i HAVE CUT THE PALM OF MY HAND OPENING THE GUN. Sorry did'nt mean to shout it............I had sent a reply to an email from Shirl. Oh has put a huge plaster on my hand and it is hard to type.
I opened the gun with my hand in the wrong place and as I broke it the end of the barrel bit has square edges and this is what went into my hand. It's a V shape cut just by the crease that goes across the palm. It bled like anything so oh said it should be clean!!!! :-0

Afternoon All
Gill I am sorry to read your Mum has had to go to hospital.I do hope that she will be home with you soon.It is a good idea to have her stay for a while with you so you can make sure she is well enough to go home when the time is right <3 Hope you will be back with us again soon.
Well we decided it was too nice a day to be sat in a cinema so we haven't been. The Wet and Forget has been done and the lawn has had it's first haircut of the year. It looks really nice now :-D I have managed to throw out another load of photos from another box and have sorted them into some kind of order..Still many many more though to go through :-S I really must get some Albums.
Ann I am sure you will see far more of the procession on the tv.I suppose you could have been standing around for hours waiting for it to come through. At least you will be in the warm :-D
Mandy the I don't know if I remarked on the Jackets you will be making. The children will look very smart in them :-D :-D.You clever Nannie :-D
I didn't see that programme Ann.But I remember the Asian Children who were at school with Hannah and James. They were all very high achievers.Sometimes though I did think that 'education ' seemed to be so important to the parents that the children sometimes seemed to miss out on 'leisure' time.
I love Aloe Vera things.I did have a little Aloe V plant and i would break of bits if I had a cut or sore bit of skin and rub the sap in.it was very soothing :-D Shame I somehow managed to kill the plant :-S :-S
When i was going through the photos today I found several from James's school days and Johnny was in a fair few. :-D :-(.He was a lovely looking boy back then. James always pulled faces and spoiled photos :-S..He still does :-S :-S.
I'll BBL .Just need to get Chicken Tonig** French Country sorted and in the oven.

Just snatching a quick ten minutes to have lunch then I'll go back in the garden. Definitely gardening weather day today, it's really quite warm. There is so much to do out there I doubt I'll even get half way down the garden, but I do want to do the edges and mow the lawn
Sorry to hear about your mum Gill, lucky she's got you to care for her.
I've got the Ta*k Ta*k man coming tomorrow so not sure I'll be on the computer especially if I have to set up this new router.
That's it lunch over so I'd better get back out there.

Afternoon All,
Well we popped to fetch the bark this morning and got 4 big bags so OH is unloading them now as we carried on for lunch after. Then he took the keys back next door as we were holding them while they were away as the council might have needed letting in to do with the builders application while they were away. As it turned out no one came. They brought me some nice aloe vera products for us doing it which was a nice surprise.
OH was undecided about watching the procession when we talked about it last night as it looked like being cold and he thought we'd see a lot more of it on the telly. Now he's recorded it and as it's sunny we shall pop out at about 3.45pm and see if we can park if it isn't too busy where we plan to go. Yes, I would put high heels on Jane if I could stand in them for long!! If I sat on OH's shoulders it would mean a trip to A & E for him afterwards!! :-0
Sorry to hear about your mum Gill. I know hospital is the best place to be till they sort her out having had a trip there myself for similar reasons last summer! It's a good idea she has someone with her after for a few days like you say as well.
Did anyone watch the prog about race the other night? We had recorded it and it was very interesting. They mentioned a junior school in the city near here who's pupils come from 30 different countries and 46 different languages are spoken. Yet these children are doing the best at school! I know when I was at work, the asian staff saw education as a wonderful opportunity and instilled it in their children and expected them not to waste it.

Hi all
Just a quickie to let you all know that I might not be online for a few days. My mum is in hospital, she was taken in today with heart problems, not sure how long she is going to be in and when she comes out she going to be staying with me for a few days. I don't like the idea of her going home straight from hospital as she lives on her own and she's nearly 70. She never takes it easy and I'm worried, so I've said she's coming here so I know she'll at least have a few days of rest.
I'll be back as soon as I can

HI B.LUGS, LOVELY TO SEE YOU POSTING. I ENJOYED OUR LITTLE CHAT LAST WEEK. WILL DO IT AGAIN SOON.
The F & C was wonderful, I also found FOUR MASSIVE PRAWNS in the freezer. so they got thawed out and cooked. I ate three while I was waiting for my COD LOIN to cook. Ros had the other one.
Just finished tea. All washed up. Will dry up and put everything away later. Going to sit down now with a beer.

Maureen you had quite a meal there and it sounded delicious! lol. It's nice to do that sometimes though and really enjoy it. . I'm always getting told off for leaving my secateurs out so they go rusty and could do with some new ones too.......might have a look at the garden centre sale for some when we go for the bark tomorrow!! Glad you reminded me. You got some good buys at the boot sale today. I miss my big bed of Dahlias, they are such bold flowers and go on all summer. Have forwarded you Jane's photo.
That's good the men will knock your wall down AND clear the mess away for you Frank. The new water feature will give the garden a new look won't it. I must admit I like the sound of running water in a garden. You've been busy planting too.....always miles ahead of me!!!
Shame you lost a front tooth Shirl, but nice to hear from you and it's great you had such a good birthday with lots of laughter. Hope the eye injections don't hurt too much on Monday and I hope they are helping.

It's real BRASS MONKEY'S out there. I managed to get the potato's in and the back lawn mowed. My legs and back were aching so much I came in doors.
Ros bought a pair of Sun visor extension's from the BETTERWARE girl, who is saving to go to University. She only charged for ONE so Ros rang her and she was so pleased as she found she was £5.00 down. She called for the money this morning. I only had a tenner and she had no change. I said take the tenner and drop of the fiver some time. I AM NOT ALLOWED to do that. The company says you must not accept a payment if you do not have the change.
"PADDY" and "RASHER" (two local lads who do all garden work) called with the BIG water feature, which they had to bring round in the barrow, one piece at a time. and the galvanized arch. They kindly carried the big bags of compost to the bottom of the garden, and offered to come back in the morning and knock down the small wall and take the rubbish away. I know they won't take anything for doing it, so will leave a few pints behind the bar at the pub.
You certainly had a few bargains there Maureen. Ros is always loosing her secateurs, I find them in the boarders where she has been working, all rusted up and have to be thrown away. I bet she's had 6 pairs since we moved here in 98.
Gill, I have a notice in my deleted emails about solid wall insulation. IT IS FREE. I will look through the deleted file and send it onto you. It tells you how to claim as well I think.
SO it will be "GIVE MY A NAIL AND A HAMMER" then Jane (OLD SONG) when you come to putting up the big mirror (look on Google) you should enjoy it :-D :-D :-D <3 <3 <3
I am the fish man tonight. Ros bought a nice COD steak for me and a nice small TURBOT for herself. Will just dust them in seasoned flour and fry them in oil.
Off to see how WEST HAM are doing they play this evening. 5.30 pm K O.
See you later, BE GOOD.

Gill you mentioned wall insulation I think it is free, isn't it one of those government schemes to save energy for loft insulation as well.
I do that a lot Frank, try and think of somebody's name, it drives me crazy, the latest for me was the actress in Last Tango, I could see her face and knew she'd been in Corrie years ago but her name just wouldn't come I know now it's Ann Reid.
I had a lovely lunch yesterday, absolutely pigged out, after a very fattening starter went on to stuffed peppers with chips, which I never usually eat and then ordered the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and cream, the waitress did warn me it was a very large piece of cake, I just said good, she was amazed that I actually ate it all, it was all washed down with 2 large glasses of wine. Can't do that too often :-0
Thanks Jane for sending the photos to Gill I was going to do it but don't have to now.
Oooh yes, I rather fancied Oliver Reed too Ann, always loved a bad boy.
You and Gordon are so funny, you make a great double act.
Ventured out to the boot sale this morning, first one of the season, it was freezing but I'm glad I went, I got some secauters, I'm always losing mine, the last ones I found in the compost bin, must have dropped them down into the bag with the cuttings last year, needless to say they were no good, two pairs for £6. Bought three bags of dhalia tubers for £2 got a pack of paint brushes (DIY) for a pound, thought I will just use them and throw them away when I've finished and a few other bits and pieces.
I didn't receive any photos :-(

Gosh I hadn't thought about ventilation in those loo pods Ann :-S..They must have surely as it is a very posh place..It is called Sketch (restaurant) Mayfair..I had a look on line this morning and the place sounds very interesting with art works etc.it gives a history about the building to.
Frank I hadn't touched a drop !!!!!! So can't blame that :-D :-D The blinds and lampshades are back up now.Just need the massive mirror and pictures to go on the walls. So we are getting there.
What a Grey Day .Cold wind blowing too.It is whistling like mad through the little open window in the ensuite. The side gate is rattling too.I nipped out to get bird food earlier and there are yet more road works up at the top of the main road by Wicksteed Park :-S.It took me ages to get onto London Rd
Chris is going through a zillion old photos. He is trying to find the very few he has of when he was younger. It is very sad as I think his Dad must have thrown most family photos away after Chris's Mum died and the sister ran away. There are no photos of Chris at all until after the age of 8 and then only about 4 or 5 :-(....He is wanting them for his Memoirs .Haven't even a photo of his Mum or Sister.
I must take the steaks out of the freezer for tonight.I forgot all about them.
Have sent a pic I found of us with our SPECS on for the 1999 eclipse :-D

Afternoon All,
I rather like the pods........providing they have good ventilation fans inside them!! :-S
Frank, I think your bargains take some beating!! We have been putting our old plastic plant pots and trays in the recycling bin for a while now as well as the yoghurt pots. Our council doesn't specify what plastics anymore and we have to mix the plastics, glass and paper that had to be seperate once, all in one bin now. They can see them in the bin which they always open, so hopefully there's no problem. I think I might go back to our garden centre sale as we could do with more bark chips. Ours finishes tomorrow. It will be a shame to see it go after 55 years. Valerie's lucky she wasn't too late for the tree after all this time isn't she.
What lovely, thoughtful grandchildren you have Mandy. Smelling of lemons is lovely!!
Are you using the egg shells as moulds for easter eggs mel?
I called in the dog's home shop on our way back from the village this morning and found some huge OTT earings covered in black, shiny ,metallic leaves for only 50p. I shall dismantle them as the leaves will be ideal for a necklace and bracelet. OH found a pristine book in hardback that only came out last year, Terry Venables,Born to Manage' with a £20 price on the cover for only £1.
Off for a gadabout somewhere now while OH is off to footie. :-D I'll take my camera as there are quite a few trees in blossom now.
