Can't read message from Elizabeth03 ?

I have received an email from member Elizabeth03 and clicked on "Click to read message". That takes me straight to Inbox but the message isn't there. I would hate to think that she would assume that I was ignoring her, so hopefully she will read this and know that there is a problem.

I have had several emails in the past year indicating that they are from people offering to share their tree with me or asking me to share my tree, but the message is not in the Inbox.

I'm afraid that I have not attempted to follow up any further because I don't want to share my tree or share their tree without a much more detailed "conversation" about it.

Thank you Sylvia. I did wonder if it was something like that, but just in case it was a genuine error I didn't want to just ignore it. I know what it's like waiting for a response that never comes!

This has happened to me in the past, and someone told me it was because the sender had sent the message, but then deleted it again.

Seems reasonable, but don't know if it's correct or not.

If its via your usual personal email box the message wont appear there,you have to be signed in on this site and use GR message box.

Use the site system **Messages** at the top of the board.It may appear there and should display and envelope,cllick the envelope to open it.

The site had a glitch yesterday and no envelope is visable.

None of the messages I mentioned in my post above appeared in the Messages Box.

I'm always signed in to this site, but have discovered over the last many years that does not mean that you can access messages from your personal email, so I always come on to the site.

I think I have had about 5 such messages over the last couple of years.

My approach is if they really want to contact me, they will try again ............ and NOT by sending the automatic "I have opened my tree to you" or "Open your tree to me".

Yes I did come onto the site to pick up the message but it wasn't there. All I had were receipts from GR. Oh well, I can't do any more. Thanks everyone.
