Oh NO Mel, I don't ride at all any more! I used to years ago, but not now, it's too far to fall!!! and I'm too OLD! I go in the trap though which I love. You should see us, Derby and Joan, plus their faithful hound!!! I'm sorry to have missed the freebie yesterday, I could have looked up the 1881 census in Reading to see if Jane R DID go there to live or not. She and John Lane died at Wynchcombe, so, if they did go to Reading, they must have gone back to Wynchcombe again!! I don't know, that woman has been the bane of my life!!!! begin to feel that I don't awfully care!!!!

Bright sunny day here, not going to back class today as I want to start exercising again at home and build my self up for next week since I have been ill I have not been able to do the strenthing exercises, if I don't build up gradually I'll be shattered if I throw my self into it again.

Have had a letter from the Hospital, OH's appointment is for 10th Dec !! seems quite a long time to wait, but was assured when I rang that he is considered not to be at immediate risk owing to the low aggressive rate of the cancer. So, there you are; presumably they know best! Have fronted neighbours up (in writing!) and told them in no uncertain terms that until they produce some evidence to prove their 'allegations', in other words provide us with a Surveyors Report that contradicts ours, we are not prepared to waste any more money on 'If, buts and maybe's', the whole thing is quite ridiculous as they simply refuse to have a survey done themselves, insisting that we have a joint one with them!! without any proof whatsoever that this is what is needed! 'You're the complainant, YOU provide the evidence to substantiate YOUR claim'?!! Enough of moans! It's a lovely day here today, OH plans to ride Merlin and I'm taking Millie!!

Love the New name for Chris Frank lolol.He seems fine this morning.I think an early night and a jolly good sleep has done the trick.

It is soooooo foggy again.I do wish people would remember to turn their HEADLIGHTS on.Makes me mad!

Maureen, I liked the DVDs, Pathe news will the chap that used to read it in the Cinema news back in the 40s/50s. His voice drage on a bit, but there is a lot of things, I didn't know about. When I'm finished with them would you like me to send them on, you seem to have my leftovers LOL

Frank ,I think Chris is just knac***d .He has had a couple of rather stressful days (with work ) and another girl at work who has Breast Cancer.They are very close,and he was quite upset.He is counting the days now to his retirement (2 and a half years) !!! I think he has had enough now.
He has just shouted through .....I can't wait lolol

Mines gone back to 1 reply box again and the times of the posts are back......in fact it is back to where it was before they touched it!

Thanks for that Frank, I read somewhere the other day that Sony was good because you can get more free downloads or something. What is it that you like better on the PRS 505 rather than the PRS 600? I suppose they light up like a computer screen so would be good for reading in bed. OH would like the fact you can change the print size too as he has a cataract.

What a shame you have to miss it Jane. Might they let you go another night if you explain what has happened?

I must be the lucky one, nothing has changes YET. It seems silly that they need to alter it.

Ann, I have a Sony PRS 505. my frien had the latest 600. and didn't like it. so changes back to PRS 505. I've started reading "RED OCTOBER" 467 pages. The great thing about this is you can change the size of the print. So for me, its just fine.

Sorry about Chris not feeling well Jane, and you having to miss the show. Can you ring the Box office and explain, what's happened, you could get a Doctors note !!!!! to prove your not pulling a fast one, they then might give you a refund !!!!

I went to Northampton Theatre a while ago to see Joseph, it's very nice there. Hope you enjoy Calendar Girl Jane. On of my birthdays presents is tickets for a show of my choice. Daughter listed about 30, now I can't decide which one.

i am so glad other people re-cycle christmas cards and its a great idea to make christmas tags.I once in the charity shop was looking through a pile of old Christmas cards and found inside one a cheque for 50 pounds in the card it said from Charlotte happy christmas Nana Wood. We held on to the card until someone called in the shop and showed some i.d but it was 6 weeks after christmas.

I keep the handmade ones I get because a lot of work goes into them.

Does anyone remember Lisle stockings a lady bought some stockings into the charity shop she had kept since 1939 they smelt of moth balls and also an old stone water bottle it was crock. I remember I had one put in my bed to warm it. We at the shop put a notice in the window asking for anything to do with the war years. Have not had many ,people have died or just do not keep stuff that long. One lady said instead of lollies when children they sucked carrots on sticks. This same lady remembered Empire Day when everyone had union jacks and marched waving them.

Fancy that little boy of four finding that treasure of gold with a metal detector I had one of those and all I ever picked up was a silver thimble very battered but was not worth anything. He found a locket of 1500 with christs crown of thorns on it and its worth 51million pounds.

Sorry you did not get to see Calender girls Jane was it with Lynda Bellingham loved to see it. I saw the film. Well I am told Jedwood is in Im a celeb tonight by a lady who claims to be related so that should be interesting if she is right I shall moon over Nigel Havers cannot wait to see him in Panto with Joan in Dick Whittington. Sorry Joan I love you but wish I could meet Nigel and why did I dream of Orville he is in it also.

Just read that why it was free to search today between 1-30 to 3-30 was because this was the time the Suffragettes stormed Parliament for the right to vote!!!
You never know they might do it again , we'll just have to keep an eye on the home page , it was just by luck that i noticed it !!!!
