I have finally managed to organise all of the fantastic help that everyone has given me over the past few weeks doing census lookups, and have discovered that I am missing 5 out of the six families I know about from the 1851 census. Would anybody be kind enough to look these up for me please? See below in a sec...

Hey Rose, thanks for this! That's definately the right Hood, the siblings match what I've got in 41 and 61. Thanks for that! Fred Wade is proving tricky. I think he may have been in Norfolk, however St Lukes is where his future wife was born... Any chance you could show me the families on each please? Maybe the using-the-same-name for your kids thing will tie them up again, it's worked before.

Rose - I think the larger Sheppard family may be mine (both Alfred's born in the same year and same place and both plough boys in 1861 !), but will have to go for certs now. And the Chipperfield confirms my suspicions about him being widowed then marrying Myra Smith after she was widowed too - hence lots of kids with different names! Thanks very much, I really appreciate this. :-)

ooooh, bird cage maker is the most exotic profession so far, but doesn't fit at all into my ag lab lot! However St Lukes is good as he is there later. BUT, having a sister called Ellen is good too, as one of them came up later as a daughter's name I think .... Hmmmm, so many bits of jigsaw puzzles, and not a box lid in sight ! thanks for doing the lookups though, I just have to work out how some of these fit in. I love this game! Cheers Heidi :-)
