Evening All,

Lovely pics of Merlin and Ian Liz. Merlin has just the same expression my Welsh boy had! He hated the smell of his toenails burning! It always amazed me how dogs seemed really attracted to the bits the farrier cut off. :-S

Well you must be very glad that that's done now Maureen! That trapped wind takes a while to shift and can be very uncomfortable so you were best off at home with your feet up like you said. My friend is on a 3 yearly regime too now, much better! No, those things aren't fixtures are they. I remember taking a shed with us when we sold my first home. Usually people negotiate a seperate price if they want things like that or furnishings.

Gill, that is disappointing, but at least you will be feeling more well by the time you have the next viewing. Don't get downhearted. It only needs just 1 person to want your house. I hope you find some new information on the new trees you now have permission to see. It's always exciting!!

Another water lover here, and as you know I often go walking along the reservoir, river and canal walks near here with my camera. I think it is cooler near water which suits me very well in the summer. I love the sea too, the movement of it can be mesmerising. The breeze is refreshing too with the salty slightly seaweedy smell. I've never been one for lying on beaches much, but I love a bracing walk along a deserted beach looking at what the sea has washed up. We are both water signs Jane. ;-)

That must have been quite magical watching the sun come up over misty water Frank......I must see if I can get up early and get some pics of something like that this summer! OH won't mind coming with me, he loves a walk anyway and doesn't mind getting up early.

We went to Tamworth after lunch today as I wanted to go into Hob*ycraft to get some beads for next Friday's class. They didn't have any to properly match the pendant I have at the place I went to the other day but I got exactly what I wanted today! :-D Of course I bought other things as you do!! Even I was surprised what it came to......it's not a cheap place, but they do have some nice things!! They had some of those fat quarters Mandy used before and that I hadn't heard of till then.

We called at MIL's as it was on the way back and they will be getting a proper ramp fitted up to the front door next month instead of the short little things they have been using which we thought were dangerous. They are liking the new stairlift which is making things easier for them and FIL seemed much better now his BP is back to normal.

Gogglebox is one of my favs too Maureen :-D :-DI have hopefully pressed the right button to record the whole series. Not sure I will get to see it tonight.
Great news then .No more cameras up the rear end for 3 years :-D.What a relief.
I hope no-one heard my language when I dropped those eggs. The air was quite blue :-S.They were lovely free range ones I buy in the garden shop.Good job I wasn't planning a cooked breakfast in the morning.Chris has made some nice bread though for scummy toast :-D

Oh gawd the Chicken has chilli in the rub stuff.I had a little pick when I carved just now and now I have chilli lips :-S :-S

Frank those people flagging down cars in our area have stopped me before.I was offered a gold ring to take one of the men to a petrol station .There were 3 others sitting in a car on the slip road going onto the A14.He said he was German !!!!.German my ar**.They were Not Anglo Saxon(I put it that way ;-))....As soon as he tried to put this ring through the window I was off like a rocket.I saw the same car twice in the following months parked on the slip roads.I wish I had rung the police then.
I bet it is the same gang now :-S :-S :-S

Janice and Larry still haven't arrived.Good job I said dinner isn't just yet :-D.I know she was working until 4 and then I think they had to drop young William off and also the dogs at the kennels.

MillymollyAmanda Report 20 Feb 2015 18:14

Evening all,

Not so much sun today ,it went over so black earlier i thought it was going to pour with rain .

Yes bit of a let down with East Enders ,i thought it would be one of the main actors that killed her ,but i carn't see Jane moving the body on her own she must have had some help, but who ?? and then there's Cathy making a return !! she been dead for years !! :-S

You must be glad it's all over and done for another three years Maureen , just the wind to cope with now :-0 at least being on your own you don't have to worry about getting rid of it :-D must be painful until it's all gone .

Oh Jane eggs make so much mess and are a devil to clean up ,i think it's salt you should pour over them it makes it easier to clean up .

I had some huge eggs from the farm ,all double yolkers £2 a doz .

Hubby was after a yogurt in the fridge the other day ,i had told him to be careful as the pot of single cream was open .....over it went !! i didn't know there was so much cream in one of those small pots !! it went over every shelf and into the salad box before running out the door and over the floor tiles , it's so greasy to clean up !!

It's a shame you don't have a friend who fishes Frank ,you could have gone with them and there would some one to keep an eye on you ! :-D

I noticed soil over our patio ,then i realised it was the birds pecking at the pots ,they don't half make a mess.

Thanks Liz for sending the photo's ,nice to see Merlin again ,and OH too :-D

Lewis is just the same ,still going poor little boy

magpie Report 20 Feb 2015 17:55

Maureen, I've pm'd you! Jane, Merlin hates the smoke that wafts about while his shoes are being fitted. It really stinks and he always tries to pull away from it! Apart from that, he's very good as it is quite a performance!!!

Jane Report 20 Feb 2015 17:50

Lovely photos of dear Melin Liz..Was he a well behaved boy?His ears looked like they were back a little bit :-D.Nice to see Ian too :-D

Yes Frank the Squirrel is beginning to be a right pain in the rear :-S.Chris is always saying it will be a dead one soon same as the bunnies .But so far they are all safe :-D
I really don't like the idea of killing anything. :-(

Well my house doesn't know what's hit it these last 2 days.I don't think I have had a cleaning spree like this for yonks. My poor little hands are all dried out.I hate wearing rubber gloves.
Dinner is in .I have 2 Memphis BBQ style Chicken Crowns,a big tray of charlottes, red, yellow and orange peppers, red onions, mushrooms.Broccoli and Asparagus.James will have his as soon as he gets in as he is off to Jess's tonight.Janice and Larry should be on their way now.I said we would eat at 7.30 as it is quite likely they could be held up with road works somewhere on route.
We will leave here about 10 in the morning to go to Hannah.I have bought some delicious deserts today to take( that is our contribution) plus lots of soft drinks. She has the booze :-DJanice is bringing one of her Broccoli and Stilton Quiches that she is famous for.
Hopefully James and Jess will get to Hannah by lunch time.Jess WILL HAVE TO GET UP !!.Matthew Janice's son will not have too far to come from Peckham. It is such a shame his girlfriend won't be there as I haven't met her yet.But she is in Amsterdam.

Gill ,no reply from my request to see this persons tree. :-S.You are so lucky to have had good responses from people.

How is little Lewis today Mandy? Any less trots?

Fiona ,how did Katherine's interview go this week? I really hope it is good news for her.

My oven is pinging .I think the chicken is cooked.

Maureen Report 20 Feb 2015 17:37

I am feeling much better thank you Liz, I can't take ibuprofen but paracetamols seem to be doing the trick, it should all settle down by tomorrow.

Oh Jane what a nuisance breaking those eggs, I remember cleaning out the fridge once, as the fridge part was at the bottom and the freezer at the top I was bent down, I dropped a couple of eggs and automatically put my legs together to catch them, you can imagine the mess.

I love the sea too and have always had a yearning to live close to the sea but I suspect the idea is better than the reality.

I did send you an e.mail a few days ago Liz, did you not get it, let me know and I will try again, I would love to see a picture of dear old Merlin.

One of my favourite programmes is back on tonight, Gogglebox, I can hear Frank groaning already. Who would have thought a programme on watching people watching TV would be so funny.

magpie

magpie Report 20 Feb 2015 17:13

Frank, we lived by the river when I was a little girl, and I often used to sit on the garden wall and fish for hours. My S.Father was a keen fisherman too, and sometimes we would go up the river early in the morning in our rowing boat to fish. As you say, there is nothing like the river bank on a lovely summer's morning, with the mist, the birds and the peace!!!!
Nice to see you too Maureen. Unfortunately I can't get an email through to you!! They keep coming back as rejected!! If you could send me an email it would get your address into my system and that seems to cure the problem, then I can send you a pic of Merlin!!!! I do hope your feeling better! Being full of wind can be SO uncomfortable till it shifts!!!!

Well it turne3d out a nice day here. Sunshine most of the day. Have you noticed how the evenings are drawing out ?? it was after 5.00 last night before the evening clouds came over.
Maureen. F##t for England made me chuckle, I have a terrible sense of humour !!!

Mel, We have loads of daffs up, buy none open yet. But you are in a milder area than most of us. So we will have ours when yours are gone :-D :-D :-D

I knew there would be a discussion about "BOBBY" Perhaps NICK COTTON carried the body to wherever it was found :-P :-P :-P ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hop[e there's something for me to watch on the other tele tonight, or I will be off down the pub. It's enough to drive a man to drink.!!!

Being a fisherman for most of my life. I could never wait for MIDNIGHT on the 16th June when the fishing season opened. I would be off down the local river at dawn and fish till dusk. I still miss my time at the lakes and rivers. To watch the sun come up and see the kingfishers, grebe's , swans and ducks going about their business with the mist still on the water. You couldn't put it into words. I am thinking of asking Lewis for some of my fishing tackle back. I could get Ros to drop me off at the lake, I could tie a rope round my waist to a tree, so I would be safe. BUT, Somehow I can't see her letting me do it ;-) ;-)

Ros is doing a stir fry tonight, so no cooking for me again. I could get use to this.

Your little squirrel seems to be making a pest of himself Jane, I can see Chris. getting his little gun out, if he keeps digging up your lawn and flower beds.

The blackbirds are throwing all the coloured pebbles Ros puts round her patio pots. The stones are all over the patio. I think they must be after any grubs that live in the soil, or pinching the soft soil for their nests.

Enjoy your evening folks, see you later.

Jane Report 20 Feb 2015 15:32

Maureen at least you had the place to yourself last night lol .Hope the neighbours didn't hear ;-)..Trumpet Voluntary :-D :-D

Well I seem to have been out for ages this morning.I looked at my watch in Tes** and thought it was 1.30 .But it was in fact 2.30 !!.I managed to drop my bag with new eggs in on the front doorstep :-| :-|..So instead of half a dozen,I just have 2 :-( :-(

I have put everything away ,fed the birds AGAIN and am now finally going to get round to cleaning that bathroom...I don't want to encourage the Squirrel any further Gill.Chris gets cheesed off with it digging in the flower beds and lawn as it is.Hopefully by the time new plants go in it will not be so blooming hungry :-D

Right I am going to crack on .BBL

Well I'm glad that colonoscopy is over with, don't have to have another one now for 3 years, yippee, I guess everything must have been okay. The doc puffed a load of air and fluid in so I've had chronic stomach pains, my son, bless him, asked if I wanted to go back to theirs for dinner but I said all I wanted to do was chill out on the sofa and f*rt for England !!!!!

I guessed it was Bobby the minute they started pointing the finger at Jane, I thought I bet it's Bobby and she's covering for him, though how she got her onto the common heaven knows but knowing the soaps they will come up with some ludicrous explanation, don't know why we bother to watch it, it is a load of rubbish.

Thanks for all the lovely photos, sofa and chairs look lovely Fiona, and I liked that weather vane too Ann with the tractor, how lucky Mel to be able to see deer so close and if that squirrel gets any fatter Jane it will get stuck in that feeder.

Hello Liz, nice to see you back on the thread, we have missed you.

It's a bit of a nightmare Gill, selling houses, I know my son has problems now with his buyer, they expected the shed and blinds to be included in the price, they are not fixtures are they, they were both really expensive and not that old.

I have one daff showing colour in the garden and it's nearly out. The birds have pecked the yellow crocus.

Sorry Jane I didn't see your post. You could always record it if you're busy then watch it later. It's the full live episode tonight. Wonder if they'll be any mistakes like Tanya the other day.
Have you thought of a squirrel proof bird feeder, then the squirrel can feed from the one you've got and the birds from the other one.

I think Michelle is learning to type quicker I've just heard another message come through lol

Gillx Report 20 Feb 2015 12:08

I love the captions you sent Ruby......Some of them are so funny :-D :-D :-D

Just going through my emails while chatting to Michelle at the same time, she can't type as fast as me so it saves sitting around waiting for her to send a message.

I've had a couple of trees opened to me today so I might be able to add a few more people to my family tree. They can copy my tree to fill in any gaps they have as well. Have you heard anything yet Jane with the tree you requested to see.

Yes Mel, I feel this week has gone fast too. At this rate it'll soon be spring....hooray, nice weather to look forward to and having my morning cuppa on the patio

Just heard Michelle's reply so I'd better go and read it

Morning/Evening All

Yes I did think it was a bit disappointing for it to be Bobby Gill.I bet it has us all now trying to think how the story is going to go :-D....And there was poor old Nick Cotton lying dead in the house next door to Dot ..Not sure if I will be able to watch tonight as my Sister will be here and no doubt it will be on just as we are eating dinner.

I am another sea lover .Any water really rivers and Lakes too.I don't like sitting on a sandy beach though.Id rather perch on a rock :-D.I never could stand getting sand stuck on me especially in between my toes :-S.I can just sit and look at the sea ,smell the sea and listen to it for ages :-D :-D

What a nuisance to have so many time wasters Gill. :-| :-|
Oh Oh ! I can see the squirrel heading this way.I'm off to clap my hands at it (I've just filled the window feeder !!!!!!!)
Then I have to nip out so will BB this afternoon.

Morning all

Cold and dry here, so far today.

You're up early today Frank. Hope you're feeling ok. At least you got to see some of your programs on catch up, that must of been nice.

Yes I think you're right, there's nothing worse than CARPET WALKERS or TOURISTS as the Agents call them. People who don't really want your property, they just want something to do. Most of the viewing's have been TIME WASTERS I didn't really feel like doing the viewing with only just getting over this bug. I still feel tired and there's a lot of work involved in the viewing's. So in a way I'm glad.

You'd of loved where we used to live Frank, we could see the sea from our house and the first Christmas we were there OH wanted to go down the beach on Christmas Day. Don't ask me why, it was freezing, with hardly anyone around, but he enjoyed it.

I've been thinking about Lucy's killer Jane. Everyone was asleep upstairs so surely someone would of heard something if a murder was being committed downstairs, it wouldn't of been a quiet thing and Ian's property is hardly a mansion.

Then there's the size difference, Bobby is so small. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see what the explanation is tonight. Although it was a shock, I didn't even think of him, it all seems a bit far fetched and a bit of a let down now.

Well, I'd better get going I'm chatting with Michelle online at 11 this morning.

Morning all and evening Kim,

Brighter today and we even have a bit of sun now and again.

So not such a good night for you then Frank, up at 4 40am. I woke earlyish and went back to sleep. When I got up oh had put my clothes on a radiator so they were all nice and warm for me to get into.

Like Mandy said yesterday, I can't believe it is Friday again and we are back to another weekend!! Some weeks seem to go slowly but other seem to race by. I wonder why that is??

Frank Report 20 Feb 2015 09:44

Morning all, evening Kim,

Are all of the East Enders fans satisfied with last nights show. ??? I was quite happy sitting watching the football with a few cans of beers. Stayed out of the way till it was over. I think it's a bit much that most evenings the SOAPS TAKE UP TWO HOURS PRIME TIME T.V. They should put them on after 10 pm. Sorry ADDICTS.

Dry morning here so far, but looks very damp.

I'm also a SEA PERSON. I love to walk along any beach providing it's flat. or along the Prom. You can always say "good morning/afternoon" and always get a reply. or just sit and watch the world go by. YOU DO see some sights. !!

Was up at 4.40 am this morning. Sat a watch "CATCH UP" on some of the programmes I like. Had three large cups of tea. Now ready for something to eat.

Hope baby Lewis is fine this morning, got rid of the" runs"

Gill, It's better to know that they don't want to live in the area, rather than have them tramp all over your house, and then tell you :-( :-(

See you later.

Gillx

Gillx Report 19 Feb 2015 23:31

yes you've got a point there Jane, how did Lucy end up in the woods? Tomorrow's episode is live all the way through, rather than just a few live bits amongst pre-recorded. Should be interesting to watch. Hopefully more will be revealed. Do you think anything will happen to Bobby or will Jane take the blame for him. There still seems to be questions doesn't there?

Hoping to chat with Michelle online in the morning.
I don't have the viewing on Saturday now, the Agent rang me earlier to cancel, saying the woman doesn't want to live in this area. Pity she didn't think about that when she booked the viewing in the first place. Never mind it obviously wasn't meant to be.

Well, I'm off to bed now
