Frank Report 29 Mar 2015 14:09

Afternoon all,

Yes I am about but only just.!!

I said a couple of weeks ago that the bottom of my back was playing up. Well, last night it was horrendous , so I went on line to see what it might be " PAIN IN THE LOWER LEFT BACK" it appears that we men get it more than you women. It can be dangerous and might need hospitalization for intervenious (sp) drip. OR IT COULD BE Good old KINDEY STONES (which I have had before) all I know is that I am in a lot of discomfort. and will be calling the doctor in the morning FIRST THING .

I have managed to get showered and dressed. Made the bed, washed up, and got dinner ready for tonight. Not that I feel like eating !!! Ros's back and legs are playing her up also. So I am trying to do things for her. I put it down to all the walking around Hastings and Brighton. It's hard when you don't do it very often.

What a horrible morning. She had a basket of washing to go out, but needless to say that will go on the radiators..

Jane I know how Chris feels. I found that trying to remember all the things that happened in my young life. Took me to another place.

I still haven't read all the posts. But I will when I feel like it. Going to stretch out on the floor for a while to try to relax my back.

Sorry for being a MISSERABLE OLD CODGER !!!!

Afternoon Everyone...Eee cor blimey the wind is bad today(the weather kind I mean :-D).The poor birds are having trouble staying on course.They seem to be just flying where the wind takes them lol
I had to nip out to get some Spring Greens and my coat was whipped up nearly by my ears at one point !!!

I won't be putting my nose outside the door again today ,thats for sure.It is raining too now
:-S

I was thinking Fiona and Mel.Do you use soaps,bath stuffs.shampoos etc that have some kind of scent ..The Simple range which is fragrant free is good.James was only saying to me the other day that the palms of his hands were all dry and itchy too.
As for foot cream.I like Shcoll (sp) intensive moisturising cream best.I slather it on when I need to and sleep with socks on.

Well, Hannah dragged all the photos out (that I HAD NEATLY ALL SORTED)We did have a laugh at some of them.She was looking for some of her and James when they were little.So the ones she liked have been put to one side to copy for her..Then off she goes back to London and leaves me to do all the clearing away !!!!!..Daughters :-
S.I love her really :-D
James and Jess had a great time last night at the charity boxing thing.James friend won his match but did get a bloody nose.I have no idea what time they got in but James looks like a drip and I haven't seen Jess yet lol
Chris is doing his Memoirs.I know it is a good thing to do but it does seem to make him a bit 'out of it'(if that makes any sense)..I suppose he just has all these thought going around in his head and seems like he is on another planet..Hannah said "Dad seems different" and asked if he was ok.I assured her he was fine but his head is somewhere else at the moment :-D.

I think our Frank is up and about ...I can see emails coming through :-D :-D :-D

Mel ,I have started using gloves while doing the laundry too , it might be the washing liquid, different things are going around in my head,

Shampoo and conditioner, so cover up my hand at the moment when washing hair.
Dishwasher tablets, glove on again, I have not changed to anything different and i have no problems with the right hand :-S :-S

Mel do you moisturise your hands after washing them , I have NIVEA cream beside the soap dispenser so if I feel my hands are dry or rough I just cream them . it's good for using on my body & feet after a shower or bath,

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 29 Mar 2015 11:45

Fiona I meant to ask how your hand was doing. Mine is on the left hand too.
Much better but still there and Jane told me to carry on after the week with the cream. Trouble is I am always washing my hands with feeding the chickens etc. I can't stand greasy hands so when I am cooking I am always washing them then too.

I never put them in washing up water and have used rubber gloves ever since I was first married in 1969.

Morning All, Evening Kim.
Been pouring down here this morning, so decided to give church a miss. don't want to sit in church damp.

Gill, Genealogy is REALLY addictive, I have been doing research for the last 15 years or so. and once you get the hang of it, you want more :-D I have got several trees on Ancestry, and every time someone new appears, I want to know more about them and their families. It costs a lot of money too if you are not careful,

My itchy hand is improving since using the Hydrocortisone cream, and between itchy hands and cream for my cracked heels, I'm always on with the Latex gloves especially on the left one, i still don't know what made my hand itch , anyway , am getting into a good wee routine hope to have lovely soft feet for summer :-D :-D

Morning all

Horrible wet and windy weather here today. The sun is trying it's best to come through but there are to many clouds.

Just finished watching the F1 Lewis didn't win :-( Better luck next time.

Going to have a lazy day today, I feel like I haven't stopped lately so it'll be nice to just relax. Might have another look at my family tree. I've found out that one of my relatives sister was in fact his mother. The thing's you find out :-D :-D :-D.

Sorry to hear you had a bad tummy while you were away Frank. Glad to hear it's all cleared up now and that it didn't spoil your time away.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time at the Theatre Jane. Nice of Hannah to get you the tickets. You're not seeing much of your children this time round. I suppose when Michelle comes here next month it'll be the same for me with all the plans she has. At least I know I'll spend one day with her on Sandra's birthday so that's something to look forward to.

Off to take a look at my tree now, see if I can find anyone else. It's quite addictive isn't it ;-)

They park all the cars on our front grass and there were 39 tractors booked for it today many more than in previous years and a 100 for the dinner afterwards.

I hav't been up to have a look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-0 :-0

Jane Report 28 Mar 2015 18:20

So you have made another friend Frank :-D :-D..Oh dear,you do seem to have a delicate tum.I wonder what it was that caused the upset.Italian food is normally pretty safe.Shame the weather was a bit iffy,but I expect you all had a good time anyway :-D

Gill ,that was nice that your Mum stayed the extra time with you especially having those couple of turns .I expect she will be glad to be back home though now and not too far away from you.

Crikey Ann,keep your peepers open tonight.Just in case the van returns.It did sound a bit suss especially being that time of night.They probably thought everyone was tucked up for the night.Little did they know our Ann was on their case :-D :-D.I would be keeping a pen and paper at hand to try and get the number plate :-D

What a shame there was nothing on the CCTV Mandy.Hopefully you won't get any more trouble.

The play was totally BRILLIANT :-D :-D :-D..It was very loud(at times) some strobe lights(don't like) and fast.But just really clever and well done.Not your normal kind of play at all but so worth seeing..Thanks to Hannah for buying us the tickets.

James and Jess have just gone out all done up .James in his suit and Jess in a very pretty outfit and some AMAZING shoes to a Charity Boxing match !!
Hannah is just getting herself ready too to go out for this Birthday meal with friends.

I will catch my breath before starting our dinner.Steak and Chips,Mushrooms,Tomato and peas.

I'm Home !!!!

he first night down there I had a dicky tummy again. So I introduced myself to a NEW FRIEND.!!! Haven't been to the toilet since :-( :-( :-( Stand by for BLAST OFF.

Had a good journey down and the weather was fair. Had a snack when we arrived about 1.30 and a laze around. We had an Italian that evening. I think that upset my tummy. Thursday morning was hissing with rain, so we didn't go to Rye on the train. In the afternoon I felt a lot better so we caught the bus into Hastings, had a walk around for an hour. Then down came the rain again, so we came home again. Thursday evening we ate out again. Ros and John had Steaks, Carolyn Chicken and I had a local caught SEA BASS. Which was just perfect. Yesterday (Friday) we drove to Brighton to the Lanes. (didn't buy anything) we stopped for lunch at an old pub in Brighton, before making our way back to Hastings. We stayed in last night and just snacked as we wanted. We were away by 10.45 this morning. The traffic was bad all the way home. took about four and a half hours.

As we hadn't eaten we stopped at the Harvester just off Jcn 15 of the M1. We got home and Ros has started to unpack, and has now gone to Morris##s for some fresh veg and bread. and other bits and pieces.

Haven't read any posts YET. will catch up either later or tomorrow. Hope you have all been well. !!!

sorry just noticed your post Mandy. I've not taken any viewing's while mum was here and nothing came of the last lot we had. Sorry to hear nothing came of the CCTV, let's hope that's the end of it and they don't come back. Shame though it would of been nice if the police could of caught them. I'm sure they will sooner or later.

Sorry to hear you car is playing up again Jane, lets hope it's sorted out soon. Hope you enjoyed the Theatre.

Fancy the cat getting in with all those dogs I doubt it'll be back now it knows they're dogs around. Does seem strange that the cat didn't smell the dogs in the first place.

I hope Frank is enjoying his time away and that the weather was ok for him so he could enjoy his walks. It's brightened up a bit here but it was very windy this morning with a few showers. Glad to hear Frank you have booked your flights to see Conrad, you'll both enjoy that.

How worrying Ann having that van driving around at 2am, have you reported it to the police. If they are up to no good they may of done break ins somewhere else which have already been reported. At least the police will be aware of it. Did you get the registration number. Good idea to put the Crookclock on your car. Better to be safe than sorry.

That's handy Fiona having Matteo in the same nursery and school as Sofia, it'll make it so much easier for Victoria now. How nice of the Ancestry member to email you a copy of the newspaper article. I got a phone call earlier off a 4th cousin of mine who's been very kind in helping me finish off one of the lines on my Genes tree. I'm going to email him some info I've got for a branch he needs help on, which also connects him to me. That's four 4th cousin's I've been in contact with recently.

Well, I'd better get back to my housework. I watched the qualifying for the F1 I recorded earlier, so I'm a bit behind now. At least Hamilton got pole position again so that's good. I was a bit worried as his car was playing up, but it all turned out ok in the end. Looking forward to the race tomorrow.

Afternoon all,

A showery day here ,i don't think we will see the sun as there's more black clouds looming .

I tend to look out the window if i get up for the bathroom in the night ,you never know who's about these days , it could have been some one having a look round to see what cars are about ,they'll pinch anythings that's not screwed down !! , my BIL had his car stolen from the front of his house several years ago i seem to remember it had some damage to it when he got it back !! he also had some one try to pinch his spare tyre from under the car when he was parked on the Ho*ebase car park !!if it wasn't for the office staff looking out the window it would have gone !!!

That's good that Mum is feeling better and well enough to go home Gill, and she has her alarm to press should she need too .
Any news on the viewings ?

I suppose our Frank will be home today from the seaside :-)

I meant to say the police rang and said they had had no luck with the CCTV in the churchyard ,it was too dark to see any thing ,but they said they will keep it in mind should anything else happen round about and then it will be brought up again .

~~~~~~~~ to Gill.
good mum thinks she is better and able to go home Gill and as you say she has your number if she needs you.
Ann that does sound a bit suspicious being in the close at 2am.
I am trying to help someone with their tree at the mo.
Hi all
Mum has gone home now so I'm catching up on some housework.
She was going to stay for a couple of days but took another funny turn. She had to use her spray twice which seemed to do the trick but both of us thought it was best she stayed here for the week. My sister is visiting her today so she won't be on her own and she has good neighbours and friends. We are going to visit her in a couple of days when OH has some time off work but mum knows I'm just at the end of the phone should she need anything.
I've missed so much on the thread, so I'd better go and read it all
Afternoon All,
Hope you enjoy the play Jane. It's been wet and windy here too, but I'm off to a garden centre near Nottingham after my cuppa. OH has taken a pal to a match near Stratford.
Something a bit odd happened last night. At 2.00am I was still awake (nothing new there!) and heard several times what I thought was a rabbit shrieking. Being as OH's car has squeaky brakes now and it hasn't been worth fixing them with his new car coming, I wondered if someone was trying to move his car on the driveway. I crept out of bed and lifted a slat on the blinds to see a medium sized van that must have turned around at the bottom of the close in front of nextdoor's and made the squeaks doing so, drive slowly past and slowly back along the close and around the bend. They could have turned around sooner where it is easy, as the main close ends before our 4 bungalows, which were added on later. From there they would see that the narrow road from there to our driveways ends with trees across the end and goes nowhere, so why come down the very narrow bit of road in front of us? It just seems odd to bring a van down here right to the end at 2.00am in the morning, unless they were up to no good!! Before the hedges were cut you could only see one bungalow down here from the entrance to the close, but now we are visible right along the road into the village. OH says he sees a lot more people walking dogs on the field since the hedges have gone too. I just hope it isn't someone casing the place ready to come back. Hopefully seeing all the flashing burglar alarms and motion sensitive lights 3 of us have will have put them off if that is what they were doing. :-S. I think I'm going to put my old crookclock on my car at night now, even though it has an alarm.
