I liked the sound of your and Chris's dinner Jane. :-) Sounds like Jess took her eye off something a moment too long there!! lol. Yes, what was she cooking?
I hope your legs feel less sore now Frank and that you get a good night's sleep. The farm in Cornwall sounds a great place to stay, so I hope the relationship stays the course!
Off to bed now when I've checked the weather forecast and decided whether to put a wash on. I have lost track of what day it is today with not going to beading, keep thinking it is Sunday.

Two blooming hours of "SOAPS". I have been sending Email messages to old friends, so kept me out of the way.
Poor old you Jane, having to sit with all the doors and windows open. What did she cook ??
The Liver and onions was very nice, I started to cook it at 7.20 pm. By the time we had it and I washed up it's nearly over (soaps)
When is that child going to have her BABY. By the sound of it, most women would have had THREE. These soaps seem to be full of SEX violence and affairs. Who writes this rubbish. ???
I like your pussey's new name Ann. !! Your OH has an answer for everything. Don't talk to me about waking early. I am awake about 4 to 5 every morning, and feel tired out by lunchtime. I will be in bed once Bear has finished tonight.
How was that fish pie Liz ??
Time for a couple of beers, so see you in the morning.

Afternoon All,
It's poured down here most of the day but has stopped now at last. After lunch at Ullesthorpe we went down the A5 to a garden centre at Kingsbury, then called to see MIL and FIL on the way back. FIL has had 2 more falls in the past week, once in the bath that they'd told us they didn't use anymore as it was a struggle. He's still walking to the paper shop in the mornings despite struggling to get back and they still won't have the paper delivered. They didn't know we were calling today and MIL was upstairs when we got there but the stairlift was at the bottom?? It seems she doesn't need it that badly! The doc said he should see FIL again if he was no better in 3 weeks, but MIL as usual will only see the same doctor so it will be almost 6 weeks by the time he goes back. :-S OH is ringing on Tuesday to get FIL a grab handle fitted like MIL has her side of the bed to help him get out of bed in the morning. It hadn't even occurred to MIL. We've said till we are blue in the face about the dangers of falling with osteoporosis and turned a coffee table round so it was easier to walk by it last time we called, but it was turned back today and FIL was stumbling past it to his seat again. At least the gardener has lasted 2 visits now!
I feel tired today and was awake from 3.45pm this morning when I woke up sweltering for the second night running. We watched Noel earlier too Liz and that Bengal pussycat was a beauty wasn't he. He was so lucky not to lose his leg.
OH says that I can't really call the cat Hello Kitty, since he pooped in the garden and said I should call him Hello Shi**y now!! :-0 lol. You have to laugh don't you!
Thanks for the emails Frank and I hope Ros's xray is good. It's good she's getting checked out.
Poor little Lacey Mandy, yes, I bet your DIL is hoping it isn't something the others will catch.
I recognise the tune Mel, but it isn't a song that we sang at school. It is nice though.

Oh Heck Mandy .I do hope the sick bug doesn't pass on to everyone else :-SPoor little Lacey.I hope it is just a 24hr thing and that she soon recovers.
Frank Judge Rinder was on..I watched it.it was about 2.15 and I did have a laugh :-D There was one real bright spark (NOT).made himself look a right idiot . That is odd you can't get on Ancestry for free if it says you can.You shouldn't be needing to put in card details.
The rain is heavier here now and it's really murky.Lights have had to go on already :-S I am going to get Chris's and my dinner on the go now .Lightly dusted Haddock(not sure what the lightly dusting is lol),chunky Chips,Petit Pois and a mix of Butternut Squash,Red Onion, and Peppers. Enjoy your Liver Frank :-S..Not my favourite.

Jane, No Judge Rinder today. I looked !!!
Advert on Tele says, Ancesrty free this weekend. I have been on there but the ones I want to view have "PREVIEW" against them, when you click on that it takes you to the subs page and 14 days free trial. How can they say it's free if they want my Credit card details. It would be just like me to FORGET to cancel before the 14 days are up.
Ros didn't rush home as she said to Martine that I would be down the PUB watching the match. WHAT MATCH it's Friday not Saturday. Anyway she still went off and had her nails done then had the car cleaned, so didn't arrive home till after 3.00 pm.
We have decided on Liver, mash onions and peas tonight. I will stink of Onions, but they say they are good for you.
Backs of my legs are still sore. Will have to take something for it tonight. Can't think what it's called but Ros bought it last week. It has worked for her. !!

Afternoon all,
Dull day here ,we had rain first thing but that soon went over .
Went to sons this morning ,poor little Lacey has sickness and diarrhea :-( she was fast asleep when we left ,they are just hoping all the others don't get it !!!
Lovely photo's of Matteo Fiona , i know what you mean when you say it's a job to get photo's ,sons children don't sit still long enough to take photo's either they are always on the go.
We're having a lazy day here to Jane , i have cooked a piece of beef and got the chicken in sauce ready to cook but that's all .
I had a listen to the song Mel , i don't remember hearing it but it is a lovely tune .

Ah yes I do recognise the tune now Mel But I never remember singing that song.It is lovely isn't it :-D
It is still light rain here :-S.James is wanting to replace a headlight bulb in his car.But I think he will have to wait and do it tomorrow now.At least he won't be using the car tonight. At least the rest of the weekend looks like it will be dry.I feel rather sorry for Wicksteed Park today .I can't imagine there will be hordes of visitors :-SThe Park has has a major overhaul with help from funds from the National Lottery.I must go and have a wander around sometime and have a look to see what they have done.I haven't been there since losing Chester.
I am having a really lazy afternoon :-D.Basically doing nothing.I might have a look at the books on Paris as it is only a few weeks before we go.I need to refresh my memory :-D.I think Chris wants to go to a couple of Galleries ,that I am not particularly interested in going to ,so I will be quite happy to potter around and do my own thing then. :-D :-D
I think I just spotted the Easter Bunny in the garden !!!..Hope Chris doesn't see it.He is in the Summerhouse with head down painting.

I don't remember that one at all Mel.Maybe if I heard the tune it might ring a bell.
Frank ouch !!!!! cramp in both of your legs !!!.Was it it the same time? .It has always puzzled me as to how the pain lasts for so long in the muscle afterwards. When I was a Renal Nurse and the patients on dialysis they would often get terrible cramp.I remember many times someones foot pushing hard against my hands or sometimes even my back to try and alleviate the pain.Because they were hooked up to the machine they couldn't get off the beds.
Fiona I expect you will enjoy a little bit of a break from looking after the children.I know my sister and BIL think it is heaven to get a bit of time just for themselves.
I hope there is no nastiness Frank if Lara does go to Cornwall with the baby..Hopefully they will both be 'adult' and try to work things out so baby doesn't get pulled from pillar to post...Not an easy situation though is it.
Well I didn't last long in the kitchen.I did make some Rose and Pistachio Rice Pudding. Just little individual Ramekins .It is very rich so you can't eat a huge bowl of it. The other thing i was going to do will have to wait as I haven't got any Basmati Rice left and I am NOT going out again today.
So all on your lonesome today then Frank.Sounds like you will be having your feet up with those sore legs ..I hope Ros's Xray will be fine.I'm sure it will be.It can take months sometimes for chesty things to clear, especially after how poorly she was too.
I decided to light the fire just now. It's not really cold enough for one but as it is such a grey day I thought it might cheer the place up .I will be stripping off later no doubt lol
I think I might watch Judge Rinder in a minute..LIke you Frank I love his facial expressions and when he shouts STUPID !!!!!..Half the people on the show I'm sure I have seen on J Kyle !!!!!!...Honestly some of these folk are quite ... well I'm not sure how to describe them. But you get my drift :-D
Right I think it might be on now so BBL

Just found myself singing this.
Does anyone else remember singing it at school?
O'er the ocean flies a merry fay, Soft her wings are as a clouds of day. As she passes o're the blue waves say Marianina, do not roam, Whither, whither is your home? Come and turn us into foam. Marianina, Marianina, Come, O come and turn us into foam.
Or the fields she passes to and fro By the corn starks standing row by row Poppies whisper as they see her go Marianina little friend Whither would your foot steps wend Come and teach us how to bend Marianina, Marianina , Come oh come and teach us how to bend
O'er the mountains when the day is done, When the clouds are gathering o'er the sun. While they weeping, whisper one by one "Marianina, come again, We have tried to dance in vain, Come and turn us into rain. Marianina, Marianina ,Come, oh come and turn us into rain

Thought as I am alone, I would pop back in.
Forgot to mention I had CRAMP again this morning in BOTH legs. I feel like I've been kicked by a donkey.
Lewis just rang to see how we are. He and his M & D are off to Cornwall at 5.pm to stay with his sister Lara's boyfriends M & D who have a 300 acre farm down there. It seems that Lara and boyfriend are looking to move down there and to start a Wedding Business , which to my knowledge they know nothing about By what's been said his M & D are Millionaires, and helping them set up the farm house as a venue, and they will move out. You can be sure that Lara will SPEND SPEND SPEND, as it's not her money, I can't see it working out as her Husband still has access to their daughter. He lives in Bedfordshire, and he won't like the idea of travelling to Cornwall to see his daughter. Watch this space :-D :-D :-D
Rain has cleared away, but still very overcast with a light breeze.
Haven't given any thought to what to eat tonight. See what Madam says when she gets in, whatever time that will be. A nice bit of F & C WITHOUT BATTER sounds good to me !!!
Fiona I suppose it will be difficult for Matteo, to get use to someone he hasn't seen for 9 months, but I bet you will be on hand if needed <3 <3 <3

Clearing up here now but still VERY damp! not cold though! Fish pie is made with a potato topping so it only needs to go under the grill. We shall have courgette for veg, and chocolate sponge for pudding!! OH had to have a chest X-Ray back in the winter Frank as he had the same symptoms as Ros. It was a nasty infection which took a bit of shifting, so I expect this is the same problem. You'd be very welcome to lunch! I ALWAYS over cater, and there's enough to feed an army!! Sorry your hand is still troubling you Mel. Have you tried putting honey on the wound? We swear by it as it's nature's antiseptic. During and after the war burnt airmen were initially treated by a liberal amount of honey on their wounds at the burns units at East Grinstead and the Churchill in Oxford to great effect. You can read it up on Google who explain things much better than I can. Better get on!

Morning Every one, Evening Kim.
Must wish everyone on our thread a Happy Easter, (Nearly wrote Christmas there :-S) I have been busy doing a few household chores before I have lunch today, I have decided to go to the GOOD FRIDAY VIGIL SERVICE at 12.noon .so meeting up with one of my Wednesday coffee pals, she is doing a coffee duty down at St Johns so it will be handy to pop into the centre, and then when she is finished her duty we will go into church together,
After Sunday, my babysitting duty is over till after the Easter hols, well thats what I have been told ;-) Daniele mum arrives on Monday for two weeks and she will take over the looking after of the kids, I bet she is desperate to see them it was last June when the family went over to Italy for their summer holiday. she will see a big difference especially in Matteo he has lost his toddler looks and has become more of a little boy, and Sofia has grown up a lot since going to school. mind you I know Sofia is fine with her Nonna Adele but I think Matteo will take a bit more time to come round , he is a clinger especially when there's someone who he doesn't know.
Better go and sort out what I am having for lunch and get ready to go out. at least the weather is dry at the moment.

Morning my "EASTER BUNNIES" evening Kim,
I suppose I was lucky to still have my DAD at aged 72. But the way he went I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy I was only 17 when I started nursing , and 19 when he passed away.
On to better thoughts, The weather is horrible here this morning RAIN. no wind to speak of, but very cloudy, so it's a day in doors today.
Ros was at the Dr yesterday. She has been sent to have a chest xray, to try to find out why she still has this horrible cough and bringing up all this "muck". Martine has taken her, then they will shop today, rather than tomorrow. So "HOME ALONE" again.. Thank goodness for my books !!
Yes Ann keep an eye on the builders, any damage to anything. Photograph it and REPORT IT. ;-) ;-) ;-) You may not be able to stop him building, but you can make life difficult !!!!
Liz, Can I come to lunch. ??? Fish pie would be lovely. Ros doesn't eat fish, SEA FOODS and she's in her element, but put a piece of fish in front of her, and up goes the nose !!!! Where as I could eat it three times a week.
Well I'm off for a bacon sarnie and another cuppa. See you later.

Goodness it's teeming this morning, so no boating for us today!! Just had son on the phone to say that he and partner will come here for lunch and then they'll go on to the river to join the others. (too wet for us!!!) Trouble is these plans have changed about three times in as many days, so hopefully we all know what we're doing!!! Yes we belong to a well known breakdown service Frank, and like you have been 'rescued' a few times!!!! Once when OH was in hospital (!!!) which was a godsend. I can remember years ago Ann, that we were threatened with house building in the field behind our then house! Luckily it was designated flood plain and planning was refused! Not sure that would be the case these days! We didn't watch the political 'jamboree' last night either Frank. Like you we have made up our minds and that's that! Whatever the arguments, for us it doesn't make any difference, neither of us can bear to listen to the Punch and Judy show and certainly wouldn't be swayed by it!
