Hazel, You say that the 1841 census suggests a year of birth of 1826. From this I assume the age shown is 15 for each of them. Remember that in the 1841 census ages were rounded down. So the age 15 could in fact reflect anything from 15 to 19 years of age. The apparent twins could in reality have been born 5 years apart and still have the same age on the 1841 census. Pete |

If they are on the IGI with the same baptism date they were not necessarily twins but checking the parish register itself might show an added note by the vicar, if they were infact twins. |

1826 is before registration began so their births won't be in the indexes. Have you tried the IGI? Kath. x |

hi gwyn, i was looking to see if my 3x g father was a twin as he has a sister called susan who according to 1841 census they were bon in the same year 1826 but now i find i cant get to do it hazel |
