BUT - you can't order certs at the moment, and in any case, MMN is not shown on the records If she was illegitimate, he birth would be registered in the mother's name, and if that name isn't known, you're not likely to be able to find anything However, would the father's wife have taken in her husband's child by another woman???? Isn't it more probable that she was the woman's child - taken in by her husband? Have just looked at freebmd. NO records for the name Ralph Springhall........so how did you learn that he was allegedly born in Grimsby? NO Springhall records at all in Grimsby on freebmd
