I am wondering if it is possible to find out who is currently living at an address?

If someone is willing to look this up for me, can you pm me and I will give you the address.

Thankyou

Have you thought of writing to the address?

Thnks for replying Erika.
Its a family matter.A relative who has recently passed used to live at the adress in question but someone else in the family got their hands on it...long story.

im curious to know if it has changed hands or if the said family member is staying there themselves. The elderly relative passed away in a care home.

i did search them on the electoral role but strangely they havent been on there since 2012...so curiosity has got the better of me.

You could put the address into Zoopla. That will tell you the last time it was sold via an estate agent. https://www.zoopla.co.uk/house-prices/
The sold prices are from the drop down list under House Prices

If you don't mind paying c£4, you can look it up on the Land Registry, certainly in England & probably covers Wales.

Have you tried the online phonebook? https://www.thephonebook.bt.com/person/

I looked up the property on Zoopla and its very strange as there is no sales history meaning it hasn't been sold in years.
I have seen a picture of the house with a car outside so looks like someone is def staying there.

Oh well the plot thickens...more investigating to be done

It isn't HA/Council owned, is it?

Hi Florence
Zoopla is not totally reliable. My old house has no sales history either but we sold it in 2013 so don’t assume the house hasn’t been sold because it is not showing on Zoopla.

Oh thankyou Vera, that's useful to know.

The elderly relative had lived there most of their married life so 30 yrs plus and they owned it ...not a council house.

Try RightMove. I think it's better than Zoopla. Most properties appear on their list about one month after the sale is finalised.

Don't forget that people can opt out of the public electoral register. I do not show as living at my current address.
