Morning All (JUST) Evening Kim,
Glad everyone is having a nice Easter with friends and family. Don't eat to many Easter Eggs. We don't bother buying each other any as they never get eaten.
Yes Jane I laid on the bed and listened to the football (in between dozes) Got up about 5.00 to watch the results.
Had an Indian delivered last night. Very nice it was too,
I must start to put food out for the HOG, just hope the cats don't find it first. !!!
Ros is in the shower then will get ready for our lunch date at 1.00 pm.
She has changed the bed this morning and a line of whites are out. That should be dry by the time we get back.
I may have mentioned that as a child I found a stoat running along a gutter in the road. I picked it up and the Bast### bit my finger. I soon threw that off, and never approached one again. !!
Our doves are darting all round the boarders finding nesting materials, off they go with twigs, and are soon back for more.
Have put some filled Coconut shells by the nesting box's. So hope the Tits find them, and decide it will be a good food source to nest by ;-) ;-) ;-) Well I can hope :-D :-D :-D
Yes we haven't heard from Gill, perhaps she's up to her elbows in" muck and bullets" if the council haven't been. !!!
Time for my shower, and get ready for the off about 12.45 pm
See you later, have a nice day.

Been in the garden this afternoon. Cleaned out both lots of chickens and let the banties out earlier today as I was about. They still decided to go round by oh's workshop so I put the fence up and left them there.
Sowed some seeds and divided the two tom plants I bought in one pot.
Have lost the rest of the tunnel over the last windy week so nothing left of it now except loads of rabbit tunnels in the beds that were'nt covered with poly or myplex.
It was a lovely day here today with NO WIND to speak of.
We have been watching a little hog eating in the garden at a bowl quite near the house. Oh went out for a ciggy and left the outside light on. After dinner I thought I would turn it off and when I looked out I could see it. We watched for quite a while and then it walked in a big circle and back to the bowl of food again. I put cat food out tonight with their dried food.

There is something about a rabbit squealing/screaming that send shivers through me.It's a dreadful sound. :-S :-S I remember once when Chester got one(the only time thank heavens).Don't want to hear that noise again. Snares are just barbaric :-S :-S On a nicer note ..I'm watching You've been framed.I love the silly animal ones :-D :-D

I know its nature and bunnies need culling, but I still hate to see it. When we lived in our first Exmoor house, the gamekeeper set snares for rabbits, and you could hear them scream when they got trapped! It was just awful and it always upset us both!! After we moved to a village it was ok!!! I think it's illegal now thank goodness. Expecting a visitor for supper so must get on!

I hope little bunny was dead Mel.I don't want to think of it any other way :-( Fitz found 3 tiny baby bunnies in his house brought in by Podge :-S :-S..They didn't even have their eyes open .2 were dead but one was still alive so Fitz had to do 'the deed' :-( :-(...That blooming cat !!!!!
Liz I saw that too about young Haley.I have seen her several times over the years on various tv programmes. What an amazing young girl .So sad for her family to lose her now.I believe she did live several years beyond what was expected. She always had a sparkle :-D :-D
Bet Frank is still having a snooze to sleep off his beer :-D :-D
That is good Lacey is feeling a bit better now Mandy.Just hope she kept it to herself and not shared the bug with anyone else :-D I will send you what I have cooked .It is a bit complicated to explain here lol

What a shame Liz. I have watched a few programmes about her and she was such a positive, fiesty characterl that never complained or let things hold her back. She lived longer than expected, but it's still a very short life for those with the condition.
I see the stoat is on your side Mel, culling the bunnies for you. I saw a baby one at the roadside this afternoon. They look so sweet.
I meant to say that that was just what OH said about his mum soon sorting things out if they affect her!
That's good that Lacey has improved Mandy. At least she sounds well enough now for the easter egg hunt tomorrow. :-) Fingers crossed the others will be too!!
Well, I got a few more beads, but there wasn't much choice as the lady is stopping doing them!! Because of that I got them at a cheap price so at least that was good! I must have a shifty and see what I have taken pics of and send them. We have made a few things I undid as I knew I wouldn't wear them. :-S
Let us know if the nematode stuff works Jane. They reckon this year will be bad for slugs and snails so Chris has the right idea attacking them early!

Was out in my shed and the bantams in their house are just outside it. They atarted hicking up a racket so I told them off, as you do, but they carried on. I looked the way they were looking and there by the wall was the stoat with a very small baby bunny in its mouth and it could'nt walk very fast with it. shot in for my camera but it was'nt there by the time I got back.

I've just seen that Hayley Okines has died. What a brave young girl she was, and how devastating the whole sad story has been for her parents having to watch he deteriorating before their eyes, and not being able to do one thing about it. Makes you realise how lucky it is to have healthy children and grandchildren. My heart really goes out to them. Planted some Gladioli today, and two miniature rose bushes, to fill the gaps in the flower border, hopefully they'll 'take'! More weeding as we have an influx of forget-me-nots and they are taking some shifting!! OH has dug up some runaway raspberry canes, and is 'taming' some strawberry plants!! Nearly time for a cuppa!

Afternoon all,
Mostly cloudy here today, the sun keeps trying to break through but there's too much cloud .
I carn't really remember schools we sang at school but i have had this going round in my head all morning since i bought the Hot x buns .
Hot cross buns! Hot cross buns! One a penny two a penny - Hot cross buns If you have no daughters, give them to your sons One a penny two a penny - Hot cross buns
Hubby is outside making some wooden planter boxes to go on the wall , i think he's made a good job of them they have to be painted now , and i think i will have a plastic trough in them so i can just take that out to plant up and then slip it back in .
Little Lacey still has a bad tummy but at least the sickness has stopped ,no sign of the others coming down with it so far thank goodness.
Ohhh Ann to cold to go commando yet :-D more beads :-D we haven't seen any of your creations lately ,have you made anything nice ,silly ask really as all the things you make are lovely :-)

Brr! Bit chilly for going commando Ann :-S...Chris is always on the hunt for his pants lol I often see the Heron fly across our garden.Probably coming from next doors lake to my neighbours 2 doors down with a fish pond.Maybe it goes their for afters :-D.But hey have a big wire grill over the pond so I doubt it has much luck there.
I have had to come out of the kitchen.I've been frying onions ,chopping chilli and crushing garlic......All my worst things :-S.My face is all sweaty and throat claggy. But that is the worst bits done now.I will be having a shower and hair wash later :-D
Chris has been in the garden digging in something called Nemoslug.I think he said they are microscopic worms that if put in the veg patch will stop slugs.Fingers crossed that works :-D
I have just seen the time and can't believe it is nearly 3 o'clock.I'm shocked :-0.I thought it was about 1 o'clock !!
Right back to the kitchen :-S

Afternoon All,
I decided to wash today ready for tomorrow as last night's forecast said drizzly rain for here this morning. Well we did get that.....but only for about 5 minutes. I must get some pants back in circulation soon or we will have to go commando!!
We don't see the Heron round here as often now. Maybe it's because we have no pond now. Mel, I can remember what we sang at junior school. One song began like this, but I can't find it on google;
The blacksmith we love With hammer a swinging And anvil a ringing Sweet music he's making
Another that our teacher waved his arms at with great gusto at was
Hark, hark the lark At heaven's gate sings When Phoebus gins arise His steeds to water at those springs On chaliced flowered sides
I remember we went to sing to some old folk once and had to learn 'Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do, Come into the Garden Maud and the Lambeth Walk.
I've found a new craft shop at Lutterworth that sells beads so I'm off to have a look now. :-D OH is on his way to a match up north.

Mel I used to love the songs that were sung in rounds.Like Sur la Pont D'Avignon and Londons Burning. Now I have those 2 in mind I can't think of any others lol..Maybe later .
Ann Jess was doing some kind of spicy chicken dish and salsa..it was the oil in the Wok that was smoking so badly !!!!!!!.
Well it is not a very nice morning .It's all grey and quite breezy.I have towels in the wash at the moment so hopefully I'll get to hang them out. Off to get this Basmati Rice and a paper now ..We all seem to have had a very slow start to the day.All relaxed :-D

Morning all and evening Kim,
It's a bit brighter here this miorning but the bl**dy wind is still here and it's bl**dy cold.
No plans as we never go out on a band holiday. It's not worth the bother.
I have my litttle stash of goodies here on my desk ready for the boys tomorrow.
We have had a heron on my pond this morning but oh managed to scare it away as he saw it land on the watercress plants at the end.
When I first got up and looked out the kitchen window there were two siskins pecking about on the tarmac outside. Took a couple of pics but they are not very good.

So what songs did you sing at school apart from hymnes?
Mandy I hope Lacy dos'nt have anything too serious and can enjoy her Easter Sunday egg hunt. Also hope it dos'nt spread right through the family.
Ann it goes from bad to worse with MIL and FIL. I bet if the table was in MIL's way it would be moved. I wonder how many more visits the gardener will get??
