Hi Everyone,

We didn't get up till about 10.00am.........I was still awake at 3.00am. My bodyclock seems to be all out of tune. I used to be up at about 7.00am when OH was at work. Now I can't get to sleep at night or get up in the morning!! lol

We did some house jobs this morning then went to a nearby garden centre and bought one of those globes with snowflakes in I loved as a child. This one just had a nice Chaffinch in the middle. It's sitting next to the glass parrot in the hall at the moment. While we were looking at the decorations I saw a little Robin ornament on skates sat in snow as it had slipped down. Silly me getting my words wrong as usual meant to say to OH, 'look it's doing the splits' only it came out 'look it's doing the splats' !!!!!! Oh's face was a picture, memories of that cow came back I think, couldn't stop laughing and ended up wiping his eyes with his hanky. He says I'm 'priceless'

Hope Chester is ok again now Jane after the trouble with his legs. We noticed the biting cold when we set off for home. We were going for a walk after, but decided it had got too cold. Brrrr.

No more snow flurry's ,just bright sunshine here .

David that's a lot of snow , have you stocked up so you don't have to go out ?

You mind how you go Frank ,watch the leaves on the paths ,they can be slippery with the frost .

Fiona, our christmas decorations came out of the loft a week a go ,at the moment they are in the front bedroom , and thats were they'll stay , i don't put mine up untill about a fortnight before christmas .

Oh David.
I'm glad I'm not living in The North East of England now ,I remember as a child the bitterly cold winds coming of the sea as I walked along the promanard, mind you I would drather have cold wind sometimes than the wet wet rain that we have in Scotland it seems to sink into your bones on a cold miserable gray day. fortunatly it's still bright & sunny but cold here.
I hope we are not in for another winter like last year we had -11 some nights.

Out for dinner tonight, at one of out Local attractions. called Chatelherault Lodge, it is a big tourist place in lovely woods , has a resturant and craft shop. so after dinner I can go round and visit the shop and craft stalls, I'm hopeing to pick up a few Christmas pressies.

Sky is now looking full of somerthing !!! Have got to walk round to the doctors to pick up our months supply of tablets. (TWO BAGS FULL)

We had sleet yesterday then a bitterly cold night.
Five inches of snow fell.

Morning Everyone.
There is a real bite in the air this morning.My face is still cold from the walk.It was lovely and sunny then but now it is weird looking.Maybe it is full of snow!!!!.
Frank we are only going to Stanmore Middlesex off the M1 for the wedding.So we should be fine.It looks like it will be a decent day on Sunday and then turn bad on Monday.
I have lost my bird feeder.The squirrel brought his friend yesterday afternoon and demolised it lol.I think for the moment I will just stick to the fat cakes and fat balls.The Magpies are as bad as the squirrels.
Off to get a coffee to warm up a bit.BBL

oooo it's cold , had a few fluttering of snow but it didn't come to anything.
Not going out today, want to get all the ironing out the way so the back bedroom is clear for OH to bring the xmas decorations down from the loft next week.
OH says my decorations sort of just appear over the first week of December , I clean and dust each surface then start puting out the christmas orniments and candles as the week goes on and then OH puts the tree (real one) up about the 18th December. then we turn the radiator of in the living room and just use the fire or the tree will have dropped before christmas even comes.

We've had little balls of powdered snow on the frost this morning. They look like those peppermint pips without the pink ones!! Sun is shing too and I have just fed the wild birds as they did'nt have much out there.

We have had a little flurry of snow over night and this morning ,i can see it on the cars ,but the roads ,paths and gardens are snow free, i think it is because they were wet from the rain we had in the evening .
It doesn't seem to be freezing out there .

Toby went out and had a wee, when he came in he had snow on his back which he then went on to shake over me !!

Off to do some shopping later so i hope we don't get any more snow .
Anyone else got snow ?

Just caught up with your posts.

OH started on the study today so he moved his desk after putting up some coving round the ceiling one side and moved his desk over there. We have had the internet off all day so I have'nt been able to see your posts or write any.

Sheila I do hope the doc keeps his eye on Jessica well if she is not eating. Just remind her when you speak to her that it is part of Matt that she is carrying and he would want her to eat for the babies sake. I do hope evrything goes ok for her. My thoughts and prayers are with her.

I have managed to get a bit more stuff away in cupboards and got the cleaner to do me a bit of ironing today.

Her sister in law came this morning and measured the windows in our bedroom as she is shortening the curtains I bought and making me frills to go over both windows out of what she cuts off the bottom. I was hoping for a bit of fabric left to make a couple of cushion covers but not sure now if I will get any. Also forgot to ask about how much it was going to cost me!!

Ann it is so nice to come home and put on sloppy clothes. I do exactly the same thing! Otherwise I start the dinner and always get some oil on my jumper or tomato which is awful to get out if it has dried.

I have to make the advent ring for this Sunday for church so you won't see me much until it is done. I have managed to find my stubb wires and wire cutters and other bits needed and now I just have to find the stand I oput it on else I shall have to use one that is already in the church.

I see there has been SNOW in Luton, Beds. could be heading ourway Jane, so look out. No.1 son predicted this weather over two weeks ago. Should keep it to himself.
Where have you got to go on Sunday Jane, SCOTLAND !!!! ??? I don't think anywhere south will get that bad. Just trying to get out of it. lol

I ordered something off Ebay yesterday lunchtime. and it arrived 10.am this morning. Service or what !!

Maureen you should get those DVDs tomorrow, posted yesterday.

Evening All,

What a perishing day. We were looking at a garden centre near Nottingham today and they had a new pets section, so we had a mooch round. The animals all looked warm and cosy with their little houses full of hay and woolly stuff. They had some chickens outside too, fancy Bantam types, but different to Mels. One was light brown with white speckles. Then we called at a Wy*ale garden centre on the way back and I used my £8 in vouchers to get a nice Skimmia shrub, variegated leaf and deep pink flower buds. We had a bite to eat there, then It was nice to get home and be inside in the warm and in some comfy old clothes!!!.

Glad you didn't have to wait long for your xray Mel and at least you don't have to wait long for the results. Hope your next journey there is easier.

Mandy, sounds like you may get the white stuff first!! After all those years of no snow, now we're getting it 2 years on the trot.

Oh Heck! Mandy.Have you got your shovel ready lol.It may be heading your way.
I just hope we get to this wedding on Sunday.I think it will be ok as it looks like no snow that day.
