Just having a nice mug of tea and a piece of Christmas cake. Have finished changing the bed, been up the docs for our pills. They did'nt have my heart pills in so I have to wait till Monday. Hope I don't get heart trouble in that time!!!

How's this for logic??

I go in docs surgery and go to the desk hole thing in the wall where there is positioned a hand s[pray gel which they ask you to use on entering the surgery and on leaving it. So I asked who cleaned the top of the spray where you pish it down. To which the girl behind the counter answered "We don't know when people come in and go out". Right then what is the use of the spray then as when you come in you touch two door handles that have been touched by everyone else that has entered and left. Then you spray your hands with a spray top that has been touched by everyone else and has'nt had it's top wiped with a wipe all through the day. Get your presciptions or see the doc whereby you have to touch more dorr handles and even maybe the seat you sit on. You go out of the docs surgery and go to the desk for maybe another appointment or your prescription. Spray your hands again and go out and use the same two door handles everyone else has used even those who don't bother to use the spray. Ludicrous is what I say. I went down there after washing my hands from doing the chickens but I wonder how many people had'nt washed their hands from coming in from a cow shed or even worse.

You are right Jane. This morning the Hospital told Ros. they wouldn't be able to do it, as the culture needed 24 hours to grow. Ask if she would like to make a complaint against the nurse from yesterday. NO she said, she was so nice, how could I get her into trouble. They also had to cancel another operation because of the same trouble. The doctor explained that the hospital was MRSA free, and wanted to keep it that way. Just got to wait now.

I had a song come into my head last night, and couldn't get rid of it. "ONCE THERE WAS A MOUNTAIN" so repetitive. Just couldn't get rid of it Donavan sang it. It's started again now. THANKS JANE>!!!!

Dinner is in the oven, must keep an eye on it.

Jane, I still have most of my hair, and not to much grey stuff, but then I am a young CHAP.!!!!

HI EVERYONE. hi Jane hope your feeling better soon you have had a rough time and Frank also. What a shame to miss the cinema.I want to see Gullivers Travels in 3d but cannot get out yet and cannot drive my car.

Well excitement by the minute yesterday the people next door have had there house broken into twice and yesterday I caught the fourteen year old grandson breaking into the conservatory door with a screw driver. I went round to take a parcel they were expecting for his birthday would you believe it and there he was trying to break in he threw the screwdriver at me and ran past down the entry. I put the parcel indoors and when I got back home phoned my neighbour who was baby sitting for her unmarried daughter. I told them what I saw My neighbour said I am sure Martins got a good explanation so I thought ok blow you then get on with it.

About ten minutes ago my neighbour came to me and apologised and said she phoned his mum and she looked into his room and found some disks and certain things that had gone missing in a chest he had under his bed. My neighbour said I do not know what to do. Well if he was my grandson I would know what to do. Anyway I do not want to get envolved further.

We had some snow overnight but its rained and washed it away but is
wet and cold now. I am stuck indoors having to rest my leg .I am doing a jig saw someone gave me but its 1,500 pieces and taken up the whole table its just horses stood in a field and so many brown pieces all look the same to me. I have done the outside and that took ages.

I did not realise but I went to that boring Turner exhibition earlier in the year last year with the same funny little man my memory is going old age
creeping on 73 next year . Or is it 72 see what I mean !!!!! Michelle told me.
she said I remember you saying mum.I noticed more wrinkles today coming thick and fast just lately.

We have another problem Yes Mel I will insure the horse my couson left me a bit of money that was a nice surprise .I think I will go on a nice holiday like you. But another problem Sheep died why he was in the care of Cosy Nook and they replaced him with another Sheep almost identical but it did not fool April she noticed after a couple of days he was slightly different down below and did not have a black mark on his tummy. Off shot uncle Bryne to complain and April complained to me on the phone Mr Page murdered Sheep. In fact the sheep died of an infection
and he did have a vets bill which he paid and did not like to tell April and thought she would not notice. She misses nothing that child.
But always comes out on top the poor man said when the baby lambs are born he will give her one. But poor Topsy the sheep he tried to FARM!!! off on Aprils got to go back April said he bit her. Life is so complicated for me. I think I will go off and disapear. I dread the phone ringing.

I feel so sorry for poor Ros .Beryl and I have to wait 6 months for any treatment at the hospital luckily there is a small clinic we can go to for a bit of help but you have to pay. Which we did .

Charles seems to get a problem like us but we get a voice saying something weird and please phone this number I was a bit miffed because we are not surposed to get any calls. Its happened twice this week I just ignore It and hope they get fed up soon. I took some photoes of next doors rubbish. Did anyone see the TV about the 54 stone man
gosh I got out my rowing machine and tipped all the Christmas junk out.
Poor guy what a state to get into . But after a few ops and fat romoved weighing in at a stone a time he was at least mobile.
Had a message off Shirl saying one day at a time. Its awful but at least shes tackling the situation. I would just go to pieces I think. I did when Matt died. If it was my ho I think I would be gutted. Would decline into misery I think. Have a nice evening everyone.

What a waste of time and effort Frank for poor Ros. Just when she was hoping for some relief from the pain. It isn't as if it's 5 miles up the road. I would be upset and angry about it.

Mandy, OH bought some of that smoked Haddock yesterday.....I HATE it, pongs the house out too like you say. He was going to have it today but I said he wasn't sitting breathing it on me in the cinema if he did!!!! lol He's having it tomorrow now......boil in a bag, so hopefully it won't smell quite so much!! lol

No Snow here Frank, but I did see Corby had a fair bit earlier. It is just blooming miserable and wet here.

Hello Charles ,it is nice to see a new name. You are just a couple of years more than me.Luckily my hair isn't falling out lolol.Just have to keep they grey coloured .I don't think there are too many men that manage to keep all their hair.

I had something on my mind last night and it is still there now.
I don't know who said it ,if it was on TV or Radio, but in my head there is someone who says something like
"Are we all together?"
then everyone shouts "You bet your life we are"

Does that ring any bells? It is driving me nuts

I keep getting a phone cal lsaying i have a load agreed and to ring back but who ever it is does not leave a return number to ring back. We just delete the message... its a scam i am sure... its annoying to say the least. as we get several messages a day..Grrrrrr.

Yep great memories from my start date of 1952 and good childhood thoughts up to 1970, down hill now and approaching my autumn years. Hair falling out like leaves on a tree.

It feels quite bitter here and I feel chilly even with the heating on.

Frank that is really bad that Ros will now have to wait again for her injection.I did actually think that yesterday seemed rather last minute to do swabs for MRSA anyway, and then not to have it done properly is not on.I bet she is thoroughly p***** off about it .
I need to do a few things this afternoon ,like wash my kitchen floor which is minging lol.I'd better get mopping.

The Funeral Service is this afternoon at 3.15 and then the Crem at 4.
So very soon now .

Have got two large pork chops out of freezer, Roast pots parsnips, brussels, beans peas and carrots.

It's bad enough to chase up and down, but she will still be in pain. I would expect they have driven 140 miles for nothing !!!! Can't see them paying for the petrol. either.

I've put the heating on so it will be a nice welcome home to her. Kettle has boiled so I will be able to make her a cup of tea.

She says it's snowing quite heavy up there at the moment., are you getting it JANE !!!!

What a todo Frank , poor Ros all ready and then to have to come home again and wait six weeks !!

I hate cooking Kippers , we haven't had any for years because of the smell, it stinks the whole house out and gets into your clothes too.
I don't eat boiled ,poached, fried or scrambled eggs any more ,not since i had food poisoning on holiday from an Omelette, they turn my stomach now .
I hope all has gone well with Fiona today .

Ros has rung to say the hospital won't be doing the injections afterall, as the nurse didn't take the swap correctly yesterday. They are taking more and will write to her when they can fit her in again, could be upto six weeks, from what she said, the nurse concerned is going to get it in the neck. !!! So she will go back to Rutland with Jan, have a bit of lunch and drive home again. Will now have to cook dinner for tonight. and check round to see I have cleared up everything.!!!!!

The custard smell I get. I used to get it when I lived in the previous house also. Also, a smell of pipe smoke !! And I never smoked a pipe.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 7 Jan 2011 11:40

Morning All,

Sorry I am a bit late but I had an enquiry about my tree and got lost in a search.

Rained heavily last night and has been raining this morning.

Love smoked haddock too but we have'nt had it for a while as OH is OFF it at the mo. I do it with poached egg sometimes but don't like mine on the fish.

As to smells being around you I too get a soft perfume come up sometimes and like Mandy I think it is either nan or Gt gran who I know is with me when I do my research because I ask her to help and next day I get something!! A link or a family I could'nt find before. I never met my gt gran as she died 2 years before I ws born. I am the first granchild of her eldest daughter.

I do think there is something in these things that happen to you through life. I seem to have moved to places that the family lived in years gone by but only found out recently since doing my tree.
