I have been searching for some time for information on Hugh Anderson Rodden born in Scotland 1923.He married in Leith Edinburgh in1942.He moved to England around 1949.

When Covid restrictions are lifted, you need to buy the marriage cert through Scotlands People, to see who his parents were.


A possible daughter with middle name Livingston (Livingstone ?) was bon in Leith in 1942;, and possibly a son in 1946 in Leith.
However, you need the birth certs to be sure who these children's parents were. It's not possible to search with mother's maiden name for such recent Scottish births.

There were also three Rodden children born in Leith in the 1950's, but if Hugh had indeed moved away around 1949, they may not be the same family.

However - re Leith - a Hugh Rodden was living with a Nora Rodden in Leith in 1948 - and in earlier years - and up to 1966 - so maybe at least some of the children above are theirs:
