Its 22 degrees here and there is a nice warm breeze and I about to go in the garden and do a bit.
Mandy no we only have the post van on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. They are all parcelled up so I shall go down in the morning.
I have been thinking today was Monday all day untill I thought I had missed the recykling and came to the pc and looked to see which day it was. Very senior moment. It always throws me when BIL comes on different days.

Afternoon all,
Sunny here but I don't think it's as warm as yesterday when there wasn't a cloud in the sky ,there's more wind today keeping it cooler .
Vera hope the migraine soon eases for you ,best not to have to much screen time .
Anng that was good they had some chairs for people while they talked not everyone can stand for long periods, that building goes back some years and fancy so much of the glass lasting all that time .
Mel do you have the post van on a Sunday, I hope you can get your missing bits from the girl .
We've been planting out a few more tomato plants ,my cucumbers look like the sun has scorched them a bit but they are growing and the runners are coming along nicely .
I sold one of my rabbits i knitted yesterday ,I have a little board I put them on and they had only been out five minutes when a chap called and bought one ,he didn't have any change so I had to scrap round to find some but after he had gone I realised I had given him the wrong change and owed him a pound so I've laid it on the side so when I see him go past again I'll catch him ,don't want to rob anyone. I had hair scrunchies on the board too as when I was in the garden last week a lady asked when I would be making them again as her daughter liked them and wanted some more .

Morning all,
I wonder ware our Vera was? I hope you recover completely soon. Not nice being out of it for so long.
the weather here is lovely again with clear blue sky and its 16 degrees and pc says the pollen count is high and its sunny but I can see that for myself.
I was going down the post van today but I have overslept so it will have to be tomorrow now.
Recieved two parcels off amazon yesterday and one I ordered had 4 tiny glass bottles and corks missing and some of the picket fencing so I was'nt very pleased. I did message the girl but hav'nt heard from her yet.

Good morning
I haven’t posted for a few days as I have had a humdinger of a migraine that really knocked me out. It’s still there a bit in the background and won’t take much to bring it back so I’m not staying on the computer for more than a couple of minutes.
It looks as though it’s going to be a lovely day. I hope you are all fit and well. Will be back in a day or two.

Good morning all, looks very windy out there but forecast was to be sunny and warm again today. temp is 9 degrees so far.
The tour of Gloucester cathedral yesterday was very good. Just an hour long but a really good knowledgeable and interesting guide. And he was very good in another way as well. We were a mixed age group, about a dozen in number altogether. towards the end he got chairs out for three of us to sit on while he talked. I find it so much harder standing still to listen than walking. The talk was based on Kings and royalty connected to the cathedral. surprisingly part of the building is original from 679AD, it was built as a monestery by an Abbott. (It later became the Abbey of st Peter). His tomb in the cathedral shows him wearing a type of crown with other sort of royal regalia. when Henry V111 destroyed monestries, because of the supposed Royal connection, Henry was persuaded not to destroy the building and called it a cathedral. There were a lot of interesting facts. After the death of Edward II in 1327, and his burial in the Benedictine Abbey of St. Peter at Gloucester (now the Cathedral) and the subsequent remodelling of the quire – the eastern apsidal end was removed and the window inserted what is amazing is that 80% of the glass is the original. And what is interesting is that all the blue and red pieces are French glass. It is the size of a tennis court.

Morning all,
Nice bright sunny morning here with a clear blkue sky and 12 degrees.
Jumped out of bed this morning with cramp in my right calf (sp) and now it aches a lot so not much gardening today me thinks. I hate it when that happens.
Just the shop to do and I am not sure if Em wants eggs today but will see later on.
Enjoy your day out to Gloucester Cathedral Ann you should have nice weather for it.

It did warm up this afternoon Mel but is chilly indoors this evening. That is the trouble when you have the walls insulated.it keeps the house warm in winter but keeps the heat out in summer.
I bought some plants yesterday and potted them up today.

Evening all,
It's been another dull day here with a little fine rain at times and it now feels cold so I need to put a cardi on .
My back seems a little better today ,last night I hardly knew how to get out of the chair it was so bad ,I woke in the night with pain but this morning it's been much better we had a hair cut and then I went shopping ,thought I would park in town on the way home to save walking up, went into boots for our tablets ,not done so now I will have to walk up tomorrow, no parking in town as its market day .
We've just had a nice ham salad with new potatoes so no cooking only the potatoes.
Hope your dyson part is soon in stock for you Vera .
The roses are now beginning to flower in the garden ,Nice to see a little colour but I see they have some rusty spots on ths leaves so I got a new spray ,rose clear but when I sprayed the leaves the spray was white and its stayed on the leaves but doesn't look very nice so I bought anther different spray and this one was clear stuff so I'm hoping it will help .

I am really cold at the moment I have lost count of the number of layers I have on. I have done a load of washing and sorted out some jeans that were in a spare cupboard which can go to Irene for charity when I walk down later. Waiting for it to warm up before planting up the plants I bought yesterday.

Morning all,
Bright and sunny here this mroning and its 13 degrees.
I forgot to cme on here again yesterday with worrying about my pond filter as I had had it out of the pond three times and its not easy and its rather heavy at a funny angle for me to fetch out with all the pipes and wire netting round the pond. It did'nt work so I unplugged it and left it to do something else. The goldfish in my pond were laying egs yesterday so I wonder if I will get any babies this year although there are so many fish in there I expect they will all get eaten by the big fish.
My good news is that I turned it on again last night after checking the pipes were tight to the skimmer and the filter popped it back in the pond and plugged it in and it worked. I was so surprised but happy also I don't have another job for my pond man as he is working on a large job in Cornwall at the moment.
Pinch and a punch and all that and where did May go????
I have two bids for things on Ebay which end tomorrow so I have those to pack up today as once one bid is on there they will sell.
Must get on as I hav'nt fed the girls yet and I need to do some admin too. Got to go up the top to read the meter and send in my solar reading.
See you later on I hope if I don't forget.

Good morning all first day of summer and it is quite grey outside and 9 degrees. weather forecast was for sunshine but it looks like we have the pre sun misty grey so we shall see if it ever clears. I ought to do a bit more in the garden and, having bought some plants yesterday they need to go in. Other than that there are some admin jobs need attention and I am still working my way round clearing bedroom drawers, cupboards and wardrobes.

Sounds promising Vera hope it is the part you want.
Yes he is called Skinny, I have not seen him for two days now sometimes I see him twice in a day and sometimes I don’t see him for a week. I think he forgets who he has seen when. I actually have never seen him chase a bird

I had forgotten about eSpares Mandy so thanks for the reminder. I've just checked on their website and they are out of stock of the part I need as well. I had another look at the Dyson site and saw the part I want is £60, not £70. Espares want £77.24 so a lot more expensive than Dyson. However I think I'll sign up with both of them for an email when the part is in stock and get it from whoever has it in first. I don't want to be without my cordless vac. for too long
(Paused here to do a bit more checking)
I've just found a site called PartsCentre which has one in stock for £74.98. I just need to double check with OH that I am ordering the right part. As you said AnnG, it was an expensive accident but I thought at first that I would have to pay out for a complete new cordless which would have been a lot more expensive. I am a bit surprised that the part isn't more expensive as it's the bit that makes the whole thing work.
You need your visiting cat to come and keep the birds out of your conservatory AnnG. Did you call him Skinny or have I muddled him up with someone else's cat?
Talking of cats I often wonder if Jane's Thomas is still going strong. She did so love that cat and we had many a laugh together as her Thomas and my Molly could have been twins; both of them hunters and both prone to leave half a rabbit on the patio. Molly died aged 12 quite a long while ago now but I think Thomas was younger and could still be around.
Mandy, how is your back now? I hope the aches and pains have eased up. Just treat it gently for a few days.
I'm coming off the computer now so I'll say night, night and fingers crossed for a good sleep for all of us.
