Afternoon Folks,
It's been a lovely day . lovely and sunny . managed to get washing dried and I've just put out a second lot, but the sun has gone in and it's feeling quite cold, but at least it's dry.
After meeting up for coffee this morning , I had to go into Boo*s and ask the pharmacist for some cream for my hand, no idea what's going on but the left hand is very itchy on the palm, so much so ,I have taken off my rings as it has started to get itchy in between the fingers, she gave me some hydrocortisone cream which i can apply thinly for 7 days .2 times a day, and if no better see the doctor, It was driving me mad last night and the E45 cream was making no difference.

Afternoon Mel and All
Just got back for Olney after taking Hannah's rug.We popped into a very quaint Deli /Tea Shop and spent rather a lot. Now I am waiting for Fitz.I was going to go down to him for lunch but as the plumber(HOPEFULLY) will be coming later I will have to be in so Fitz is coming here instead.Chris is just about to leave to go to Northampton.
The sun is out at last.It was very misty this morning and i think there had been a frost.
Fitz has just pulled up.See you later :-D

Yes Jane, the aircraft disaster is quite terrible and my heart goes out to all those poor children/people and their family's. My two 'girls' are going away this summer, one to Slovakia and the other to Spain on Gym/school trip, and ALL of them.are flying to Malta in August for ten days!! A summer of worry for Mum and Dad!! I suppose you just have to keep fingers crossed and hope for the best, but it's not easy! I must admit to hating flying, I've never been a happy flyer and thank goodness long distance is now a thing of the past. Holland is about all I can manage these days and that's through 'gritted teeth!!! Lovely morning here, Merlin really shot up the paddock first thing!!. Must make the most of it as I think the weather is on the turn!! We're off to Sainsbury's to do a big shop, which will save us having to go next week when no doubt it'll be heaving particularly after the children break up!! Ian's very good about helping with shopping, but pulls a face at high days and holidays!! so they're avoided if possible!

That will be a great break Frank :-D..It should be pretty hot though at that time of year. I can't go anywhere abroad in the summer months because of the heat.I think when we go to Lake Como in September it still might be too hot for my liking. But I will have my flappy fan with me.Plus as we are there for 10 nights we won't have to be tearing around everyday and getting totally exhausted. It might be nice just to have a day or two just pottering and chilling out :-D.I would be quite happy just sitting doing a bit of people watching ,or reading my Kindle supping a glass of chilled wine :-D :-D

Evening all,
I have just booked our flights to see Conrad. 17th June to 1st July. Shouldn't be too hot for Ros. I know she is looking forward to spending some Mum time with him.
I have fed and watered the "PATCH" and the greenhouse, also the bottom garden and pots.
I have planted the bushes she bought yesterday. They needed that Aricasia (sp) potting compost. which I had to carry up from the bottom of the garden. I half filled the pots with ordinary compost with the other on top. All watered in.
Case packed and tablets thanks Mandy lol. I can just imagine what it would be like four days without medication.
That air crash seems very strange. The was it descended from 38,000 ft into the mountain side. It looks like all passengers and staff have lost their lives. Such a tragedy. Those poor families will never get over it. :-( :-( :-(
We had pulled beef with mash and veg. quite tasty but not something we will buy again. I like the pulled lamb and port better. !!
Good news for the grandchildren going to the same nursery Fiona. Save a lot of time not having to take one to one place then the other somewhere else.
You be careful with that hand Mel, we don't want that cut to keep opening by catching it <3 <3
The weather is certainly on the change again, that rain this afternoon was so cold. and it's getting down to freezing tonight. JUST MY LUCK to be going to the seaside !!!

All cooled down now :-D..The laptop was so hot !!!!.I noticed it was like that the other day too.So tonight I will make sure I turn it right off when I go to bed.
Fiona how interesting finding out about your ancestors on the Lusitania .But how sad too .
The Plumber never came today as he got held up with another job so he is hoping to get here tomorrow afternoon. In the morning Chris and I are driving over to Olney with Hannah's Indian rug.She wants it cleaned and also to have some of the gold threads around the semi precious stones sorted as a few strands have unravelled. She had as quote of £140 in London !! So I said we would bring it home and I would try and find somewhere here. There is an Oriental Rug shop in Olney so I thought we would try there
Had a phone call from the Dentist today (for james) he needs some treatment .Something showed up on the Xray....More cost :-S :-S.He will ring them tomorrow to see what he needs done. In the afternoon tomorrow Chris is going to the Cinema in Northampton on his own to see some film I didn't fancy. It has sub titles :-S It's called The life of Riley.
We have a lovely blue sky now :-DBut I can see some big clouds on the horizon.I don't know if they are the ones we had earlier or if they are on the way.I really hope you have good weather when you are in Hastings Frank.Just think you will be breathing in some good sea air. There is nothing nicer :-D
OMG the news is dreadful. All those people killed and so many children in that plane that has crashed in the mountains :-( :-( I see they have found a Black Box
Must get dinner in the oven now.James and I are going to share a Moussaka and Chris has a Spanish Chicken and Brown Rice.I have a pan of carrots,Sugar Snap Peas and Green Beans to go with it all.Plus sprouts for Chris. He has lost 8 and a half Kilos !!!!!!Good man :-D..Can't say I am doing as well as that but I have worn a few things that I haven't worn in ages .They feel a fair bit looser. So something is happening :-D

Good news for Victoria then getting Matteo in the same nursery and school as Sophia . She will have some time to herself then and so will you.
We have sunshine here but the wind is really biteing although there's not much of it.
My banties seem to be laying at last as I had three on sunday and one yesterday and by the sound of it I may have another one today. First lot have gone out on my little table which is slowly falling apart. It has been out there a few years now in all weathers and it is only an old tea trolly next door gave me. The shelf is rotting away I put the eggs on!!
Too cold to go out in the garden and he would'nt let me anyway with this hand. It is a lot better though untill I grab a door handle or something like that. I did manage to go up the local shop (only 2 miles) to get a few bits of shopping and perhaps I will go to Holsworthy later in the week.

Evening all,
We've had a nice sunny day here ,but the forecast said we could get some showers in the afternoon , no sign of any the sky's been blue all day.
Oh Mel, i bet your poor hand is sore , it's just where you hold things so will probably take a while to heal :-( It must be lovely to see the deer so close i would want to sit and watch them .
Thanks Ann for the photo's , i was surprised the coffin was so plain though and surprised at the amount of people on the route .
That's good Fiona that little Matteo has got his place at nursery , DIL was saying today that Lacey has a place at nursery starting in Sept ,she has to decide if she wants her to go for the morning or in the afternoon.
Hope the weather is good for you while your away Frank ,don't forget your tablets !! Have a safe journey :-)
Not more problems with hot water cylinder Jane , did the chap sort it ? My lap top sends out a lot of heat ,i can hear it whirring away some times !! if i have it on my lap i stick it on a cushion but i make sure the vent bit where the heat comes out is left clear .

Afternoon All. Looks like another pleasant day the last 2 have been sunny but a chilly wind in the shade. hope everyone is well, :-)
Good news ,Matteo has 5 mornings a week at nursery starting Monday 30th of November, he will be 3 years old on Friday 27th , Victoria is really pleased she has managed to get him a place in the same nursery & school along with Sofia. so she can just drop both children off in on a morning and be very close at hand if one or the other child needs her, through the day,
Was chatting to a member on Ancestry , who has a connection to my paternal side of the family, my great uncle & aunt were passengers on the Lusitania disaster, Aunt Edith survived but G uncle Thomas jumped into the water and didn't come up,Edith has given a account of the terrible tragedy to a local newspaper, and the Ancestry member e-mailed me the newspaper page with information about the Lusitania , also my G aunt's account, makes great reading,
Coffee time. :-D :-D

Morning all, evening Kim,
Another pleasant morning here, sunshine but with a chill in the air.
Bin men have been so I have cleaned them out and put them away. I tend to jet wash the Green bin and pour the water and grass cuttings that stick to the sides down the road drains. It was easy this morning as Madam has gone to the hairdressers, and the drive was clear.
How lovely Mel, to have the deer that tame, that he spends time with you in the garden. Don't you mind him eating the Fushsia ???
I don't go away until tomorrow Mel. John is picking us up about 10.30 am.
I am off down the garden to FED and water the greenhouse and my "PATCH" and see if the onions are still in place.
Catch you all later.

Morning Mel ana All
Mel it probably is a good thing that OH said no to shopping today. If you were pushing a trolley around and gripping the steering wheel i the car you might open up your palm again. How nice to have the Deer and Pheasants all pottering about together :-D
Frank is going to Hastings tomorrow .I am pretty sure he said Wednesday. He hasn't said goodbye yet :-D
I had a rotten night last night. My brain was like it was on a high .It just wouldn't stop. I did sleep from about 10 until just before 2 but then it was all downhill from there :-S I ended up going into Hannah's room about 4 .20 and watched tv for about 10 mins and then had a read.I did drop of and think having a thinner duvet helped plus I opened the window so had some air...Chris is a devil for shutting all the windows at the moment at night.I can't stand it when it gets stuffy and my nose gets stuffed .There is still a bit of a paint smell about upstairs so that doesn't help either .I am going to have to insist that we have one window open even if it just a crack.
Nipping out now .I want to be back by 12 as the plumber is coming to have another look at our hot water cylinder again. BBL

Morning all and evening Kim,
Is it today our Frank goes on his hols? Safe journey for all of you Frank.
Not so bright here again this morning some blue but more grey I think.
Slept with hand uncovered last night and thought I may go shopping today but oh put paid to that and said NO.
We had the deer in the garden yesterday and he wandered around the orchard with the pheasents and then went along my border eating the hardy fushia and then he layed down in the border and stayed there for about three quarters of an hour. when I next looked out the window he was gone. I got some pics and while I was watching him in the orchard I saw a tree creeper on the big ash tree and snapped a couple of pics of that too.

Hand is a lot better now but I do keep catching it on things now and again. It has bled a bit today but nothing like it did yesterday when I did it.
Yes it is the blackbirds mostly that pull the onion sets up. When we grew loads oh would put them under the earth so the birds could'nt see them. When you plant garlic bulbs you should make a little hole and pop them in because you can bruise the bulb by pushing them in.
