1.58pm

Still the page only goes up to 330. I tried reporting it but don't know is they take any notice.

Still dark and miserable here, but not cold. 5 degrees. down to plus 1 tonight.

Tomorrow looks like snow and high winds.

1.55pm.
Found this the other day. Originally from a church.

Dear Lord,
So far today, I am doing alright.

I have not gossiped, lost my temper, been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or self indulgent. I have not whined, complained, cursed or eaten any chocolate.

I have charged nothing to my cedit card.

But I will be getting out of bed in a minute, and think that I will really need your help then.
Amen

Your life sounds very interesting up there in Brum. Nothing ever seems to happen down here in Devon or we don't see it living behind this high wall.

Hope your feeling a bit better now .

Hi everyone guess I have given up on this web site I could not go any further than 330 twice.

I tried very hard to get on aol and no luck so I am going on what I have read last night.
THANK YOU Fiona for the christmas tree card arrived this morning a lovely card. I am glad everyones had my cards now and enjoyed them .Customers and friends have been ringing saying you went all glittery this year that was April glitter and fairies she said when giving me a helping hand to make about 47 cards. Husband said when did you make all those he was in everyday and that is what I was doing most evenings he did not notice men!!

I went to the city of Brum today to the hedgehog that being where Jane wanted her perfume from off Fritz.. I drove half way and then took the bus
the traffic was dreadful. No carol singers just men playing tom toms. I used to like in the old days the baked potatoes cooked on hot ashes and carol singers .Now it all geared up for the foreigners.

People teach how to avoid Diabectic 2 but I think some doctors should take lessons according to another doctor I was suffering a bad effect to that tablet I took and my glucose level was right down before I took that tablet.I am now on a slow releash tablet 25mils. I feel a lot better but shakey still.I had toxic poisoning .

Shirl that fire was nasty reminded me of my episode gosh will be very careful thanks for that . That ladies face was awful.

Sophia made it up about her broken elbow and a fall to go shopping and is not working at the moment silly lady .Why not ask for the time off.
Beryls got Donnie back running around after her. He was love sick she said.I chose not to comment . He was out of money I think they went Christmas shopping and he came back with all kinds of things for himself guess who paid. Not Donnie.

I hope the Secret Garden will be nice I have seen the film.It is about a girl who goes to live with her uncle after living in India and the uncles son is in bed unable to walk. There is a garden but the uncles wife died there and its shut up.The children find the key and do the garden up and they make the little boy get up and go there. I cannot amagine it with music but lets hope April likes it!!! .Such a tantrum over the ballet and she wanted to go in the first place .

My christmas tree will come early from Scotland due to the expected bad weather. Jessy and April are arriving Friday until after Xmas with uncle Brin
and Ryan and his friend a guy from New York called Beanie I do not know why he may have a bean stuck out of his head with the funny people I have met just lately. I went to the doctors yesterday and a little man about 4ft came in and could not get on the chair and he asked me to sit him on it.
Then a dog outside got to excited with another dog and had a accident with his bit and I had to phone the vet gosh that was a site but all was well later.the dog ran off happy and meanwhile I was having a hot flush with panic the vet lady thought it very funny she did not see the object.

Must go ,does anyone remember Fuzzie Felts I have just been given twelve boxes to sort out for the shop they are all mixed up some job for me
later but for now I am off to lunch with Beryl the Peril will count her moans and say nothing lol.It is Chinese but no toffee banana for me Beryl will have to eat the lot herself if she insists on having it It is a pain having a diabetic problem me who was very careful but I was told my dad had it and it is old age .Life is a bind sometimes and cannot wait for the end of this year still next year could be worse. have a nice day everyone.

Really enjoyed Pompei last night, those poor people, what a dreadful death, and the pre natal baby, so SAD !! learning about how these people lived their every day lives was fascinating, so much so that I managed not to go to sleep!! Dyson man due in 1/2 hour. He rang this morning, but isn't sure if he has another motor, as deliveries are way behind at the Post Office!! doesn't sound hopeful!!! Car ready for collection, so will do that this pm. Lovely day here, calm before the storm?!!!

Morning one and all,

Jane hope you enjoy the film. Think I have seen it advertised on the telly and quite fancied seeing it.

Sun is shining here but there was a frost last night.

Must turn the chicken mash off as it has been on for a while and is smeling the kitchen out. OH will think I am making veg soup again and I don't want to get his hopes up today as I want to get on with wreaths and posies.

Ann glad you FIL and MIL are pleased with there car. I wonder how long it will be before they start saying "It's not like the old one" etc. Hope they get on with it ok.

Morning Frank ,and all
It is a murky one isn't it.There is that very fine rain in the air.Not even drizzle.Perfect morning for the cinema I think. The film starts at 10.30 so I will be home by lunch time.
Our Postman is lovely Frank .I don't know his name though. Our old one was Bob who was and still is a patient of Chris. He was fantastic, and would do absolutely anything for anyone. He has even driven his van to the surgery before to get house keys from Chris when I had locked my self out.Jump started my car a couple of times when the battery was flat.
It is very dark here and seems to be getting darker.
Must get on as I am off at 10.15

Murky morning here, but not too cold. DIL is coming down lunchtime, they will be off shopping about 2pm. We don't need anything, so hope she dosen't go buying.

True to his word, the postie found and bought Ros's parcel yesterday. I see in our local paper last night that a Local concillor went to the sorting office to see how it works. It looks like it DON'T.

Annx Report 14 Dec 2010 23:51

Jane, FIL used to start it up on the front and leave it to warm up a bit while he got sorted out and waited for MIL etc. Unfortunately, the exhaust was right next to the open slatted dividing fence and pointing straight across at the next door neighbour's window. As the neighbour likes his fresh air the window was often open and in the end he had to ask FIL not to do it as they were being GASSED!!! lol

I don't think the old car has done 30,000 miles yet from new Mandy and it is the old F reg so it must be about 1988, 22 years old. They have had it from new, but I think all the overuse of the choke, revving it so hard when cold and short runs haven't done it any good!! The mechanic who services it has told them in the past that FIL overuses the choke and should get it up to working temperature each time they go out......think it falls on deaf ears.
They are ringing someone tomorrow to collect and scrap it.

I'm off to bed now.......OH has a sore throat, so no goodnight kiss for him tonight!! Night, night xx

Jane Report 14 Dec 2010 22:10

Well ,LOL Ann,I have had a good chuckle reading that.I can just picture it .I bed the neighbours were having a good gawp.
So much for me settling down to watch Pompeii ............I nodded off

I better get off to bed quick before I wake up too much .
Night Night everyone xx

Oh dear Ann, that reminds me so much of my Dad ,he was the same in the car ,to many rev's and looking round and not where he was going,
In the end the car had stood on the drive for a year ,when it went for the MOT he had done about 10 miles !!! since the last MOT ,we talked him into giving up driving ,but he said well the car is there if i need to go any where, but i have hit the kerb!! once or twice so i suppose i'am not safe really .

What will happen with their old car ? sounds as if the engine has had it .

Annx Report 14 Dec 2010 21:22

OH took his parents to collect their car this afternoon. He wasn't looking forward to his 89 year old dad following him in a car he'd never driven. All went well apparently, although FIL left the 5th gear well alone as he'd never had one before!! I said to OH that it wouldn't surprise me if he never did use it!! When they got back with the car, FIL was going to leave the old car on the road, said it was taxed. 'What about it not being insured' OH said. 'What if someone runs into it parked on the road and wants to exchange insurances and it is reported that you don't have any?' That made them think twice and decide to put the new car on the road instead. OH said I'd have been mortified if I'd been there. He said FIL started up the old car (always uses too much choke and far, far too many revs) He said the biggest black cloud appeared from the back end of the car and he could hardly see up the road for it. He said MIL was busy as usual at the back of the car and in the midst of the cloud, guiding FIL reversing into position at the front of the house. OH said he expected her to emerge covered in smuts like in a tv sitcom. To top it all she had left the front door and door to the lounge wide open while all this was happening and when they went in for a cup of tea, OH said it was like fog in there with all the petrol fumes and exhaust. He said it smelt like sitting in the reception area of a back street garage . Still........... they are thrilled to bits with the new one which is good and it is much smaller, easier to park and cheaper to run than the old one.

Thank you David. Your experience seems typical these days, you only have to look how many doctors appointments are broken. Some people just can't be bothered to be courteous and let people know if they change their minds or are unable to make an appointment. The estate agents aren't covering themselves with glory either. I know I sound like an 'oldie' now, but when I was at work, if a customer rang and said someone hadn't rung them back as promised, the manager would have that someone in his office for a talking to!!!

Annx Report 14 Dec 2010 20:37

Nope, the music notes have turned into question marks. Why do they spoil our fun, eh??

Mandy, the cakes look so good......OH would go for the one with the marzipan fruits too!! Thank you for your tip on cleaning the pan, managed to get the last of the burn off this morning. Was going to try Mel's tip next if it didn't work so thank you Mel too.

Liz, I have EM you.

Jane, I think Mel and Liz would agree with me that often the smaller the pony. the BIGGER the attitude!! lol
