickly.
I see Jane had a GOOD lunch today and Chris and Fitz too by the sounds of things.
Signing out now so night night.

James home.....The reason why he was so late was his friend's rabbit had died and they were going to bury it..When they started digging , they discovered a stash of old bottles and old iron tools..So poor bunny still hasn't been buried. He is in a cardboard box.

Evening All,
Been a lovely day here, really sunny and warm, we even managed to cook on the BBQ but by the time it got to about 5.30 the clouds came over and we had to go in doors to eat the meat , salad and chips.it had gone chilly and to cold to sit outside.
Got a haircut today, it feels lovely & light, still unable to get my hair washed at the hairdressers, but I washed it this morning, so it was clean for the girl to cut it.
I think OH has dozed of on the settee. I can't let him sleep to long ,I have put away the chairs and covered up the garden table but OH has to put away the BBQ & close the garage door, I can't lift or reach the door.

Soaps are on, so I am out of the way. WHY do they have to have these boys/men kissing each other, it turns my stomach. I know I am old fashioned, but I think this is beyond normality for early evening viewing.
R did a nice turkey stir fry tonight so I had an evening off from cooking.
I see it's turning colder tonight, so I am glad I fleeced the beans, I also went down and put a tray of beans back in the greenhouse.
No beer tasting tonight, so I hope it's drinkable. !!!!
I think I enjoyed playing with the puppy when I had one or two. They chased around and I don't know about tiring them out, it left me breathless.
Ros said Valerie is getting quotes for ASTRO TURF for her back garden, as she doesn't want the mowing. I had to smile, she has a son, SIL and a grandson, who are all young enough to do it for her. It's not as though she has a big garden, more like a postage stamp
Just been to the garage, and felt a few spots of rain. So we might be in for a shower this evening.
It looks like it's all kicking off with the builder then Ann, he's getting his comeuppence so it seems. Good on the neighbours for standing their ground. Yes, I agree, it's better to stand back and let them sort it out.
Nothing worth watching on normal T.V. tonight, so I will be flicking through the channels, will end up with NAT GEO I expect, or ITV 3.
Has Jane gone to bed ???? She will be awake by 2.00 am.
Have a nice evening all, see you tomorrow.

I bet that was quite a sight to see Mandy. Funnily enough OH was saying how he liked some military words this morning and 'dragoons' came up....also 'hussars!' Your new table sounds good for seating all the family as you say....with room for one more!! lol. It's handy when you can just extend them when needed too. Yes fingers crossed the car will keep going a bit longer.
Frank, you have got on well with the garden and planting things. The water feature will be nice for the hogs and birds to drink from too.
There was a right ding dong going on at the end of the close just now as the builder had arrived with someone else. We heard raised voices and peeped through the blinds to see the chap that came with the builder filming it on his mobile with the nextdoor neighbour doing the same. Both end neighbours were there and it seemed to be to do with the opening the builder will make at the end of the close and the land that's the front garden of one of them. We decided to keep out of it as feelings were obviously running high and the dispute with the builder over pinching their land and the opening is theirs to sort out now the plans have been passed.
Dad obviously kept Cassie busy Liz! lol. At that age they are either racing about or sleeping. It is like having a baby isn't it. I can remember having to play with my baby brother and sister so they wouldn't go to sleep before bedtime, especially when they'd kept us all up the night before.

Cassie had a busy afternoon with her Dad, and is now crashed out! She'll have to wake up after we've had our supper, else she won't want to go to bed!! OH getting supper tonight, so I'm having a bit of peace!!

Evening all,
Another nice sunny day but not so quite warm but we still sat out and had our coffee this morning .
It was the big parade in town today for the Light Dragoons ,they are now on the move from Swanton Morley, i think they are back to Yorkshire some where ,lots of people lining the streets to give them a good send off and a fly pass from RAF Marham ,which passed over as we had our coffee .
Table and chairs were here just before nine this morning so they are now in place and son has taken the old table home ,yes Ann this table extends longer than the other table we had ,it should seat ten ,so it will easily seat all the family when they come . Sounds as if OH's car is now on its way out now , hope it lasts out until he gets his new one next week.
I think it's very good of you Frank to keep dragging yourself off to the pub to check the beer hasn't gone off some one has to do it !! Gardens looking good .
Any news on the viewing Gill ?

It sounds the perfect time for OHs car to go Ann, It sounds like he's had the best out of it.
I did go out the back for a little while, watered all the beans, greenhouse etc.
Ros has just been to Valerie's to drop of the tree I bought in memory of SID. If she hadn't taken it, I think it would have been here for ever and a day.
The new neighbour at the bottom of the garden is putting a new roof on his shed. He called over to Ros and said "I bet you will be glad when I am finished all this banging" she laughed and said I will get my own back some time lol
How's the head JANE ????

Oh Frank, I hope you didn't wrench yourself too much when you fell. A rest now sounds like a good idea as you have done so much out in the garden this week. I can just imagine the 2 birds on their nests in your shed!! lol. Yes, if Jane is squiffy, then Chris will be needing a lie down!! Fitz certainly enjoys a glass or two!!
I have planted up one of my pots with a stripey grass, blue and white pansies and some silver foliage. I also got my new secateurs whirring into action and trimmed back 3 of the shrubs, filling 3 plastic sacks. OH was picking the bits up, weeding and digging up the dead shrub we think the cat killed. A little wren was on the blackthorn tree in the field and there were 3 buzzards circling and calling above the field. My back had had enough then so I have come inside and been sorting some things out in the uti. We want to get the rest of the pruning finished in the next few days as OH should get his new car next week and he won't want messy bags in it straightaway. He can't wait now as his old car is limping along and had a warning light on the dash flash on the other day. I've said we could just use mine till his new one arrives, but if his doesn't go out every day now , it's slow starting as if the battery has had it too!!
