Lynda, why is it always the one you want to find that has gone missing? Heather

Don't know where Silvester was in 1841, but he is alive and well on the 1881 census. I knew of all the siblings/phillips on the igi, but I really want to find the elusive Ann, my gg grandmother.

There were several children with parents John and Elizabeth christened in Willenhall, check the igi. One was named Silvester, can't see him in 1841 though. Heather

What I meant was, because of her christening date she could be of any age when she gave birth to Thomas, and this fact is'nt helping me find her on any census's.

I agree with everything that Kathleen has written ..... and I have seen n instance where the entire family were christened at same time including the parents !! Cheaper deal.

Do you mean that because Ann was christened in 1828, that you think she was only 15 when she had a son, Thomas, presumeably about 1843? Sorry, I'm not sure if that is what you were saying. If so, she could have been older than 15, as she may not have been christened as a baby. Although most children were christened within a few weeks of birth, I have had instances where several children were all christened together, some quite a few years old. Sorry if I've misunderstood what you were asking. Kath. x

What are the odds, considering the dates, of these being the brother and sister I have been looking for? If they are, it means Ann was only 15 when she gave birth to her son Thomas, who Henry bought up. The birth date does tally for Henry, who I have been able to find from the1841 census to the1871 census, Henry died before the 1881 census. I have yet to find any further info on Ann, all I know is that she was born in Willenhall, and I believe didn’t move from there. I cannot find her on any census as a singleton, and have no idea if she married-any suggestions?
