Admittedly I haven't started looking in the 1871 census yet, as 1881 is baffling me at present. I need to pop out for about half an hour, but if anyone can help, I'd be most grateful. Thanks. Ellie

Merry, thank you so much. I was searching Ancestry and completely forgot that Family Search has the 1881 census - I'm assuming that's where you got it from? And thank you for looking up 1871 and 1861 for me too - I hadn't got that far! Suzanne - thank you for sorting out my message! When I first typed it, I had all the correct spacing in it, but it just wouldn't put them in when I uploaded the message. I even tried some basic html scripting, but that didn't work either! I now know why people type their message twice - once as a reply to themself! Thanks again, both of you. Ellie

I found it on Ancestry first, but copying from Family Search saves having to type out the occupations! Merry
