Morning all from a slightly white world of winter wonderland.

Frank my thoughts to you and your sister at this time.

Well I made three wreaths yesterday and put them safely in the boot of my car. I hope it is'nt frozen as I shan't be able to get them out. Someone rang for one this morning so thats one the shop won't get cos I get an extra £1.

I did'nt have the heating on all day yesterday as we did'nt need it but turned it on about 9pm for a hour or two.After dinner as OH washed up he said there was a small amount of snow on the roof of his car. When I went to bed there was a covering on the car. This morning the road is covered but not the grass so I suppose there is about a quarter of an inch.

Must press on today with you know what and glad I picked some green stuff yesterday.

I just got the last half hour of The Royal Performance.(didn't realise it was on).
The cast of Les Miserables were brilliant ,and had me weeping ! And then Take That and I was bopping lol.Chris just rolled his eyes and said he was off to bed lolol
I am off now .I think I will flick the switch to keep the heating on tonight...Brrrr!

So sorry to hear about your sister Frank. I'm sure she knows you will be thinking of her. Let's hope she will be ok.

Well we had lamb chops with potatoes, carrots, swede, cabbage and broccoli. Stewed apple for me with custard....OH had sliced banana in his.

The bungalow looks lovely now......even the bedroom has a tiny (I mean tiny!) xmas tree on the window sill. Snow outside too.......I feel a bit christmassy at last!

Night, night, off to bed now......I have to be at the hospital for 8.00am tomorrow for the last 2 tests for the study!

Frank,you won't be having the same as me tomorrow.We are having Pasta....I don't think you like that do you?We still haven't eaten as Chris has not been in long.Hopefully will dish up in 10 minutes.................I am blooming starving.

SNAP Jane, It seems everything I have for dinner you COPY. Haven't decided what to have tomorrow, but will let you know, when you tell me what you are having. It's bound to be the same.We had the remains of yesterdays chicken in one of Ros's curry's.

Thanks for your thoughts FRIENDS. it is appreciated. Have let the rest of the family know the situation. But nothing we can do, but wait.

Eeee By Gum,it's flipping freezing out there.Just back from the station,lots of cars with snow on,and some idiot drivers around !
Hannah's Aussie friend is definitely coming to us for Xmas ,so I'm glad I bought a couple of gifts for her.Can't have her watching us all open presents and not have any herself.Hannah met her when she went to Croatia in the summer.
Curry tonight,just the job on a night like this.It makes me sweat just to smell it lol

So sorry to hear about your sister Frank, at least she has her daughters with her ,which must be a comfort for you to know she has someone with her and she's not on her own ,will be thinking of you over the next few days .

Hubby's been for his check up at the dentist ,all's fine and he has to go back in six months .

We've had a covering of snow , great big flakes at times , but the roads are all clear .

Frank,I'm sorry to hear about your Sister.It must be so hard for you being so far away.It is nice that her daughters are with her at this difficult time.

It is snowing heavily here now and quite windy too.I think the ground is maybe too wet for much to lie though.We wait and see.I have to pick Hannah up from the station at 6 30,and Chris is off to work in a little while to do evening surgery.

I spent ages in town this morning ,but got some bits and bobs and those extra presents.I also made sure I got potatoes ,veg ,etc to see us over the next few days ,just in case it gets too snowy to drive.

My neighbours are flying back to East Midlands Airport this evening.I hope they get home safely.

Mel I'm glad you are feeling more festive now.How many wreaths are you doing?

JUST started to snow here and the temperature is dropping like a stone minus 6 tonight.

I spoke to soooon this morning, about not going out.

Ros rang the Doctors to make an appointment for my bloods and blood pressure. thos was 10.45am Can you be here for 11am. ?? Yes she says. So had by tests done, then as she had me in the car, off we went to Town. M&S have an offer today ONLY. wrap around sort of cardigan £10.00 each instead of £35.00 I had to queue for one and she queued for another. She then gave me the bags and sent me back to the car, while she queued for another for Conrads partner. Then off to Matala# for a FAIRY OUTFIT for Jan's G'Daughter. tiny dress, headband and wand. Still not finished !!! she drags me off to Tesco. got home about 2.15pm.

Just had a phone call from my niece in Scotland. My eldest sister 89. has just had another servere STROKE. Ambulance took her to hospital, she is in a COMA. They are keeping her sedated and they don't expect her to last a day or two. Her other daughter has flown up from Kent. and the two girls ( both over 60) still girls to me !!!! are staying at the hospital. Theres not a lot I can do, other than wait for the outcome. On Tuesday, her daughter took a couple of photo's with her in her new nurseing home, to be sent with her christmas cards to the family, she was quite chirppy then and looking forward to Christmas. She was at my niece's home on Sunday for the day and enjoyed herself.

Had someone call for eggs. Went in uti room to get them and there was a wren in there. Served the lady and went back in there .....no wren.

Did some wreath stuff and then lunch but as I moved across the kitchen the wren was on the top of the cupboards. Tried to open the door to let it out and it went under pc desk right at the back where I can't get to. Got the duster on a stick out and chased it away and it went up the top of the cupbaords again having left me a little present on the chopping board!!!!!!!! OUt came the anti bac stuff to clean that up. Anyway did lunch and no sign of it. OH fast asleep so his is still on the table under a cover. Also all the time I had the back door open it is lashing with rain and sleet and the wind is blowing like mad and I hav'nt got the heating on!!!!!!!!

Think it is out now but not untill 2.15pm. OH still asleep so getting on with my wreaths again now.

Afternoon all,

I just typed a whole bit and then the computer shut down to configure updates !!!!!!!

So in a nut shell
Pouring with rain here ,went to town with son and DIL ,,got soaked through ,son bought all his christmas shopping ,and now i've got to wrap them !!!

Tooths ok today , hubby's got check up later and we're having fish and chips for tea ,so no cooking for me .

He's coming on my Son's birthday as well as Franks!! so it's BOUND to be OK!!!! Duppy and brush?!! NOT thank goodness!! So sorry to hear about your vertigo Jill, that is really wretched, my mother used to suffer from it, so I know how rough it can make you feel, do hope it clears up. Mandy, I had my teeth cleaned the other day and yesterday one of them was very achy and sore; I use Corsydel mouth rinse, and that seems to work well, tastes a bit grim, but for me does the trick. You can get Corsydel toothpaste, but that is really foul, a step too far for me!!! raining hard here, and blowing, birds are looking flustered and vaugely squabbling! Mel, we have two Robins, one of which is very tame, the other isn't though as the tame one constantly flies at it and generally beats it up given the chance, (I shout at it and flap my arms!!!) trouble is they are SO territorial, no one else gets a look in! haven't seen 'lady blackbird' for a couple of days, hope she's ok, always get worried when we don't see her fo a while!!! nearly soup time, must go and put it on!!!

Been up our village shop and they are screaming for my wreaths!! Shall get stuck in now and see if I can get a few done. So shan't be around much unless I get sore fingers!!

Liz your Dyson man is coming on Franks birthday so perhaps that will make it all good again.

Have just posted, hit a wrong key and off it all went! so start again!!! You're right Frank I should be fiercer, I would have been once, but age seems to be wearying me a bit!!! Dyson rang from Minehead, and can't come till Wednesday 22nd! I expect by then it'll be thick snow so ancient Vax will be in use over Xmas!! no point getting upset, won't do any good and bad for the blood pressure!!! My disolvable Asprin arrived this am at the village shop, so that's one good thing; I'd bought my own so now have loads!!!! Sky very dark and threatening; done all outside jobs, OH to do the 'muck' this morning and get down enough hay for the duration (snow) then battoning down the hatches. Got the Salt!!!! Have had a card from friends in Holland, am now going to TRY to translate it!!!

Off to meet old work friends for lunch leaving in 15 mins and that is my last christmas lunch out , I think!!! unless someone else makes a date.
we have had snow already this morning but was only a few light showers might be heavy this afternoon, suns out now.

La La di La La, I have been up since seven this morning, I don't get hangovers, red wine is a different matter.

Rain here, and a cold North East wind. Apart from the chickens, heres one little boy who won't be going out today.
