Have tried and failed to find a marriage for my great grandparents Thomas White born nov 1863 walsall staffs (have cert) Sarah Ann Whitehouse born Dec 1868 Walsall staffs (have cert) first child as far as I know Dora White born Feb 1890 shelfield Walsall has Mother Sarah Ann White formerly Whitehouse please can anyone find their marriage, I have tried ancestry but no luck, wonder if anyone else can help Thanks Linda

Sarah ann would only have been 17, they were both born in Walsall and so were all their children, can't see a reason for them to be in nottingham, can't afford to send for certs if I'm not sure :( Linda

As she was under age, they could have married in a different area because she needed to lie about her age. Perhaps her father refused consent.............. Reg

He wasn't a miner, was he? The miners in my family seemed to move around the coalfields, some from Dudley married in Nottinghamshire. Heather

yes he was a miner! hmm maybe I can risk the cost of cert, will they still send it even if parents dont match? Linda

Linda if you put parents names on , and they don't match they wont send the cert. Gill
