Derek you mentioned the deaths of the young in a recent message. In the grave of Oliver Fox and Ann nee Clarke in the welford Road Cemetery in Leicesterthere is record of the following sad occurance of young deaths. 11 wks, 8 mths, 3 mths, 7 mths, and these all in the same grave! All Foxes or Fox decsendents. Fortunately this headstone is still standing, whereas many in WRC have toppled or been laid down 'for health and safety' reasons. |

hi Pamela..good question, but I think it's quite simple...the daughter Mary died very young, as i told you.....and i think that they called Mary number two in memory of her elder sister...but added the Ann........It happened a lot...indeed quite often parents called their next child after the one who had just died. |
