yes I suppose you could be right they did adopt one child maybe the other, will pass the details on to him and he can decide whether to send for the certificate or not.

looks like Albert's real surname might not have been Bartholomew

If Albert Edward was born in 1882 and Edward and Marian married in 1883 might he not have been illegitimate? Mother Marian/Marion/Mary Ann Greest - father maybe not Edward? Maybe another chap called William Henry ______ ??

I have Edward's marriage to Marion and even Edward's baptism but cannot find anything for Albert that 1903 marriage looks so right but the father's name is not William Henry.

Hi everyone,

you are right Frank Flack was taken in as a baby then by 1911 "adopted" and name changed to Donald Bartholomew, his son is trying to find out details of his life so I thought if we could find out what happened to their natural son then his ancestors might or could have pictures or information of his father as a child.

yes I have discounted the 1911 Census of Albert and Hilda it matches perfectly but looking at the marriage cert it clearly states father is William Henry
such a shame.

Hi everyone,

am trying to find this person for a friend, he living with parents Edward plumber and mother Marion in London in 1891 and 1901 Census, but cannot find a marrige, death or him on the 1911 Census.

There is a marriage for an Albert Edward in 1903 to a Hilda Fitch and they are on the 1911 Census, however thanks to Ancestry photocopying the LMA records the certificate shows the father as William Henry not a plumber, Edward in 1911 is still a plumber and living at 62 Rosaline Road Fulham in fact he died there in 1924.

I wondered if anyone could see what happened to Albert.
